Really hot here again today, we too could do with some rain for the  garden very soon.  Yesterday there was a good breeze, but totally still today.

DD had her first house viewer yesterday, went OK, but she thinks they are unlikely to offer as they were a family with 4 children and her garden is very small.

She is worrying as she has only had one viewer, but I think the lovely weather and the holiday weekend has meant many people are away.

Nice to see you're back outdoors again Brue. Can't beat the Lakes when the weather behaves.

Last day here today. Off to a site near Nuremburg tomorrow. 28° at present so seeking shade before taking awning down (only canopy so won't take long). Had a walk into Landshut this morning alongside the river. Found a market stall where the strawberries smelled of summer so bought some and sat on a bench in the lovely square eating them with a small beaker of ice cream from the parlour next door. Yum.

There's been a few flash floods in Bavaria as well as home but fortunately not around here. Enjoy the rest of your Bank Holiday.

Brue glad you've had a good break. I do hope you'e feeling better?

Currently 26c here, slight breeze. Walked local estate and rapidly picked a couple of bags of elderflower,  new steeping with lemons.😃. Also managed lunch out 😉 and M&S have kindly prepated our chinede dinner 😂😂. Just put towels into wash, bedding dry - hope I've not put kibosh on weather 😲. Sitting outside head in the shade catching up on here.  Plants in the beds are definitely wilting 😲😲 grass was damp, no rain overnight, so must be heavy dew.

KjellNN still very early days for viewing your daughters house, I agree with you unless you're desperate for a property in a certain area the weather and holiday could place looking on hold; it' also half term this week here.

Wherenext sounds ike you're having a ovely time. We'e had a couple of punnets of English strawberries from Lidl, very tasty 😃. But I bought Spanish cherries in our local market on Friday tasteless 😲

We are just home from a wonderful long weekend at Stonehaven Club site. This was an area we have never visited before so it was our first time at this site. We were impressed the site is in a good location from where we were able to visit Aberdeen as well as Balmoral which was great well worth the enterance fee. We took a walk in to Stonehaven on Friday night and had a drink from one of the of the pubs over looking the harbour. Its certainly an area we plan on visiting again and the weather was great the whole weekend which is unusual in Scotland. We had an uneventful 4 hour tow home today there were plenty of caravans out on the road but luckily no hold ups. It is 25 degrees here at home. Hope everyone else is enjoying themselves

Stonehaven town is a great location for visiting Aberdeenshire, need to sort out and use the new site.  We did the tourist thing in Coburg today despite  the 31C temperature.  Called into Lidls for shopping on the way back to the van.  Brought a water melon as they are so refreshing.  Had a dip in the swimming pond which certainly cooled us down.

Yes Stonehaven itself was nicw well worth the journey. Oh forgot t to mention we got a mention on Radio 2 on the way home as we text in to Martin Roberts (a fellow caravanner)  and he read it out

Just sat down outside to eat dinner when an almighty scream came from the van across the way from us, apparently a little girl had burnt herself on a table top BBQ.  Got her under a tap till first response and now ambulance in attendance.  Fingers crossed all ok.

Well done Oneputt.  Fingers crossed it won't be too bad. Do keep us posted if you can. Accidents happen SO easily.

My OH always seem to 'attract' things like this. At a cafe in NZ a lad on nearby table had 'a turn' mates left him except one, he and staff didn' know what to do 😲. Epileptic fit, OH got him into recovery position with great difficulty, bystanders thought he should sit up! We got our lunch for free 😃 cafe owners well impressed but not one first aid trained and staff didn't know cafe address when calling for Ambo, ambulance, the kiwis shorten every word! Had one of his mates said he was Epileptic it would have saved the Ambo 'donation', nothing free! Turned out he was a talented artist who had been to the cafe several times before and was exhibiting in the uni.

Lovely to see you back brue and so glad you can now go outside again. It sounds as though you had a lovely trip.

Well done OP on getting the little girl under the cold water tap immediately.  I do hope she will be OK.  Keep us posted if you can.

The weather here today started off grey and misty but the sun came out at lunchtime.  We have had a lovely family BBQ at eldest son and DIL's this afternoon with daughter and SIL as well. The four grandchildren loved the hot tub and we loved sitting , relaxing and watching them enjoying themselves in the glorious weather. Despite the dire weather warnings we have had really lovely weather over the weekend.

Welcome back Brue, glad your feeling better  and enjoyed your break.

Still not quite sure how the little girl burnt herself but seem to think she pulled a pot of boiling water of the BBQ.  The ambulance treated her then drove her outside the camp where a helicopter airlifted her to hospital.

What a beautiful evening. Back door still wide open, very warm and still but not humid, full moon through hazy cloud, blackbird singing from the top of a tree all the small bird activity stopped. More like a balmy August evening. Shame spring watch was one 😉 stopped me sitting out there.

Just put out the hedgehog food, we still have at least one who leaves a calling card 😃

Did you see Jupiter last night B2, it was to the right of the moon in about the 2 o’clock position.

Darn it no I didn't see Jupiter 😔, Didn't really look at the sky, moon was behind thin cloud and rather beautiful but between tall trees as I looked.

Just had a very short shower, big drops but not many. Need the rain but I have to walk into town so would prefer it not until after I'm done 😉. I'm happy to walk in the rain with suitable clothing but shopping in it is a pain!

Grey, breezy and chilly today. No sitting in the  garden this evening 😕. I was on welcoming duty at the Cathedral this morning. Very busy as it is half term and we have children's activities taking place. We then had 2 of the grandchildren this afternoon. We took them to the town park to run off some energy and treat them to a drink and some cake but  found the  cafe in the park closed😠. Why when it is half term and the park was busy?! So we then had a quick trip into town and took them to the Cathedral cafe - smiles all round. I am now exhausted 🍷

Early start this morning,  as we travelled home from a wonderful break at a lovely CL in the Peak District,  managed to do lots as the weather was very good, visited NT Hardwick Hall and  Longshaw  Also Met up with our son and his girlfriend and spent the day walking along the valley from Monsal Head.

Moulesy,  we kept your seat warm at The Packhorse for lunch. winklaughing

This afternoon I was back at work, but it's a short week smile

Brue & Bakers2 glad you both had good breaks, Millie, very pleased your Grand daughter is feeling better.

    Great pic Goldie.

Another scorcher here today at 31C, still 20C here with thunder rumbling around us for nearly 3 hours, no rain yet.⚡️

Did more touristy bits today including a visit to Callenberg Castle.  A bit disappointed as the main display of Victoria and Albert are by guided walks on a Sunday only.

Filled up with diesel at £1.10/ltr and returned to camp for a swim in the pond along with the newts, pond skaters, boatman etc., very refreshing 🐠🦆🦎

Tomorrow (Wednesday) will be a difficult day for our family,as it is my Dads funeral. But we don't see it as a day to be morbid, but a day to celebrate his life ,yes ,there will be some tears but also some laughter.

To all of you that still have a Dad , give them a big hug next time you see them ......................

What a difference a day makes?!

Met a friend in town for her birthday cuppa and catch up, dropped my new very expensive 😲 sandals into Timpsons, other repairers are probably available, to have some additional fastening attached to the ankle strap as I obviously have narrower, than the fit, ankles 😲. If only that applied to the rest of my body 😂😂. My latest sweatshirt needs the arms shortened by 3 inches 😲 why do they think larger proportioned ladies have very long arms? I'll shortened those myself! Returned 3 pairs, 2 different styles, of M&S jeans, always bought regular length but bought short this time as I could see regular looked long still too long and didn't like the fit of any of them 😤😭😤😭. Got caught in terrific downpour, so phoned OH for taxi service 😉 rather than walk home as umbre broke 😢. Had to drive across town to go to get my haircut soon after lunch, usual 10 minute drive took 25 minutes due to localised flooding, mainly caused by blocked drains 😤. Hastily popped in some bedding plants, deluge hadn't pentitrated very far down, hopefully more rain overnight as forecast to settle them in. Very chilly evening even OH has put on sweatshirt!
