i certainly agree that, if MH uses two spaces then they should be paid for, if that is the regulation.

parking 'courtesy' applies to car drivers as well as owners of larger vehicles which can be boxed in, as you say.

BTW, im pretty sure that Concorde dont produce a twin axle model as they sit on Iveco or MAN underpinnings...but i get your drift....'twas a big 'unsmile

Bow to your superior knowledge, might have been 2 wheels on rear axle, but whatever, have a great weekend and stay safe laughing

Maybe some of you will have already joined this research group but if not please consider joining.  https://covid.joinzoe.com/  This is being run by some of the major London hospitals. This research is hopefully helping to get a better understanding of this new virus and they are particularly looking for, although not exclusively, the older generation.  We have been part of this for a few weeks now and it’s very easy to help: basically you just check in every day to say if you are well or not, and sometimes answer a couple of questions.  When I was unwell a few weeks ago I was invited for a COVID test - I didn’t have it!

“””As we emerge from lockdown, it is now more critical than ever that we are alert to emerging hotspots. The more people logging the earlier we will catch any new rise in infections in your area, so do please share the app with your friends and encourage them to spend a minute logging daily to help keep us all safe””

Thanks, heddlo, I wasn’t aware of this. As one of the “older generation “ I’ll certainly take a look. 🙂

I've already signed up to the Welsh one run by Cardiff Uni Hospital. Some of the questionnaires are interesting. Hope they can glean something from the replies.

I'ver seen some pretty rubbish parking by cars that were nose in along that stretch in Ruf's pic. They seem to think social distancing applies to the way they park. It's often the same at NT car parks where there are no markings. Mind you some of them can't even get it right when there are markings to guide them.

I see from today's international figures thespIan has had a 3 fold increase on the number of confirmed cases today from yesterday and a total of 668 deaths, a 13 fold I crease from the date before. Could is be the start of a new peak there after the relaxation of their lockdown measures, or just a 're-assessment similar to that done here a few weeks ago?

'470 acres of Wareham forest burnt down this week killing innumerable amounts of rare species of wildlife and plants involved 160 fire fighters from over 20 stations...I wonder what caused it another disposable barbeque perhaps?.'

I was right it seems as it looks like there was some kind of gathering or party-

'Following a fire investigation, which has been ongoing since Monday, we now believe the cause of this fire to be accidental, due to social activity in the forest. While we cannot pinpoint the exact cause, we have found evidence of multiple disposable barbecues, campfires and glass bottles.'

Oh well at least it will grow back...it will only take about 20 years and the wildlife may never recover frown

And now due to the winds its back up and burning, the 150 firefighters have returned to the area

Rather late in the day I've stumbled across the BBC news item regarding MHs and campers overnighting in Cornwall and Dorset and other locations. Nick Lomas gets a mention too.

This, according to the Worldometers website, was the reason for the big increase in recorded deaths for Spain...

1,787 new cases and 688 new deaths in Spain, today the Spanish Ministry of Health reported an additional 56 deaths in the last 24 hours, however, the Catalan authorities reported an additional 632 deaths that had previously occurred and were not assigned to dates, meaning that the cumulative total for deaths increased by 688 deaths. I see that Annemarie Plas, founder of clap for carers, has suggested that the next clap for carers on Thursday should be the last, so it seems it'll be back to the good old days of complaining about the NHS, suing it for all you can get and privatising it (as alleged by the Labour Party and others). Away with the rainbows, bring on the dark clouds. I always thought it was very hypocritical of a lot of people anyway.

I was going to say what I thought of the culprits but decided that there was no need.

    Nellie, from Johns Hopkins...

"Spanish Ministry of Health reported an additional 56 deaths in the last 24 hours, however, the Catalan authorities reported an additional 632 deaths that had previously occurred and were not assigned to dates, meaning that the cumulative total for deaths increased by 688 deaths."

these are a number of historic deaths occurring over time but had not been added in daily, now they've been added retrospectively as one chunk, which makes the graph look odd. certainly not an indicator of anything away from their recent trend.

both Spain and Italy are certainly moving in the right direction, with number now really low and consistent.

EDIT.....snap, Ann....sorry didnt see your post....

Nick Lomas said: "As a responsible members' club, we actively encourage members to adhere to rules and guidelines."

BTW, does he mean 'a club for responsible members' or 'a responsible club for members'?wink

Of course, hes right...the vast majority of MH owners arent heading for the beach and overnighting...

half a dozen VW Transporters look like a lot in a small place but its a tiny, tiny minority...

Lord knows what all these 'spies' would do without platforms like Twitter to publish their groundbreaking photos...

So glad i dont go anywhere near it, but it seems we cant have any reporting (even from the BBC) without scores of imbedded 'hashtags', '@' and whatever...

i realise this is the 'concerns' thread but how about someone posting something a bit more positive?

see the Spain/Italy graphs above...we will emerge from this if we dont succumb to an overdose of gloooooom...undecided

After the Cummings revelation all I have previously said seems true. We now know the real reason why the logo " stay at Home" was dropped in England.

I didn't have a problem with the change in logo, although I thought the green trim and unlimited travel allowance a little premature.

I know Mr Cummings did what he probably thought was best for his family at the time, but, if he broke the rules he should face the consequences, however, seeing what happened to Robert Jenrick  I very much doubt much will come of it.

No, but he's done himself and others no favours. Not a good example of that mantra 'we are all in this together'!☹️

As with many of those in positions of "authority?" it all depends on the "spin" of those who you can convince yell

Or as is far less  likely,  that they are Honest in their mistakes undecided
