My heart aches and a drowsy numbness pains my sense, as though of hemlock I had drunk. (Keats)

What a drubbing ! They won three of the last four and then do that!  and pick up two more injuries. Half the first eleven are now out with long term injuries, they're getting injured at the rate of two or three per match.

    Hey ho UTT Rog 😢

Oh, for a draught of Vintage  wink

One down after 3 Minutes, then Second-Half-Crewe [ just one word cool ] got stuck in and even when the Cobblers decided it was not foot ball but Kick Men  they could not stop The Railwaymen  !!

Actually we do not see many nightingales around Gresty Road  !!

Or ' a beaker full of  the warm  South with beaded bubbles winking at the brim"

Nice to see that someone has a team that can turn a game round. Up the Alex.

Our lot have a chance to redeem themselves mid week with a visit to St Andrews, not to play Brum but their squatters Coventry. Always assuming they can raise a team or persuade a few off the treatment table.

Woo Hoo! Tisdale's new look Gas are on a roll! 3 wins and 9 goals in a week, not to mention half a dozen in the Cup against the mighty Darlington! Unfortunately Cup success has meant a high profile league match against ... er ... Crewe has had to be put on hold .... come on Brian, put your money where your mouth is. ... I bet you 10p we'll turn you over when we do eventually get to play! wink

Stricken with the dreaded virus down at The Mem just now, Brian. Just keeping our powder dry before surging up the league next year. Got the mighty MK Dons to contend with on Boxing Day first though! smile

(Good to see The Alex doing so much better than the other 3 who came up last year! )

At last a short respite from the mad season run of games (9 games in 28 days)

Town's form in those games; won 4 lost 3 drawn 2 Thursday four wins on the bounce at home, and Christmas came early at the JSS yesterday. The Hornets gifted us a couple of goals even going so far a  to score one of them for us!

On to Oakwell on Boxing Day for a real blood and thunder Yorkshire derby

Good to see the Alex on a roll Brian 👏

Have a good safe Christmas all

Came from behind again, like any good fullback should  !!  But still 6 now I'm told without defeat so who am I to grumble & grouse.

May you get all the points that you deserve multiplied by the points that you hope for,  well it is the season of good will  innit  wink

A mixed week for the Terriers, lost to a very late goal at Oakwell and won with a late goal at home. That's 5 wins on the trot at home, 6 unbeaten.

Oddly the last three goals have been scored by centre backs, what a versatile lot they are.

The new year starts with a visit by the Royals (Reading not Her Maj et al) another tough game.

A happy and healthy new year everyone. Stay safe

No footy so no points for t'Alex, not sure if it's us or the Shrews but I do recall their old ground, Gay Meadow was on the banks of t'Severn & they employed a bloke in a rowing boat ( or was it a coracle ?? undecided ) to recover any misdirected clearances . Oh ~ ## those were the days my friends  ##

Stay Safe so no drinking that awful half-time beverage please, without at least reading the label on the bag thingy  wink

I remember that ground. I had relatives in South Wales who I used to visit and you could see into the ground from the train on the way back North.

Well the good home run came to its end. The Royals'  top scorer did the business in the second half.

The lads can have a bit of a breather before the visit of Plymouth int' cup.

We can now concentrate on the league. The B team acquitted themselves well. They lead twice only going down to a latish goal. The only first team player both in the starting 11 and on the bench was the keeper and he hasn’t started recently.

I really shouldn’t chuckle too much about what happened to that lot from down the A62 but it’s difficult 😂

I remember a few good cup runs Brian and since 1962.

I remember queuing round the old Leeds Road ground for tickets to see them beaten by Sheffield Wednesday around that time. That would have been in the sixth round I guess.

I also remember going to the old Wembley with my daughter to see them get beaten on penalties by Swansea in the Auto Windshield Trophy.

    There's a bit of a theme emerging here😲

The Terriers are at Watford today. With the number of first team players we have injured I expect a thumping.

Anybody got a keeper to spare? Town sold the number one to Swansea yesterday and the "hologram " is injured . Looks like the under 17 lad will be on the bench. God help us if our current first choice gets injured.

    UTT Rog 🤞🙏🙏

OH, Botheration  yet another away draw  Conceded a penalty in the first half then came back strongly & brilliantly to score a bagful of away goals --  ok ok just the one but enough for a draw and maintain a mid table spot  ~~ About all t'Alex can afford these days of crowd free footy.

Good luck to all you lot out there, Keep Warm Dry and Safe Please  wink

Only fair we gifted them a goal when they did the same at our place 🙄

Beaten by yet another "freak" goal yesterday.  So, out of the cup,  out of the Papa John's Trophy  (yes, really) and back staring at the big drop! surprised

And next up an away trip to some bunch named after a girl!

Big day on Tuesday Brian - it's my birthday too so I'm expecting a brilliant performance from The Gas - best get that 10p ready! laughing

It'll take more than MY Ten Pence Piece to make it a memorable Tuesday Birthday I'm sorry to say, Moulesy  -- it'll cost you more than THAT to bribe the locals to allow you into the Socially Distanced Chippy just across the road from the ground !!

I'll also have you know that the esteemed Football Club is named after Alexandra of Denmark the Beautiful Wife Consort of His Majesty King Edward VII  ( so there  tongue-out  thruuuuupppttt )
