How's your footy team doing?

Good result for you, seems you are comfortably placed mid table. Not so good for Brian's team though.

Just watched Achrintun and t'Alex on Quest teleprog = really shouldn't have done that !!
Dammit, they have just shewn the goals again .
Sad to see & to say that, like many others, they just have not got the funds to buy & keep players to let them stay up now. Still they can try for promotion next year !!

That was a very entertaining game and a good point against an in form team. However it should have been three points, and with a half competent referee it would have been.
He chalked off a perfectly good goals and we had three penalty shouts that on any other day at least two of them would have been given. Even the Blades fans on their forum were saying the same.
Ah well that’s football. The unbeaten run goes on but not for much longer, it’s the. Cottagers next Saturday at Craven Cottage and their big striker is absolutely on fire , he equalled the Championship goal scoring record yesterday with loads of games to go!

Wow and wow! The Terriers go marching on.
That has to be the performance of the season so far, and we were awarded a penalty which we scored! That’s only the second penalty we’ve had this season and we missed the other one.
Hats off to the Town fans who made it darn sarf today you could hear them all match long.
On to Wednesday when the Bluebirds visit the JSS, I’ll be there, all being well.

Great win there, Rog. It's getting very congested around the top now.

Spot on Nellie. As you said it’s points on the board and many of the teams around us still have to play each other and Fulham. However as our manager said after the match, he’s not getting carried away with the league position because other teams still have matches to play.

Don't think t'Alex will be flavour of the month on the south coast anymore since, after yesterdays and last nights rain the match officials waited 'til lunchtime today before having the ground checked over for soggy porridge of which I believe there was plenty !! Still it gave Portsmouth's coach drivers experience of the latest not so Smart motorways under foul conditions

Off topic, but Town related.
On Man City’s “Blue Moon” fanzine, Town’s away kit was recently voted the most beautiful football shirt ever see.
And who could argue, certainly not me ⚽️⚽️⚽️.

Look on the bright side Brian. T'Alex didn't lose.
I see Kane gave a wonderful audition for the City number 9 job yesterday. Plays like a dork all season and then decides he better pull his finger out unless he'll be stuck with Totteringham.

Wow, Harry certainly put a shift in!
But I really enjoyed watching one of my favourite players, Son Heung Min, have a brilliant game. What an absolutely wonderful player.
It was freezing at the match, but you really can’t beat watching live sport at that level. 🙂⚽️🙂
ps, really love those Town away shirts……🙂⚽️🙂⚽️🙂 I worked in Huddersfield for years, at what was the ICI plant, so must be entitled to wear one….? 🙂

Of course you can wear one. I was interviewed and accepted for a laboratory job at ICI back in the day but couldn’t pass the medical. They wouldn’t entertain anyone with allergies😱
I think I mentioned when the shirt came out it’s dedicated to the NHS and a donation was made for every one sold. I believe the light blue stripe references the light blue of the NHS logo. Normally Town wear it with matching dark blue shorts but in the last two away matches they’ve worn it with the home strip white shorts in an effort to make things better for supporters with Colour Vision Deficiency.

Rog, great to read both that they are giving a donation to NHS, and that they must have listen to those supporters with CVD.

Until I read about it I thought that it was only red and green that caused problems. The six nations match between Ireland and Wales was the example used in one report which I read. Apparently people who suffer from CVD also have a problem with blue.
Town’s third strip is a kind of very light blueish green shirts, described as mint, with the same coloured shorts. And this was a problem in the match against Derby County who play in white shirts and black shorts. So the club are taking this into account when deciding what combination of shirts and shorts to wear away from home.
The home kit is the traditional blue and white stripes and this year the shirt is a retro design to commemorate the fact that it’s 100 years since Town won the FA Cup. The names of the players in that team are embroidered inside the back of the neck just to add a bit of extra interest.
I can bore for England 😳

Just my luck. I had to leave early on Wednesday night. I had a stinking cold all weekend and shouldn’t really have gone to the match . I got frozen stiff and had to give up my battle with elements while we were still 1-0 down.

Brian, that reminded me of that famous piece of snooker commentary by Whispering Ted Lowe who said “ for those of you watching in black and white , the red is just behind the brown.”
The matches are coming thick and fast now, Town are at St Andrews tomorrow. Can they keep the unbeaten run going, 16 in all competitions? It’ll be a big ask.

Thanks for asking but Town’s manager says we have to remain humble and focus on being the most competitive we can be, at least that’s what I think he said, he speaks at 100 mph.
But an unbeaten run currently looks like 17 in all competitions. 10 wins and 7 draws.
It has to end sometime but please not to those Posh lot next Friday 🙏🙏🙏

I can recommend a visit to the Cathedral Pliers. It’s a while since I’ve been but I think Catherine of Aragon is buried there.
I’ve not been to London Road but passed it many times on the train. It looks in need of a little TLC.
Hope City give them a bit of a run around and get them well and truly tired for Friday
Come on Citeh

OMG! Edge of seat stuff here, Boro are beating Tottenham. Much nail biting happening, clock not ticking fast enough😬🤞🤞🤞🤞

Yes🥳🥳🥳🥳 Quarter finals, bring it on. They were absolutely fantastic tonight, thoroughly out played Spurs.

Well done Boro.
Having watched the Posh v City match I am really concerned that our unbeaten run will come to an end on Friday. I thought that the Posh played well and City found them difficult to break down until Mahrez came up with a bit of magic.I was hoping that the match might go into extra time to tire a few legs but McCann rotated well and they’ll be raring to go. Hopefully they’ll run out of steam in the second half.
