Mrs Troutlegs here or as l am now “her in doors”
Just wanted to say to you all we must keep positive, do as we are told (you will all have heard that one a million times from your parents) and keep our sense of humour going, if we don’t do this we are all doomed!!
We can get through this together.....keep smiling folks

Devon too has just tightened up. Stopping cars on the way in and now asking for locals to report holidaymakers. The local CC will then send someone round to check, holidaymakers will be fined and sent home and the holiday home will be shut down. CC and our local MP say they are sorting it, finally!

To show it does not matter where you come from you can get it very wrong.
Just reported on local news and in daily mail that Cumbria police have stopped a motor home from Devon, a family of 6 from Leigh and two canoists from Yorkshire in Windermere and escorted them all back to the M6 and told them to go home.

Just digressing for a moment, I find all the statistics rather confusing. I've just read this on the BBC news website -
"England reports 765 new coronavirus deaths.
NHS England has recorded 765 new deaths in hospital from coronavirus. It said that 140 of them occurred yesterday, while 568 took place between 1 April and 7 April.
The remaining 57 deaths took place in March, including two on 19 March and one on 16 March."
Did anyone else realise that the numbers being quoted were cumulative? Have I missed something?

Moulesy. Hospitals report events at different times and I think at present it's only the hospital data going into the daily lists, not the cumulative data from outside hospitals. Some data only gets added several days after an event. etc.

Wasn’t there something about the figures reflecting registered deaths? The time taken to register a death can vary a lot and also explains why weekend figures are down when registrations aren't taking place.

Yes, I think that's correct. It just makes it less clear whether the daily figures are going up, down or stable. Maybe I'm expecting too much. Far too many deaths, obviously, but I think we're adult enough to be given a clearer idea.
Also, as one recovered patient said yesterday, let's put as much focus on the numbers recovering - it might just persuade the idiots still disobeying the lock down rules that they are there for a reason.

Mgivey daughter and son in law work in a prison , part of the prison was being , closed . Now its being filled with prisoners from all over the country with 19 . officers bribed with money to work there . Anyway , surely the amount of people transporting prisoners , is more than leaving them where they are ? Cornwall live 3 arrests after overturned caravan . This country and eire have given instructions to local councils to assist ?? travelers where they are parked at , so they dont move around .

Brilliant! It’s in Penzance and is used to test Warfarin patients. It only involves a finger prick test so the driver just extends his/her right hand into the kiosk. It’s rather like collecting a takeaway. 🙂

Just been out for the clap 😉. Good turnout again, with bells and fireworks! Only time we get to see folks and wave!
Neighbour doing that and watching mass, said priests able to give last rites - apparently our local one just done his 2nd which I was 'pleasantly' surprised at! Not meant as a religious statement in any way but an observation.

Evening
Last evening of our isolation so thought we'd join our colleagues for the clap. As we're at the bottom of the site I thought, I know I'll take a saucepan to whack so they'll hear me. It was only after the first hit I discovered the pan held tonight's pasta! I love the doghouse me!!

Hi Again
I'm think some people are beyond comprehension. The road outside site today has been like a motorway. Our colleagues went out for our weekly supplies and saw so many holidaymakers on route they lost count. Whether they're second home owners or whatever there's a large influx here in east Cornwall today. Do we swear at them, thank them or report them? There's far too many, the message hasn't worked!!

Report them is the message that's coming across but do feel free to swear at them as well.
Cornwall Council Environmental Services are responding to 800 reports concerning property letting, second home occupation and the like while D&C Police are doing their utmost to repel incomers travelling into the area and even watching for night time travellers. Unfortunately, as many of us have known for a long time, there aren’t enough police to cope. 🙁

That’s not funny, JV.😖
I’m alright Jack seems to be what you’re saying but bear in mind that they may bring a little present back with them to share with you. 😫

Report, report, report!
If you don't know where they're staying, note their registration numbers and report that - police and dvsa should liaise and they'll have a nasty shock waiting on their return home - preferably a fine for every day away!
Oh, and then swear at them too! 👍
