@milliehull I’m afraid ours is more than likely to be asleep in his chariot, but he is 15, and on gabapentin, enough to knock an elephant off its feet🤣 He usually wakes up if anyone wants to say hello. I think we are definitely going to try and get down next week, whizzdown A1 to Peterborough, a look around Cathedral/exhibition, and then try and fit in Easton Walled Garden for a couple of hours on way back up. Going to do a bit of reading about the knitting before we head down.
Managed a couple of sessions on garden today, either side of visiting Mum. Have got some lovely birthday presents, and some vouchers/cash to to spend. OH has been browsing Matthewson’s (Bangers and Cash) catalogue. Apparently, we need a Porsche Boxster next. And possibly a longer drive…………..🤣

Any chance it works it works on Nonagenarians? MiL has more energy than she needs at present!🤣
Boiler installed and seems to be working fine. Fingers Crossed. When you retire the idea is to have more free time so why is our calendar full of appointments and not just for health? And we don't have grandchildren so I don't know how those that do, manage.🤷♂️

It's been a long while since we visited there, grand photos, @DSB
Thanks for the information @milliehull we might be close enough to call in and view the display.
Happy birthday @Takethedogalong hope you had/have a lovely day.
Good to read that your boiler guys were early, rather than late, @Wherenext have they completed the work?

Been up to Byland Abbey today. It's worth a visit.... it's just a pity that the old pub across the road, taken over by English Heritage as a 'cafe' was not open today when we visited. I reckon it's probably a busy place in the summer.... The tiles were still covered over from the winter protection - would love to see them, perhaps in the summer. As the 'cafe' was closed, instead, we went on into Helmsley to the cafe at the walled garden....

We moved on down to near Louth today, with an easy drive in fine weather. After being the only unit on our previous CL we now have 3 others here. After lunchvwechad a walk along to the village Church that being The Church of All Saints, which has a 15th C tower but the church was rebuilt in 1843. It has a very impressive ceiling and organ in the nave, with words from the Tae Deum.
And especially for @Wherenext
