Thanks HD. It went as well as these things do. At least the committal was between the rain showers. It stair-rodded down after we got to the wake.

Fridge door fell off. Fortunately I can't do anything about it because it's the one at home. MIL got neighbour to do temporary repair. Told her to buy small one from Argos or somewhere else that delivers if further problems. It's only 4 years old!
Just had a!mighty thunderstorm and awning mat now under water. Can't see pegs! Not surprised after 30° heat today. Cycled in morning but gave up afternoon to sitting around (don't do that well, maybe need some practice.) Didn't realise it was a regional holiday today (Corpus Christi) and hadn't shopped so had a "Raid the Cupboard and back of the fridge dinner".
Happy belated birthday TG.

Just emptied the dishwasher as my last daily task before having a look on her. Noticed it was full of water which should have drained, Just spent 15 minutes trying to sort it! The pump seems to be working as several short bursts of the program always engages the pump and the water did go down. Its a case of Manjana as I am not about to take it apart at midnight!!!

Our grand-daughter's tests results, after her stay in hospital 2 weeks ago, are finally back and all are clear. So we are very relieved.
I hope you get your dishwasher sorted out David. There is always something isn't there!

Milliehull that's great news about your grandaughter. Hopefully it was all just a blip, and she'll be fully fit very soon if she's not already. Half term may help 😉.
Moving our motorhome today, as new storage has electric and washing facility we are already aiming to give him a good sort out. We didn't get any rain yesterday looked like it several times so we're hoping for the same today.
Been reading posts so belated birthday greetings TG and congratulations on 38th wedding anniversary to 😲😲😲 sorry the name's gone!
Husky I'm glad your dad's funeral went well and that you all stayed dry for the outside bits Cyberyacht. Very emotional day for you both, don't forget to remember them however painful it is 😢.
Whatever you're up to today I hope it goes well. Lastly I hope no one has been affected by the flash flooding. Stay safe.
Edit the anniversary was Milothedog 😃 and on reading past posts i ommitted congratulations to Goldie on your purchase, wonderfully convenient and doing your generations part to expand the family business.

A relief for you all Millie and my best wishes to anyone else on here who might be going through things, good or bad.
Well after a lovely start to the day and an early coffee and wander round NT Barrington Court it is now raining stair rods, as forecast but late to arrive.

Looks as if we might need a replacement dishwasher. Having been down on my hands and knees to examine the filter housing and the point where the water goes through pump impeller. The impeller is rotating freely so unless its a blockage along the waste pipe at the very least it seems like a new pump. So we are back to motorhome washing up mode until we decide what to do!!! It is a Bosch dishwasher and has work well for eight trouble free years. Strangely we have never particularly liked the set of programs on the machine. Either a short 30 minute was or a long 143 minute waste. There is an eco setting but that only reducing the cycle by about 6 minutes. We will pay more attention to the programming on the next one!!!! Some of the new Bosch machines have a variable setting for program length now which looks promising.

More expense David! But why not, they're good work horses, our Bosch has been going for a few years too, but I expect they might be a bit more efficient by now. I just looked at ours, made in Turkey, fingers crossed it keeps going. Have never used all the programmes!

Take yourself off to the most boring site you can think of David. Then down-load hand books of all the possible choices and set to reading them ! It might scramble your collective brains but at least you will be resting your joints
. Or you could, perhaps, try to find a trained water vole to send down the pipes to clear any blockages
As for me I'm just taking 5 mins off having unpacked the latest order of bird food which was delivered this morning. Little beasts do seem to prefer the most expensive foods from the catalogue -- I'm beginning to wonder if there is an added " Eat Me, Eat Me" compound applied when the packing stage is started.
Hope all our 'Patients' are feeling better & taking a lightly boiled egg
.
P.S. The cricket seems to be going reasonably well for a change !

It's been a busy few days at work and home, but the van is now packed ready for a trip to Devon in the morning, only the bikes to put on the roof of the car. Forecast not looking to bad either.
Nice pictures Brue, looks an interesting place to visit.
We haven't had a dishwasher very long, only installed one when we put the new kitchen in a couple of years ago, now I don't think I want to go back to washing up at home.

Could be worth investigating the possibility of a blockage, before condemning the machine. Rule out the "easy things"first.
DD recently had a probkem with a drip from the condensate pipe where it exited the boiler. I looked at it, tightened up the joint, fitted a new washer, but still it dripped.
OH, who was observing all this suggested a blockage in the pipe, she may not know a lot about boilers, but she is very logical. We tried to trace where the pipe went, not easy in a fitted kitchen. Looked like there was no way to get at it.
Eventually we gave in and called our friendly boiler man to see what he could find, and to possibly open up the boiler as OH had suggested doing that and putting water down the pipe to see if it ran away.
Sure enough, he diagnosed a blocked pipe. The pipe runs into the sink plumbing and food bits in the dishwater had lodged at that joint over 5 years until it was completely blocked.
Luckily he was able to reach the end of the pipe, under the cupboards behind the plinth, and remove the blockage, then after much sighing about how it had been installed with the wrong joints and a fall in the wrong direction, he fixed it as far as possible and said to hope it lasted another 5 years.
8 years is not a great age for a decent dishwasher, if it is the pump, it may well be worth repairing, depending on the cost of course.

Thank you for kind comments. Yes it is a great relief. She is only 22 and has her life ahead of her. It has been a very worrying time. I would have changed places with her in a heartbeat if it had been possible.
Have a great weekend Helen. Whereabouts in Devon are you off to?
Lovely photos brue. It looks like you had the best of the day.
We are hoping to clean the caravan tomorrow ready for our trip to Norfolk in a week's time. Fingers crossed for the weather.

We've had a lovely afternoon with all the family together to celebrate our nephew's 40th birthday. Honestly, I ask you - 40 - where do all those years go? It's rare to get everyone together in the same place at the same time so quite a treat. Next time will be for another nephew's wedding in August. It really makes me feel very, very old!
Have a good time in Norfolk, millie and in Devon, Helen - where are you staying? We're off ouselves on Thursday to a CL in mid Wales, looking forward to it as we haven't been to that area for some years now.

After years of visiting S.Devon, we are having a change and staying near Bideford.
Millie, & Brue hope you both enjoy Nolfolk
Sounds like a great family "get together " Moulesy , hope you have a nice time in Wales, we are heading to Mid Wales Coast in July via Brecon.

Oh brue, we leave Ludham on the 17th to go in to Seacroft. I am gutted as it would have been so great to meet up with you. You say 'around' if you are going to be there any earlier than the 17th do please let me know.
1 -
Same here Millie, what a shame! We also tried to follow on to Seacroft but it was full so we'll have a couple of days at Incelboro before moving on, we are probably leap frogging your dates. Have a lovely time, you never know our paths might cross another time.
We will be probably be spotted as the couple with a dog in a pushchair. Our old terrier just about managed a few walks in the Lakes but we decided to make things easier for her and provide her with carriage transport. We saw someone on a site with something similar and thought it was a good idea, ebay provided the solution. Much cheaper than a baby buggy too but no good for Labradors or anything heavyweight but even tiddly terriers are quite heavy to carry in your arms for long!

Yes hopefully our paths will cross another time brue. It would have been great to meet up. We saw quite a few dogs in pushchairs when we were at Houghton Mill. What a great idea. It means your dog can be out and about with you enjoying life. Enjoy Norfolk. We have a week at Ludham and 10 days at Seacroft. Our SIL is doing the Norfolk 100k run on the 23rd June (silly man) so we will be supporting him by trying to following him around (by car!) with food and drink supplies.

We do!! Anyone willing?

In the early days of CT, M, we had an organised 'meet' at the NEC. I saw DSB, Bugs, Rowena and a couple from Peterborough area, who, to my eternal shame I cannot put a name to
!!
For years thereafter I kept trotting to the Club area but no CT area could be found. Still managed to meet Merve a time or three & TigerFish & his good lady once as well as Rowena's replacement. Thereafter a big fat zero !!

Millie, Brue if either of you want a mini meet up we will be home by the 6 June so would be happy to meet somewhere around Ludham.
been to the local pub with brother so not totally with it, but just off to see what Jupiter and Venus have to offer.
