    That's an interesting fact Brian.

The Gas, of course, are named after an old gas holder (think just like outside the boundary at The Oval in the olden days! )  wink

Come on now, time to stop making jokes at Crewe's expense. They're going to need all our sympathy in just over 5 hours time! surprised

If you are tuning in to the match, tonight Moulesy A Word of Warning  -- make sure that the receiver is stood firmly on a waterproof surface because

1 ) the ground in Cheshire is only slightly dryer than the Bristol Channel  !!

    and

2 ) your tears will need somewhere to flow

Joking apart I do hope you have been well treated & cared for by Mrs M and kept warm by mutts snuggling up, even if they are only after big snacks from your  97th Birthday cake  innocent

P.S. Use Hook n' Loop stuff  ( Velcro is the name of the manufacturer, NOT the fixing stuff ! )

Aarghh! Bit unfair of your lads to score while ours were still trying to work out what happened at the end of Escape to Victory or whatever classic they were watching on the coach trip.  And then to do it again!

    There's no justice! laughing

Well done, Brian and your boys - it was an exciting game and I thought we'd got back into it at 2-2 but our defence has let us down yet again  (star goalie out injured, mind you) and we couldn't just get that elusive 3rd goal (star striker out injured, mind you) wink.

This season is shaping up just like the last time we dropped to league 2 - a constant mantra of "lots of positives" and "we've got games in hand" - trouble is we keep losing them.

Thank goodness for hopeless teams like Swindon and Wimbledon keeping us put of the drop zone.

So a virtual 10p (or one trillionth of a bitcoin) is winging it's way through the ether to you - at least it will be if you could just let me have your sort code and account number! (Oh, and I think I need your PIN too just to be sure!) laughing

But as long as the games take our little minds off the chaos across the pond tomorrow then it will have been worth while I think

Town are at Ashton Gate on Tuesday, not a happy hunting ground we don't often win there. A win would be nice🤞

Thanks Moulsey they'll need all the help they can get. They're likely to be up against up to four ex Town players. One of them is bound to score, my money's on Nakhi Wells

Given the amount of fraternisation that goes on during matches, can I be assured that teams live in a totally isolated "bubble" without contact with "anyone" outside the team?

If this is not the case then there is a significant potential for virus spread, so why is football a "specially exempt case"? Is frequent testing really effective?

In their case It would appear not, CY !  I saw on telebox last w/end the humour surrounding the shouted comments by  Big Fat Sam for, " No hugging, No kissing etc " and immediately thought that if they really had such ideas then ALL Football should be locked down Totally.

I'm not against football, just for the saving of lives, whether it be yours, mine or anybody else's.

The powers that be have stated recently that players should not hug etc. to celebrate a goal and it seemed to last for a couple of games with some teams. Footballers must have short attention spans.

I think they were also told not to spit and there was some talk about referees booking players who transgressed. It seems that referees also have short memories but then again I'm sure you know what I think about referees. I've just seen Neil Warnock having a rant after one of his players was kicked in the eye and the ref did nowt.
