So glad you enjoyed your stay, Cardiganshire is beautiful with some quaint seaside villages, and stunning landscapes.  It's hard to decide where to stay and visit. Love Aberbran, and the volunteers are so nice.

Yes checked out on the Web.  Noted by many as harassing.

Cariadon it's not funny at all, must try the language trick. I would have fallen for domestic insurance as I used insurance method for Hotpoint oven repair before Christmas,  I expected a cost for fix got offered various insurance options and needed time to consider all options. Used to request a repair and pay for part and fitting 😲. Last payment taken but following month £8.74 taken, enquiring of Hotpoint I was told I  should have had paperwork to continue insuring. I hadn't so cancelled DD my end, can't be bothered to chase refund 😤. I would have been ripe for falling for your scam!

Good luck brue, at least you have an escape plan 😂😂.

I really feel sorry for anyone working outside in these temperatures. I hope productivity changes are accepted by employers 😉😉

Thanks Cariadon,  Cardiganshire  is like you say wonderful, we thought New Quay was beautiful as was Aberaeron with all the coloured cottages smile We will have to return though as there was still lots we wanted to see.

We enjoyed Aberbran site too, relaxing stop over for us both ways.  Brecon is an interesting town.

We have had several of those recently, we are not with BT either.

If it isn't them then it is the Green Deal people, or window/boiler/kitchen/roof scrappage, or my computer is broken, or I have been in a car accident.

Often they are almost unintelligible, in which case I just put the phone down.  When we had caller display, OH would report the numbers, but we no longer have that.

A lovely bright. warm day here.  This is our 46th consecutive day without rain.  It will be a shock to the system when we get some💦💦

Already taken the dogs down the beach 🏖 for a final swim before they leave and visit DIL family in Kent.  Once they’ve gone it will be a day of pottering.  Have a good day all and use plenty of sunscreen🌞

I don't think that's going to happen, Oneputt. The Met office and the NHS are concerned about the health risks of excessive heat for the vulnerable and elderly. There is no talk by them of any rain for the foreseeable future!

Rain here last night,Oneputt quite cool and pleasant to be out and about. Don't think the met office got it right for the west, as all the hot air is over the south east.

Yes, cariadon, they have said that too. The south-east will be the worst affected area. Other areas will be hot but not as hot as the south east. At the moment it's cool and pleasant here but it might be a different story later on  today and tomorrow.

suppose it's the time for those affected by the heat to holiday some where cold, where it's their winter, but stay away from Japan.

Another bright and sunny day, gloriously warm. 😃😃😃. Have to pop into town this morning for a few bits and transfer money into bank, for forward transmission to an interest account with the bank 😉, to ensure there's enough to pay for the new car 😃😃. Also meeting a friend for cuppa. We had 2 deliveries last evening - I wonder why it was after 9pm 😉😂, church magazine and local conservative summer newsletter. Was going to walk but think I'll get OH to drop me off and collect, I'll have heavy stuff when I've finished bird food. We're on our 3rd or 4th broods of Robin svarious tits 😆😆

Worried about Arbuthnott as I really shouldn't have been able to get my photo last evening, he should have disappeared really especially as I had to get OH and my phone 😲. Delighted to report food eaten and house empty 😃😃. Made my day.

Whatever you're doing enjoy, a nd take your time.

Have been thinking over breakfast what to do today, and decided that after having work done on the roof, to wash the external  walls and paint them before our next holiday, will need a few dry days, so hopefully by Thursday we will have finished. We only have the front to do as the back and sides is stone. Why the previous owners plastered the front I never know.

Harking back to unsolicited scam telephone calls - I often answer in French - though I can get caught out and confuse genuine callers.

Or  I say to wait and put them on hold with waiting music - something appropriate (usually "Arrogance, Ignorance and Greed" by Show of Hands).

Simple pleasures, but you've got to take them where you can.

Our house phone checks the numbers calling against permitted and diverts all others to answerphone. They rarely bother to speak to it.

The ones I don't like are the calls to the mobile, from another mobile. Especially when on tour we tend to answer those. Any  land lines show up where they are calling from, so can generally be ignored. I assume the scammers / cold callers use a mobile because of the fact it is more likely to be answered.

Off now, in transit Clumber to Chapel Lane. Decided to call in for a couple of days, on route to Malvern, to revisit a NT place we last visited when the beast from the east marooned us there. Then it was -15 with wind chill and too cold to look round the grounds. Should be warm enough this time.😂

I've never read 40 + posts so quickly. Thanks for the brevity.

Was a bit worried that the day may get away from me as I had to wait for Fedex to deliver a parcel. They delivered one on Thursday but sender got it wrong. Anyway they've just arrived so the day is mine.Yahoo.

Had some rain overnight and day is less clammy now. Off to tow ball centre in Chester, then this afternoon, will take in a walk.

Enjoy the rest of your day folks and remember "Let's be careful out there"
