I think the main stand and offices are on the English side of the border so it’s likely the club pays its taxes and business rates in England.

The wee Scottish lassie has relaxed the restrictions in time for the return of Scottish football from their winter break so that leaves the Welsh in the minority now.

Come on you Alex, a couple more wins and you’ll be climbing the table. Then you’ll be able to sing that time honoured football chant “, eey eey eey oh, up the football league we go”

It looks like there will be a near full house at the JSS on Saturday, Yorkshire folk love a bargain ( tickets even in the best seats only a fiver). Town on a seven match unbeaten run against a Swansea team not at their best. Just the sort of match Town always lose

The Hull Daily Mail is reporting that the take-over of Hull City by Acun Ilicali is now complete.  It's been a long time coming but let's hope that this is the beginning of a new era for the club. Not that much left of the transfer window, but let's see what happenssmile

Brilliant result, given their respective positions in the league.  Let's hope this is the sort of lift that everyone has been waiting forsmile

And another one Richard, a team rejuvenated I think. Hope the your result will inspire Rovers on Monday, as they would then be up to second.

UTT Rog, another great result for you too. It must have been a grand match to go be at for a Terriers supporter.

ABM, found the video which I think you might appreciate, then again maybe not!!wink

Although I'm not surprised, it's a bit sad given City's recent resurgence, but Grant McCann has got the boot, so to speak.  New Manager in the pipeline and some exciting prospective signings being lined up. The new owner is certainly making his presence felt.

Yes a great result and the unbeaten run is up to nine. Season tickets will be due for renewal soon and they should come with a health warning, “. Not for those of a nervous disposition”

Saturday’s match is perfect example. 1-0 down after 5 minutes, 1-1 after 9 minutes, 2-1 up after 14 minutes, 2-2 after 21 minutes, 3-2 up after 24 minutes and 3-3 after 44 minutes. Six goals in the first half!

Town then go 4-3 up in the 53rd minute and see the match out comfortably. Our top scorer scored a hat-trick and was also the last Town player to do so when he played for us previously.

It’s the Potters up at the JSS on Friday under the lights, they’re on a good run too so we’ll see how good Town really are.

Well Rovers did it tonight, up to second, but a close thing. QPR are the team to look out for now, sneaking up unnoticed with the games in hand to go into second place.

I noticed that Brereton-Diaz wasn’t playing last night, does that mean he’s on his way  to the greedy league or is he injured?

Neither, he's away with the Chile squad, but they will do well to hang onto him.

Richard, a bit fierce that, the sacking of Grant McCann after such two good wins!surprised

Two point dropped there I think, Rog. Has opened the door for the next two below you to grab a place in the top 6.

Yes, but Illicali - according to the press conference yesterday, certainly seems keen to put his stamp on the Club. Some interesting signings in the pipeline and an announcement that children and seniors can watch the matches for £2 - to try and get the supporters back. A big hit with a lot of previously disillusioned fans.  We will see how it pans outmoney-mouth

Yep a depressingly familiar result. The last three home matches have all been far too similar. Town go ahead in a good first half and then concede late into the second half. Those six points thrown away would really have made a difference.

On the plus side they are unbeaten in ten now in all competitions.

Wayne Romney’s Derby County up next on Wednesday followed by a Yorkshire derby in t’cup on Saturday.

I’m wondering whether I’ll go and watch the ladies get slaughtered by Everton in their cup tie on Sunday. When the lasses last played in the Stadium they lost 4-1 to Ipswich, a team below them in the pyramid, so how they’ll get on against a premier league team is anybody’s guess.

Similar for Rovers today, Rog, and those around all won, apart from the top dog and WBA. It's going to be a dogfight up to the final whistle I suspect, with teams swapping places on a weekly basis.

Another good result there Richard, and a bit of a gap developing from bottom 5.

It certainly was, nth!  It was what I was predicting but I daren't say it out loud because I know how many times they have disappointed in the past, but the team certainly seem to be on a bit of a roll at the moment. The new owner says he has his sights on the play-offs by the end of the season, but I can't see that happening. Be nice if I was wrong, thoughwink

Can't see it happening, Richard, a 13 point gap is a lot to make up, even over the 16 matches left.

How did your teams do in the January window.

Town did nothing all month until the final day when three new faces came in and none of our better players went out. On balance a good window for us.

I say new faces, this is Town and we can’t resist getting a former player back, but this a really good lad who was on loan from Ajax last season and left Genk to come back to Huddersfield

    Happy days UTT Rog

One in, one out for local team, but seems have had a good effect as a victory this evening against a side who if they had won would have been in the top three.

I agree Nellie, the match the other night was a strange one. Derby were reduced to 10 men as early as the third minute and from then gave us a lesson in back to the wall defending and time wasting. I thought our keeper was a master of the art but their  entire team and coaching staff took it to another level. They must have PhDs in the subject.

Fortunately our manager really went for the win, firstly replacing a centre back with a midfielder and then taking another defender off and putting a second striker on.

The Derby supporters were in good voice and in the main well behaved although some of their chanting was profane in the extreme, mainly aimed at the EFL.😳

On to tomorrow and the Dingles are at the JSS in’t cup..

Appalling behaviour. Apparently he tried to drop kick the poor animal.

Anyhoo back to football, I seem to have spent an inordinate amount of time at the JSS lately , I’ve been three times in the last 13 days and I’ll be there again tomorrow lunchtime, don’t you just love Sky for messing about with kick off times.

I fear that Town’s unbeaten run, 13 in all competitions, could come to an end tomorrow. It looks like the weather will be as bad as last week when it ultimately ended up in our favour. Barnsley had a goal chalked off in the final minute of injury time, I reckon the ref couldn’t face extra time and possibly penalties. The wind and rain was horrendous I got drenched walking from the car park to the ground and the same going back after the match.

A local derby for you Rog, and those can go any way, as you well know.

A win for the local team would ease a lot of worries, so fingers crossed.

Rovers have another difficult match on Monday, two sides on loosing streaks, so it will probably end in an unwanted draw.
