Arrived at Erromardie 13.30 in full sunshine 23c ๐Ÿ˜Š, phoned yesterday to make sure they had room.  They kept us a great pitch, it's 50 feet from the ocean ๐Ÿ˜Š will sleep tonight to the sound of crashing waves on the beach.

WN, AD, will check out Larroulette while we are here, be nice to see it before our return journey in November.

Weather set fair for the next 5 or 6 days so will probably stay until mid week here.  Still got plenty of time so why not.

The road round Bordeaux was manic today, they are trialling all HGVs held to the inside lane @ 80 km, one very long convoy.

AD, our Atmb toll tag has stopped working unless I hold it out the side window and wave it at the scanner. OH is thinking it might need a new battery, I think yours is about the same age have you had any issues with it at all ?

Went down to West Bay in Dorset this morning, unfortunately some access is still blocked due to sea defence work, then spotted four large coaches disgorging passengers (it felt a bit like some parts of the NC500 but no motorbike convoys wink) Realised they were heading for the cafes so no chance of a quick coffee. We moved on to Hive Beach and had a coffee there, watching the sea pounding the beach. Lots of walkers "doing" the coast path so plenty of room in the cafรฉ.

Good to hear all the holidays are going well! smile

Another fine day, with just the odd drizzly shower, and another good walk, this time along parts of the old mineral tramways and some of the cycle tracks. Just had a heavy shower and it's going a bit cooler.

We had a email from Sanef saying the battery was low and needed replacing but they just sent us a new complete fob much smaller than the old one, our was not working very well about 18 months ago hence getting the email, their is no way for replacement battery just a complete fob and ours is on all the time. Hope this helps TG and enjoy the rest of your holiday and AD.

Much cooler now and very cloudy again today not used to this after months of clear skies, but the garden has had a good soak and all water butts full.

Thanks Redkite, OH had a good look at it but as you say no way to change a battery. He has sent a message to Atmb for advice. As we are going into Spain next its no big problem,  will just use CC on the way back up if needed.

We did wonder if it was something in the windscreen that was preventing it from working didn't make any difference where I held it nothing happened, as soon as I  opened the side window though it bliped.

Beautiful day here already 24c, think its going to get warmer though. Bit of shopping done ready for the weekend. Might take a run over the border tomorrow for a look around, think it will get very busy here with the weather being so good. Its a big draw this beach for the young and surfers, lots of folk about.

Have a good weekend folks whatever you are doing.

    TG

If ATMB have offices at any of the toll booths they might be able to help you with your tag. Like Redkite we were contacted by SANEF when they considered the battery in the tag was at the end of its life. They just sent us a new tag and we had to return the old one.

TG re your tag not working inside the vehicle a friend of ours has a renault van conversion and it will not work inside his vehicle only outside he has a coating on the window which he did not know about until OH had a look at it so yours maybe the same problem.

It has got warmer today but now clouding over again upto 29C on Sunday and drier next week so outside chores to be done then.

Just had a lovely ladies lunch with two friends in local town very nice no wine as I was driving back, will have to cook something for OH's tea tonight he has been pressure washing the path outside the house not be able to do all summer due to water restrictions but as the rain has filled all the water butts he has used one of them, and the garden looking better for the rain.

Spotted an eastbound Concorde Charisma late yesterday morning eastbound from Southampton on the M27. Don't know if it was "Our Triky"

Some windscreens do have a coating that prevents transmission. In the instructions that came with our tag it says to mount it on the stippled area around the mirror, as that area is free of any coating. Although we've a big area of stippling in the Xtrail where it worked fine, the MH doesn't have any, although still worked OK alongside the mirror.

I did wonder why we have a mirror in a MH with no rear window. Although it was required to hang the ferry tag on, so of some use.๐Ÿ˜‚

Thanks DD. We will be passing that way in about a week, also on route to Cherbourg. From OP's photos looks worth a visit. I notice there is also a new Aire, that we have a card for, if the free one should be full.

Great start to the day blue skies and warm did an aldi shop ,got home and things in this area have really gone down hill as a large tribe of travellers has invaded one of the newly flayed meadows, and they have already been knocking on doors telling residents the trees/hedges are in need of "work?" and house gutters and roof are in need of "urgent" repairsyell

JVB Apparently there is a large contingent of French travellers camping near Orton Mere station at Ferry Meadows. So they are now coming from 'over there' ๐Ÿฅบ

What a week of weather we've had! I've been pretty much drenched twice every morning, first walking Lady, then doing my Cinnamon Trust dog walk! And now the sun decides to come out ! yell

Just about to start packing for our holiday next week in Portugal (well, strictly speaking Mrs M is about to start repacking my suitcase. ) We fly to Lisbon on Sunday morning for a 3 night stay then up to Oporto to start a 7 night river cruise on the Douro - first time we've done a river cruise so looking forward to it - and, hopefully it'll be dry and warm!  smile

It was cunningly arranged so that I only have to miss one Rovers match! (Well there might have been a trip to Bury, but that's another story) - not sure how to get "Final Score" "over there "! laughing

Maybe its because they  have found out that  they can can do what they want with impunity "over here" where at home the authorities "get it sorted" quickly

AD, just catching you on here. When you mentioned future flights to Cuba the other day I remembered my sister and BIL flew via London to Spain and then to Cuba from Spain. Maybe you'll still get your holiday in future. smile

OH and I are still in shock when someone not seen for 43 years turned up on our doorstep! Mixed feelings too but the visitor went away happy, we think? Strange isn't it when these things happen.

Busy and not entirely successful day today.  Went to the dentist this morning only to find the appointment was for yesterday.  ๐Ÿ˜ฉ Went to a tuning centre this afternoon and arrange for the car to be remapped again to disable the ERG.

Best part of the day picking up the grandtwins from school.

All those travelling, lucky people weโ€™ve got withdrawal symptoms already so going to have a long weekend next weekend.

whatever you get up to have a great weekend ๐ŸŒž

Thanks to DK, RK, steve abd trellis for all your suggestions.

Yes we do have a heated windscreen, not sure if the screen is coated as well, OH is going to give it a go in the stippled area as suggested by steve. If all else fails I'll just keep waving it out the window as we approach laughing or resort to CC.

Its been a lovely afternoon and evening, sun setting as I type. We've not done a lot this afternoon just sat and read for a bit.

Went for a walk over to the sea, takes all of 2 mins. Tide coming in and so was the rollers, some of the folk sat on the beech didn't move fast enough and got a soaking. Site almost full as are the other 2 close by (we went looking) we like the one we are on, 16โ‚ฌ a night, toilet seat and paper provided laughing and free wifi what's not to like.

Slept really well last night lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves. OH said he thought he was on a ship at one point during the night.laughing

AD, glad you had a good drive up to Bled, might be doing that trip ourselves next spring.

Had an easy drive from one CL to another in North West Norfolk. After setting up and lunch we headed out to Titchwell reserve for a few rewarding hours.

Then called in at Erics Fish and Chip restaurant/takeaway next to Drove Orchard Farm shop between Thornham and Holme for some of the best F&C we've had for quite a while. GF as well. Not cheap, think London prices, but worth it. They have another establishment in Holt and one in St.Ives (Cambs) so we might get 2 more visits in before getting home!smile

Called in at Hunstanton for some fuel before finally getting back to a well tended CL. Feels packed as there are 2 units on this one.
