How's your footy team doing?

Oh no he wasn't !! Came on here to Crow & Chirp away 'appily but after logging on all he got was a very very slow crawl to ESSENTIAL MAINTENANCE !!
And still not a Happy Camper 'cos Dukky is still sitting outside my front window when it , and I , should be running off pages of sites, routes and generally planning away merrily but I will approach the Lockdown Release with the same steady system that has served me well since December 2019 !!
Take Care, Play Safely --> it is day light not an oncoming express

Hi, Wherenext, yes, we’re both fine, thanks. Just haven’t been looking in on CT so much recently, must make more effort!
And yes, City are doing really well, typical when we can’t go to the games, not the same watching on TV. But big game, tomorrow, anything could happen, fingers crossed for another 3 points ⚽️🙂

Town’s shirt last night featured the names of some NHS heroes who had been nominated by fans. Our young keeper’s sister is an A&E sister and so his name was on the back of his shirt and his sister’s name was on the front. I don’t know about you it I think that’s class

Up to 12th I see, and even Moulesy 's team manager a win and climbed out of the bottom 4.

Stanley get thumped 4-1 by 'the Gas' last night. It seems everytime they play away against a team with supporters contributing on this thread, they get thumped! (Moulsey no doubt in utter elation!)
Home and away, the fixture ended 7-5 in Stanley's favour Still have enough games in hand to secure a play off place.

Disbelief more than elation!
Yes, I have to grit my teeth to say it but Joey Barton does seem to have put a bit of a spring into the steps at The Mem. Still 3 defeats out of 5 but the performances have been spectacularly improved. But last night's result will be wasted if they don't turn over Wimbledon on Saturday.

No one was more surprised than me when Hull City gave Peterborough a thumping last night and have gone top again. Trouble is, they're two or three games in front of most of the opposition up there, so they've still got their work cut-out to get back into the Championship.

Perhaps a better example of Town’s class is the fact that over the last twelve years or so the Town Foundation has set up over 40 breakfast clubs in schools where there are a number of disadvantaged children. These clubs provide free breakfasts and the total is around 2 million provided so far ensuring that these children can have a decent level of concentration at school. It’s called the Early Kick Off campaign.
Prior to Covid restrictions much of the funding for this was raised by sponsored cycle rides known as Pedal for Pounds. P4P has had to be suspended for now. The last one planned was to have taken in all the football grounds in Yorkshire and including Middlesbrough’s Riverside stadiumThe most evocative P4P was the one which saw riders visit each of the graves of the 6 Town players killed in WW1 and sent 160 or so cyclists to Belgium and France. Now that is class with a big C

LIKE ~~ Times 5, Roger
We all see, hear, read the bad things that occur round footy Roger but very little about the good stuff unless it's a personable and wealthy young man, sad to say.
P.S. I am full of praise for the lad and most certainly NOT KNOCKING HIM !

Had a good giggle with my Die-Hard Alex fan neighbours about the name of the visitors today ( Don't go for a Burton etc and such-like )
Now I'm envisioning seeing folks walking round Crewe wearing poor quality bright red n yellow tartan style three piece suits ( with extra pants) totalling about 40 quid each . Not sure if there is an authentic Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink tartan yet { Sniffle, snivel sob sob sob }
At least the result should bolster the evening for the missing Pauline and that would be helped by the present score line for Forest her original favourites who are leading 1 - 0 at present

That's the second double of the season and against a side in a decent vein of form.
Town won with what's becoming a sort of trademark goal, four passes and runs with the ball from our area to theirs and a terrific volley that had their keeper rooted to his line. Mind you the same player had a similar shot a couple of weeks ago which would have gone into row Z, if we had one at the JSS🤓

Another truly awful performance from The Gas yesterday and I see Joey Barton is now saying it's all down to pre-season and blaming the manager before last. Well, you get what you deserve, Joey and we were only saved from dropping into the bottom 4 by ....er.....Crewe and Accrington Stanley yesterday so thank you Brian and jonray (is that a new pseudonym now?).
Only the even more hopeless Swindon Town (ooh, now above us in the league) stand between us and the abyss which is trips to honeypots like Mansfield and Walsall next year now. Bring on Tuesday!

BOO!! Jonray aka Ex-Tugger here It wont take a professor to work out I'm now an ex Tugger. An offer was made which was too good to be true and after 6 years happy ownership, the incredible wobblebox is going to new owners, somewhere near Robin Hood's old haunt I believe.
Will you be taking over the Chairmanship at t'Alex Brian? Nasty old business. One very rotten apple in the barrel, but I think it's just the tip of the iceberg and not solely linked to football. What a horrible world we live in. There'll be a pandemic soon, mark my words!

I saw the three programmes on BBC , Jonray, led by Victoria Derbyshire on this subject. If you can get it off BBC iplayer JR the very worst part is the last five minutes of the " Apologies and Credits "~~ utterly appalling ~~ I am just glad that I was a rubbish footballer & spent yonks with my head in a series of school books .

I'm glad you realised you were a rubbish footballer Brian. After all, there are many masquerading in the leagues as 'footballers' and don't realise how rubbish they are! Many should've kept their noses in their skool books!
Nice to see the National side winning 5-0 last night (What do you mean San Marino are part-timers?!!! ) IN-GER-LAND!!

Was not sure if my previous post had registered , JR, I was half way thro' a novel-length rant when Essential Mtce chopped me off at knee height.
BUT to hammer home my point :~~
you said one rotten apple sadly NOT TRUE !
The credits I mentioned stated quite clearly That over the period from Nov 2016 to March 2018 some 849 abuse survivors reported to the Police naming 300+ suspects AND 332 Clubs.
It took Bowler a full week to 'retire' after the full report was published -- five years too late !!
There is now no room even for my sense of humour, sorry

Cheer up Brian t'Alex have reached the magic 50 points which will all but guarantee League 1 football next season.
Town seem to have developed a penchant for re-signing former players. Danny Ward returned in the summer window, mind you I don't think he's played 90 minutes in total so far this season he's always injured .
Then in the January window we signed Duane Holmes from Derby. Frank Lampard saw something in him that Rooney didn't. Now it seems that Jordan Rhodes is coming back for next season, he'll be out of contract at the Owls.
At this rate we'll have to change the name to Huddersfield reUnited !
