😁 I did sort of wonder if you were thinking of Merrose😁 Roseland is lovely, we spotted a few sites we thought nice down there.

Marazion was (is) a special site to most of those who enjoyed it year after year. Totally unspoilt, very much back to a time before camping required all mod cons that the vast majority now like. We always felt immersed in a tiny little hamlet, farming going on all around, wildlife all around, surprisingly easy access to the most under developed and iconic areas of Cornwall, interesting towns like Penzance and Hayle that had more about them than just catering for the visitors. Times have changed though. I hope who ever has taken it on does well, it’s certainly one we would use.

Roseland is about as far as we can tow in a day (c350 miles) without pushing the risk of getting too tired and very late arrival. However marazion sounds good and one for the future if we want a change. Sometimes there are holidays or breaks when knowing what you are getting has its advantages, on other occasions it is good to try something new.

Yes, it’s 390 miles for us. We took to overnighting regular on our way down towing, but we used to use The Fosse Way, and made the journey enjoyable. Can remember the M5 being really quiet, and the A30. The West Penwith area is stunning, so much to see and do. One of the reasons we enjoyed Marazion Threeways was because you could take a look in the morning at the Atlantic coast, or the South coast, and often the weather was very different, even more so if you ventured down to the Lizard. There are one or two alternatives not far away, and Godrevy isn’t a bad site, just pricey, and amongst the other holiday camps, so it can get a bit busy on that side of the River Hayle.

Just over 300 miles for us. We usually stop somewhere on route for one night or more. Gone are the days when I used to do it in one go.

Well over 300 mps for us, so it would take us about 2 weeks, at least, to get there. laughing We don't like to hurry and would use numerous CLs on the way down. It certainly is a site we like and may well visit there in early autumn.

     Thanks Peedee for your post.👍
