How effective do you find removing foliage OP? It's what I would do, but OH never bothers. They're his babies so I don't interfere!

Had to cut my lunch time walk short today, it's started drizzling here in (usually) sunny Salford.

I can recommend Thule towbar mounted carriers. We have a two bike version, it tilts so that you can bootspace. Excellent quality, not cheap but does the no with little hassle.

Apologies, stubby fingers on above post!

Cathedral Welcoming duty this morning. Goodness it was busy! It started off with the end of term service for The Kings School (the Cathedral school) which is always lovely and then it was non stop visitors. Lots of people from Australia today and also Tasmania. I then did some shopping and because of roadworks they have stopped my bus service from using it's usual route which has a bus stop very near the Cathedral which meant I had to walk right across town to catch the bus. The roadworks are scheduled to last 6 months 😠
Glad you found Arbuthnott safe and well bakers2. Lovely photo and good use of your old wooden bread bin.
Monty Don recommends removing the foliage from tomato plants.😊

Milliehull I think if you're out and zbout a present sightseeing a grand old well built building is a very sensible decision. Sorry about your bus service, that's a long time for it to be out of action. Not funny if you have mobility issues. Then of course we are told to use public transport. Joined up thinking 😉.
Did my bits in town, met friend for cuppa and catch up then called our family taxi to collect me before doing a bit of food shopping in Tesco and Lidl, both very comfortable temperature wise with their brrrr brrr.
Now catching up on here, in the garden in full x hade, we have a bit of a breeze - making little impact 30c in the shade 🌞🌞🌞. Loving ready cooked chicken and bagged salad leaves catering today 😂.
Just had a black ladybird with 2 red spots land on chair arm - sinister looking must look it up!

Well they have shot themselves in foot as I shall be taking the car in future. After 4 hours on my feet in the cathedral I dont then want a long walk to the bus. I think the shops and the market that side of town will see a signifcant drop in trade.

I think you're right. Could they not put a temporary one in? No joined up thinking, as I think Huskydog said m20 closed first weekend of school holidays. 😲😲😲😲😲
Madness all madness.
Actually our council closed a pedestrain crossing for some work for several months. It was my direct line of walking to work. Taking the detour via a subway added a mile on my walk each way as I had to go in the opposite direction to get to the subway and then walk towards work. I was on my feet for most of the day so got OH to take me and pick me up. Not all the way eerytime because it of traffic but only added to the congestion. Luckily we had an nz trip whilst it was ongoing so sorted by my return.

Aaaaagh!! Just sitting in the cool having a quiet cuppa and Mrs M puts the tele on for "Tipping Point" and what's the first thing I see? An Argos advert for uniforms and backpacks just right for "back to school"!
Poor kids - some of the primary schools around here haven't even broken up yet!

I’ve had one of these(below) for 2yrs WN, sound & simple engineering. No issues, used to carry 2 MTB’s into the Forest. If it was to be replaced I’d get another one the same👍🏻😊

We have some very large wet spots falling from the sky 😲😲😲😲. Will it last? Just checked our forecast on Met check, no rain and lowest temperature overnight 21c. Maybe themy'll be wrong on both counts?
Edit well that was short lived. Didn't really wet anything perhaps I should have left cushions etc out 😤😢

It's been another scorching day, not the best day to have the boiler serviced, it was very hot with the heating turned up!!
I was glad I had to go to work.
So glad Arbuthnott is still around Bakers2
Sorry about your bus service Millie, a long walk isn't what you need after your stint in the Cathedral especially at the moment.
Hope you have some great trips in your new MH RubyTuesday.
