Predictive text or typo, who can tell? Perhaps my laptop is picking up on sentiment for I have referred to this site as a 'pail of excrement' recently.

Nice spin, but if you read my posts that's not what I said. Please stop mis-quoting me.

And Mods are not required to "toe the line" whatever that means? - however as members of the CC we too are allowed to express our views.

My views are clearly expressed above - and not as spun by you.

As confirmed by the Community Manager - issues pointed out by members have been noted.

My point as above was that to suggest rolling back to the previous forum on the basis of comments by 26 members is not really a tenable position.

I'm sure the Club will instead continue to develop the new website for the majority of members, taking into account the comments that have been made.

    Cheers

Do people really want to go back to the endless "blank page", "error on page" etc?

    I don't.

OK, the new forum isn't perfect, what is, but I think it's better than the previous version.

    😊😊😊

Great new forum, took a while to learn the new navigation and love the soft colours, think matt instead of gloss. There are a few problem areas that I'm sure will be sorted over time, but I do wonder why the same people who criticised the old one vehemently would want it back, when this one is such fun smile

Perhaps it's the loss of the star system and their 'status' is now not on show to all and sundry.

I just 'liked' my post, because I can.

tw, its called 'testing' which is what the CT members are carrying out on behalf of CC on the live version.....

if it had been tested properly, prior to release, AD could not have raised it as an issue.

Bugs, im aftraid that your estimate of the numbers of folk reporting issues may be small in total, but its far larger than the total testing team it would seem....and how is a member supposed to know if an issue has already been reported? where is the definitive list of captured issues (on an updated sticky at the top of a thread perhaps?) so that members can check for themselves, so as to avoid duplication?

Dianne, you actually think the forum has improved since implementation? in which areas? certainly, little in the navigation areas has changed.

My posts have said the same thing consistently - my view.

    And my view hasn't changed.

    - moving back to the old forum because of comments by 26 members cannot reasonably be justified

    - as confirmed by the Community Manager, comments made by members are being taken into account as the new website is improved (I never said members views were being ignored, as implied by you)

If you think I have "spun" anything, feel free to point it out.

    Cheers

Sorry Kennine - that's not what is being suggested in this discussion.

Please read the OP and subsequent posts - they will help you to understand.

It is every forum member's duty to feedback to those who are running a forum when faults and glitches occur.

Im surprised you disagree with members helping the forum management in their endeavours.

Sorry but I too seem to be missing the spell checker, on my tablet anyway.  It has taken me ages tk write this having to keep reading rereading and rereading everything and repeated rereadings.  my problem is that when I'm reading it the eyes reads wht it is supposed to say rather than what it actually is, so typos are often missed, wh.  hich is quite embarrassing for me.  Havingg typos highlighted in some way is a great help in recognising them, even if it argued that an 's' should be a 'z' lol

Not sure if its a new addition but I do like how the original first post is now on every page if replies so one can check what the original post was without having to go back to the very beginning before replying.

However, on the negative side I do miss the box at the side which gave a list of all of our recent posts, which I found navigating to see if there have been any replies to our posts a great help, especially if Ken posts a question and forgets to let me know so I can check for replies.

With a site with as many subscribers as this is would be impossible to please everyone , and thejse of professional checkers would in ur extra costs, thus possibly giving the knocked on effect of causing membership fees to be increased possibiliy.  Volunteer beta tezters would be a possible solution, especially if they also included the utilising of numerous browsers/devices/platcormz

Sorry for any typos I've checked through it several times but am bound to have missed some.

    Lorn

I'd be surprised too - if I'd actually said or done any of that - in any of my posts.

    But clearly I haven't!
