Brue, do those half finished needlework items shew that a " Second " person has been needling as I remember problems the girls in my family had due to differing tensions on the threads causing little uneven areas ??
{ All these points due to my being told so often to " Sit down Shut up and play with your building blocks " }

We are watching the Marine v Spurs match. I love all the spectactors watching from their back gardens, drinks in hand and having a great time even though their team are losing. Marine are the only team this season with spectators! I just wish Marine had got a goal.

Yes, it was a good game, a lot more atmosphere than most games at the moment. Great goal by the 16 year old, Alfie Devine. I loved the sign just behind Jose M “I am single, looking to mingle”😂 And the cardboard Klopp, he moved house a couple of times I think. Nice little story around fans, Marine put 1000 virtual tickets up for sale, to get a bit of cash in, they ended up selling 20,000, many to Tottenham fans. Nice bit of cash there for them.
We watched Leeds Utd get an absolute stuffing as well, earlier this afternoon.

Our “prewash” has just ambled in from his basket. We forgot and put a plate on floor while watching match. He doesn’t miss a trick🤣

Yes I loved the 'I'm single and ready to mingle' sign as well 😃 Great goal from the 16 year old. The game was played in such great spirit. It was very refreshing.

Well remembered ABM, sometimes you can see differences. I shared knitting a footie scarf for my OH with Mum. We could see the difference, luckily he never noticed.👍

No, not with carefully selected ones done by good needle "persons," they usually show the back of the work as well as the front on ebay, I'm very picky! (I do lots of my own too but I can't resist finishing something that needs love and attention.)
I did finish one for my Aunty once who'd lost the abilty to sew and although it was a mess on the back she was pleased to see the final item.
Must be my primary school days..we didn't dare get a stitch wrong in sewing lessons!

I have two big projects oN the go brue. One is a Lavender and Lace Celtic lady, Summer. The other is George and the Dragon. All the cross stitch is done on the latter, but every change of colour has to be backstitched, and it’s got a tad tedious. Supposed to be making it into a fire screen......one day.

Another good day all round. Although it was dull, it had warned up somewhat, and it stayed dry till mid afternoon. Went for my Vaccination and all done and away within 35 mins. We then had a decent walk over through the nature reserve by the shore. Then received a phone call from the hospital to arrange a day for my stitches to come out. Stopped in at Aldi on the way home for milk and came away loaded, 4 large Xmas puddings, 2 medium sized Xmas cakes, 3 small boxes of Moser Rath chocolate creams, and large Panetonne Classico all for under £1 in total!!

I was listening to a programme radio 4 this morning where they were talking about ring necked parakeets. Most people had seen green but one lady had seen a yellow one. She was my boss at the NHS at one time. She pops up everwhere - she was on Gardeners Question Time a few months ago!
It sounds as though you had a succesful day Nellie. You are all stocked yp up for next Christmas! So pleased you got you covid vaccination

Only 1 thing to say - PIGGIES.

Glad the jab went well. Looks like your luck was in today.

We will certainly keep a couple of the puds for next year as their use by date is March 2022. The rest will be consumed during the year, and we won't eat them all at once.
Had to get them today as I'm sure they will all be gone by the time we go there again in the week.Jab certainly went well but my arm is feeling heavy now. Hopefully that will wear off by tomorrow.

That’s quite an Aldi haul Nellie. I love it when you come away with a huge bag of goodies for next to nothing. We did the reverse at Waitrose before Xmas, a small bag and we spent a fortune. But it’s swings and roundabouts. Waitrose do a really lovely Lemon Mayo, we like to stock up.
I think Aldi sell the best tasting chocolate by far. Love their seashells😋

My ' local ' Aldi has been turned into an Iceland Food Warehouse and Aldi is now on the far-side of the old teacher training college / Manchester Metro University, so now its only accessible if I drive and i will have eaten all that Diabetic Choccy by the time I've reversed, turned round and driven back home

Ah well, nothing lasts for ever snivel sob sob

Woo-Hoo! Last week Mrs M had an email from NS&I saying she'd won a premium bond prize! We've had quite a few £25 wins before now, so didn't get too excited about it. But I've just checked our balance on the app ..... and it's a £500 bonus!

Question now is do I let her know? (Second question, obviously is how do we go about spending it at the moment?

Another dull wet day here today so just moving on with the decorating trying to get it finished over the next week or so. Just had a delivery from Iceland as before excellent service managed to book a slot last night and it arrived today at the stated time we found them very good during the first lockdown recommended to anyone looking for a quick delivery

Had to hang around this morning as I had to take MiL to town for a Chiropodists appointment, then hang around in town whilst she was in there. Had a few little jobs to do, pharmacy, paying in a cheque at the bank etc. Most of the snow now melted.
Your luck has changed Moulesy. You may want to use the money on plastic surgery if you don't tell Mrs.M.

That’s a nice little bonus😁 Mum had same back in November. We got a message last week, haven’t checked it yet. Probably only £25, but we like the surprise. We clear far more in winnings every year than a Bank would give us.😁

Better day than forecast, how often does that happen. Rain all day was the forecast, we got blue skies and sunshine
not to different
More decorating like Francis for us, we should however finish it tomorrow. Then it will be putting the curtain rail back up and the blinds, furniture back in place then I think I'll give the carpet a shampoo.
Nice decent walk this afternoon, ground has started to thaw so muddy in places. Not so many folk out today even though it was a nice day and milder.
We've only had NS&I for the last year but we've had 2 lots of £25 each so quite happy with that as TDA says better than the banks are doing and there is always a chance for a bigger win.
Well done to Mrs M

Had a couple of £25's this month but I lack the golden touch of Mrs M although I've had some for years.

Nice to win something, OH had £50 this month. My BIL had some for years and never won anything so I can't say wins happen to everyone but ours have been ok.
Like Francis decorating still going on here, in between back pain tablets for OH! I ordered a new blind for the kitchen today and the new ceiling lights have gone in. Sorted out food order with neighbour, Waitrose must think we're big spenders and mad keen on cucumbers!!

Good news ABM! (I hope they didnt ask for your card details

Pleased you're off for the jab ABM, won't it be good when we hear lots more are heading off for the same.
What a horrible wet rainy day here. More painting for OH and we're trying to re-arrange the kitchen a bit as we go. The MOT is due on the M/H soon and he's spotted a headlight problem so that needs fixing. I'm wondering how long we'll be at home now.
Had a long chat with my sister who is piecing together family photos for photobox albums for my nephews so I sent of scanned photos to her last night. These albums are lovely but really exhausting to put together!

OMG.........scaffolders are here🥳 Had to provide masks (they need to go through garage) but ok with this. Just keeping an eye out, make sure they don’t drop anything on MH or MG😱

Frosty cold night again last night but a beautiful start to the day today so no complaints.
I've just finished the last of the paining
now to start putting things back like curtains and blinds, after I've had a cuppa though.Rest of house can now get a good dust and hoover as its really needing it now the decorating has finished for the time being.
ABM, good news on the covid vaccination

No😁 Just glad it’s now gone. They managed to leave a pole behind, but it might be ideal for a step banister at Mum’s in her garden.
We can get on with plenty of jobs now. Got a freezer to move, MH to sort out inside and out, logs to transport through to store, hole in garage roof to repair. And I can sort my garden a lot easier as well
Just checked our Bonds, £100, nice start to year🤩
