All the best for your onward journey TG, good that you were able to rebook your flight etc.
B2, pleased to hear your OH has been signed off and you've sorted a new help in the garden. Hope you enjoy Downtown, a friend said it was good and totally forgettable!
We came back from shopping today and a band of apple pickers were in our garden, the cider apples go to a good home locally. Should be enough left for us if we can summon up the energy!
ABM it was lovely up at Inverewe, I miss it! Not sure whether to risk a story contribution with phone photos, they don't always look too good.

Shouldn't complain too much as its the first 'day' that we've had rain like this. We've had some overnight and a few quick showers but today its just wet, wet, wet.
I've looked at Larrouleta and remembered you saying you use it, is it possible to cycle out from there or are the roads not good being near the motorway. We like to cycle along the coast etc if possible.

Left Durtal this morning and arrived at Camping de la Route d'Or on the banks of the Loir ( no 'e') at La Fleche mid morning. Booked in, set up on pitch, had coffee and still had time to walk over the bridge to the market. Cath bought herself yet another 5โฌ watch to add to her collection.

Thanks brue, we got a very good price with TC on the original booking (now we know why) the new price is ยฃ126 more but looking back at previous years invoices not that different to what we have been paying so can't complain. At least we know we still will have the holiday unlike so many other's who have missed out.

We stopped there a couple of years ago. Nice site with easy access to the town. Market day was excellent. Lovely walks along the river and round the lakes.
Now moved on, starting our journey north.โน๏ธ Although we've another two weeks before our ferry.๐ Currently at a small Aire (16 vans) close to Ruoms in the Ardeche. The Aire is just a short walk from the river, with good walking paths into Ruoms itself. The Aire is right outside and linked to a large campsite, closed for the season on 15/9, as have the majority in this area. Seems strange, the weather is still good here and plenty of water in the river. Next stop probably Le Puy en Velay.

Just returned from a walking in the Lake District staying in the ever popular CCC site at Keswick, whilst returning south stopped off at a motorway service station on the M6 only to see Malcolm Metah in the bay 2 down.
Still has his Mitsubushi.

you spotted the deliberate mistake ๐๐
We did go to see Downton. Very much enjoyed it but why oh WHY do they have to have the sound soooooooo loud? Remember why we dont use our local Odeon, I used a gift card given for my birthday back in February ๐. Even with improvised earplugs, thank goodness for a supply of tissues, it was LOUD. OH didnt seem to think so ๐ฑ no wonder we cant agree on TV volume!
Must have been sunny whilst we were out the conservatory was really cosy and bits in there nicely dried.
Safe journeys to all those on the move.
Be interested to hear news of Malcolm and his wife. The Lakes are certainly along way from his delivery area ๐

TG - Agree with AD about Larouletta. We've cycled from the site to the Fort so not too bad.
Woke up to more rain (and cuddles) this morning but it soon abated and we enjoyed a pleasant visit to the nature reserve at Gibraltar Point for a decent walk and some relaxation in pleasant sunshine. Just got back to the car and the heavens opened again!
CL still only has us on it.

We've had a good day weather wise, after rain through the night, with only the odd spot of drizzle late on. After another round of washing we did a figure of 8 walk from the site though part of the Forest, along part of the Gloucestershire Way nearly to Cannop Ponds through Nagshead RSPB reserve. Managed an hour or so sat outside in the afternoon sun.

OH chuckling at parliament so he's amused..........
I've been watching some of it too. The only thing missing is a crocodile and a string of sausages.

Couple of snaps of Villandry taken nearly 10 years ago. Think this is my favourite chateaux so need to return one day soon

Some household chores this morning then off to visit Frampton Marsh RSPB reserve. Had a lovely walk around the reserve, our first visit to it but hopefully not our last. Spotted a new bird for us. Only taken nearly 40 years to see it!
Percy Verance, as the old Not the 9 o'clock News show once said.
Off tomorrow.
