@Fozzie you can delete the text from your post by using the edit function if you’re within the magic hour.

There wasn't a delete function in the last version and this one has the improvement of an hour to edit your post while in the last one it was a few minutes. Also now it states the post has been edited as well and time stamped. (I edited this one to show that - or I made a typing error😳)
There are times when I've posted something that was due to not reading something and I just post a follow up, if needed.

Tbh, I can’t say it’s something that bothers me. I think the important thing is the ability to remove the unwanted text and I don’t think complete deletion matters.

There certainly was a delete function on the previous version, hence the number of empty post, as long as one was quick to do it before anyone else posted on the subject after you. I do agree that it is much better having the hour to edit ones post, even after there is another lost.

I can't remember that function or perhaps never used it, but as to the empty posts I can't remember that those at all, it was always, 'content has been removed'.

Most of us used the edit button to make it clear we had removed the content ourselves @Cornersteady, so perhaps the delete button became erased from our memories 😀. I agree that no posts were ever completely empty.

@Rowena - I know the subject has been raised by several members but I had the same duplicating/elongated spelling problem on a Samsung Android I was using these last 2 days.
Some of the members that post on an infrequent basis seem to have stopped posting and I noticed that they were the ones who were having this problem. Are the IT dept prioritising fixing this problem? It's definitely an incompatibility problem between systems.
Would hate to see members dropping off posting altogether because its too much hassle.

I can't work it out, @Wherenext 😧 @InaD has this problem and is using a Samsung Tablet/ Android. I also use a Samsung Tablet/ Android (Samsung Tab S9 FE) and a Samsung Android phone (Note 20 Ultra) - fortunately I've been OK. Lets just hope Rowena has some luck with this...

I have this issue and inconsistent @ I Too am using either Samsung tablet or phone.
I couldn't start a new paragraph after the commercial at sign and nothing came up as a list
I must admit I'm finding it frustrating. Hopefully it won't stop me posting but I don't find it easy! I certainly miss the latest activity page when I want to pop in 😪

@Bakers2 The discussion page IS the latest activity page. Rowena has obviously made this thread a sticky so that she can see problems but the other discussions pop up as "latest" first. Not as easy or as good as the last Latest Activity but there just the same.

@Cornersteady by empty I meant devoid of any meaningful response to the preceding posts. As you quite rightly say they were not complete!y free from a message, only one to which no reply was appropriate.

Now of course a post deleted by the CM (perhaps mods?) and the whole post just disappears and this has already happened but I suppose you have to quick to notice. I think this looks better and neater all round.

This is what just happened when I tried the @ function. Started typing Wherenext (which now looks fine) after the @ symbol and that's where the problem obviously lies. Previously I've corrected it (which took a lot of time and effort, as every time I tried, it would still put duplicate letters in) so decided to leave it this time, to show what I keep getting.
YYoYYou'YYoYYou'rYYoYYou'YYoYYou're right - it has stopped me from contributing, how can I expect anybody to read my posts when they come out like this?
I wwawwas part of the trial and did report this, but maybe I'm in the minority with this problem, so nothing has been done. Although I know that Bakers2 has the same problem.
Overall, extremely frustrating 🤬

@Bakers2 as you can see I'm also still having problems, although your name has come out ok in this post, unlike Wherenext's and DSB's in my previous posts.

Oddly enough @InaD, I got an email to say you 'mentioned me'. That usually happens when @name is used (and comes out as red), but yours came out as @DDSDDSB, so don't understand why I got the email notification. Perhaps it was because you quoted my post??

I've tested CT on a number of different devices, computers, laptops, three different tablets one Apple (borrowed) and android, and all of varying ages and indeed one laptop is running windows 8.1, and a few phones (Apple borrowed) and browsers, and even late last night my aged Kindle and never get this problem. I hope it gets fixed for those few affected.

I've no trouble with the new CT on my PC, nor on my iPhone - but I cannot access it on my iPad. I log onto the main CAMC, then "Explore Club Together", the screen refreshes, but the page is blank. No words, no nothing.
The iPad is 12 years old, iOS 12.5.7 and is too old to up date the software, so maybe that's the issue. I was one of the Testing group and never used my iPad then.
I used to browse in an evening using my iPad, while sitting in a comfy chair, but not now. The main site still works OK.
I did hope to get a new iPad for my Birthday/Christmas - but opted for dentist's bills instead! And a new shower.
