    Wow who would have thought that a little white peg could cause so much controversy laughing

    well I can honestly say that in the 22yrs that we have been members of the C& MC we have never had a problem,never been told to move or re-position and never come across a grumpy warden.I truly don’t know what all the fuss is about ,Surely in most cases it’s just common sense and thought for your neighbors on site.Well I’m just gonna finish washing the Motorhome in preparation for leaving On Wednesday for Abbey Wood for a week and then onto Moreton in Marsh.I will ring the sites ahead to check the white pegs are correctly positioned laughingcool

    No issue at all DD as long as the 6m clearances are observed.

     it's an overnight facility so the authority must have considered what guidelines to insist on for those that do sleep there?

    I am sure that they did consider the consequences to the council if they sold 'pitches' for overnight camping. Which is why they instead sell overnight parking. The Canterbury City Council (Off-Street Parking Places) Order 2016 whilst detailing places where motor caravans might park overnight specifically prohibits sleeping in any vehicle overnight on any of their car parks.

    Why ?  Appledore, Bideford, Holsworthy, Exmouth, Westward Ho, Torrington. and Clovelly  are some of the  parking areas in Devon where     overnights for motorhomes are allowed. Are they not Aires?

    Not if LVs are pitched/parked at the recomended 6mtr spacing,it doe mitigated the the damage,I know of three on cc sites one was before the pitch spacing was amended to what is now in place

    I don't know, et, are they "aires" or just car parks? But the point is that there surely aren't enough in the UK to warrant their own thread are there? I mean, wasn't that the reason for the "interesting petition" and the repeated demands for the club to provide them? undecided

    No they are not Aires. Most of the so called 'Aires' in the UK probably only have planning consent as car parks.

    Some Aires and Stellplatz are in car parks.

    Do they have the 3m fire break that European Campsites are required to provide as a minimum? I only ask out of curiosity.

    No, they don't have pegs, they don't have different colour pegs, they don't bang on endlessly about peg violation issues, measuring gaps, or rule breaking morons. 

    They have a stay here if you want to approach, it is up to the individual to decide if what they offer suits. They are chilled out and their rules, if they have any, comfortably fit on the back of a beermat.

    This why so many brits go there to experience the relaxed, non regimented, rule free environment. They love it, apparently it is what caravanning is about.
