I will be Group 8 I think. So please send photos of your trips to keep me occupied until around September😁
No snow here. No scaffolders either.☹️ I can’t wait to hear this week’s excuse if they don’t turn up.
I see a police man caught up in Capitol riot has died now. Hope it all calms down over there.

My OH often says I'm not listening, well...something like that I think?
0 -
I though that was just me - thank you
My OH thinks that I listen with my eyes as apparently as if I'm not looking in her general direction I can't be listening.

Oh🤣🤣🤣🤣 I cant wait to show this thread to my OH. I have been found guilty so many times of not listening.
Does anyone’s OH read out news articles to them as well, when they know you are reading the same article?😂

Off soon to make a special birthday lunch for Mrs WN. She's not going to eat it as it's smoked salmon and Serrano toasties but no reason why I can't celebrate it, is there? Peanut Butter on Crackers for OH. Yuk.
Quite a snowfall this morning. News of accidents on the local A55. Van stuck skidding in the village when I walked up for the paper. 2 of us socially distanced at the back got it moving so that's my exercise done for the day.
Ttda. Put a banner up in large letters on the Scaffolding.
"XYZ Scaffolders are absolute rubbish. Never, Ever Hire them"

PLEASE be careful because people are going crazy from being locked down at home!🤪🤣
I was just talking about this with the microwave and the toaster while drinking my tea, and we all agreed that things are getting bad.
I didn’t mention any of this to the washing machine, because she puts a different spin on EVERYTHING!! Certainly couldn’t share with the fridge, cause he’s been acting cold and distant!
In the end, the iron straightened me out! She said the situation isn’t all that pressing and all the wrinkles will eventually be smoothed out!
The vacuum, however, was very unsympathetic…told me to just suck it up! But the fan was VERY optimistic and gave me hope that it will soon blow over.
The toilet looked a bit flushed but didn’t say anything when I asked its opinion, but the front door said I was becoming unhinged and the doorknob told me to get a grip!! You can just about guess what the curtains told me: they told me to “pull myself together!”
We will survive!!
😂😀😷😘💖😎🤗9 -
Crossed my mind. Still waiting.
Dog walk for me next. Brave our local park, hoping that the damp weather will keep the sunshine only exercise types indoors. Those that are incapable of walking without taking up the whole ruddy path.
I am thinking of getting some Ben Hur style scythe wheels for the pooch’s chariot........ and a little voice recording....”beep, beep, this dog is reversing.....beep, beep, this dog is reversing....”

There’s nothing strange about loving a kitchen appliance😁 I sat next to my dishwasher, lovingly cooing back to it most of yesterday afternoon. 🥰😂

We are in the 75 to 80 without any underlying health problems group, so I guess No.3. Hope you and Mrs KN soon get you jags, and all others that are waiting too of course.

Yes, and not only that she gets annoyed if I'm ahead and I point out that I read it a while back. That's the problem with digital news.

OH used to do it with paper when we had one. I have the none committal “uh huh” down to a fine art now.
Mind, occasionally he says I do have that “looks up, mouth slightly open, slow blinking, long pause, trying to guess the right answer” response every now and then😂
Day two of putting the kitchen back together is going ok. Dodgy knees and a tendency to cramp (never happens on a bike) occasionally hampering rapid progress, but we should be back together for tea time.
Scaffolding you ask? 😡

Busy day yesterday, local gas man came to service the boiler, early, hand sanitiser at the ready and mask worn. Kitchen windows open, he had to work in the cold
It felt strange having someone else in the house. It was then a trip up to the surgery for my flu jab, did ask re Covid vaccine, nurse said they hadn't received any but a video meeting was planned for the afternoon to organise plans.
Quieter day today, woke to some snow, not busy at work, finished early
Just Ordered a couple if new jigsaws for lockdown, can't face decorating just yet!

Nellie, glad your op went well, best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Wherenext, please pass on Birthday greetings to Mrs WN.
Ttda, pleased to hear dishwasher is back up and running.

That is quick! Up here they have not even started group 2. 😟
Not sure whether the FM is deliberately playing down progress or what, but at this rate OH will possibly not get her first dose until March sometime.
We were hoping to get away for a bit, up north. We have booked one Club site and one CL.....one we had to cancel last Easter, hope we do not have to do that again this year.
We are not going to be further from home than we could drive back in one day, leaving the van on a site, so I suppose we could return home for our second vaccinations if necessary, though if they are now to be 12 weeks apart that will leave plenty of time for our planned 4-5 weeks away. Do not want to go away before we have had our first vaccinations.
And of course we do not even know how long the present lockdown will last, whether we will be allowed to travel anywhere in March. Next thing on the calendar is our caravan service, due at the end of February, but no point in arranging it if we cannot use the van around Easter.

WN, please say happy birthday to Mrs WN.
Its our Wedding Anniversary today 49 years, how did that happen. Big one next year so we had better be rid of this Covid by then.
Great news this afternoon, OHs Mum has been given the jab. My niece who is a doctors receptionist gets hers next week so does her son also key worker. Read on the Tayside FB page lots starting to be called for their jabs, not heard anyone from the village getting theirs yet but at least we now know they have vaccine in Perth.

We are in group 5 so don't expect ours until March providing supplies are still being delivered.
Walls all painted now, tomorrow its the gloss work. That's my job, OH does the walls with help from doing the fiddly bits and cleaning up of course.
I'm the guilty one when it comes to reading out bits from papers or online posts, OH is a master at the "uh huh" he's also selective deaf
then says I didn't tell him.So another vaccine been approved, Moderna this time, supposed to the most expensive one. Won't get supplies until Spring though.

Well done nellie on getting your covid jab so soon. I am in the same age group as you and your OH but haven't heard anything at all yet.In fact I haven't heard of anyone else in our age group getting it. I know of a number of over 80s in our area who haven't had it yet so I am not holding my breath.
We cleared out our bathroom and shower room cabinets today and sorted out all the medicines and found quite a few that were either out of date or not longer needed so as I was going to pick up a prescription this afternoon I took them all with me for them to dispose of. On my journey to and from the chemist - not many miles - I saw 5 emergency ambulances out on the road. It is not looking good.
OH has a habit of saying ' are you listening' in a loud voice if I am either on the internet or reading. 'No I am not - I am reading!' Also when watching the news he will be commenting on the last piece of news as I am trying to listen to the next

Bitterly cold, grey day here today. There was a hard frost yesterday evening when I went out to the bin at 6.00pm and it hasn't gone anywhere today.

We had to go out this afternoon for my pills, and a congratulations card and gift for a new baby, so DD asked us to bring her some Raspberry Leaf tea (apparently good in late pregnancy), plus a few items from our loft.......her dolls pram and pushchair........so they can show Callum how to be gentle with little brother!
Found lots of her toys still up there, but we were not allowed to bring them all, unfortunately!
Very cold again, more snow too overnight, but at least it has been sunny. We brought home the end of the free cot bed she got, which is a bit damaged, to see what I can do with it, then she plans to sand it all down and re-finish.
She does not work Friday afternoons, so was up a ladder painting the new cornice when we arrived . 😮 Quick drop off and pick up and we were home again before 15.00.
