David you really have to undertand rudeness, saying what I think of your site is not being rude, I am not criticising the composition, technical or artistic aspects of your photos merely the fact that to me it looks like barren pitches (ie scorched earth) and a car park as they are so close together. That is not rude, no doubt to you it is perfection but not to me. Being rude is saying my posts are the usual boring diarltribe as you posted yesyetday (I assume you mean diatribe btw?).
Now I am not spoiling this thread by any more engagement with you like this. Like HD said I'm not playing.

Had a great afternoon over in Blanchland past Consett (where there was a Eldiss open day). Lovely cream tea there and a walk along the river.

Had a long slow walk along the prom at St Jean de Monts this morning. Stopped for an espresso along the way. Lots of people out and about enjoying the last of the summer sun: rain forecast for tomorrow. We're heading to Nantes for a city visit.
Enjoy the rest of your time , Deleted User User, down there in istria. We loved Croatia in September but it's too far for us now. le Cote Atlantique is lovely at this time of the year.

Beautiful day here in East Norfolk. Didn't have to drive a couple of thousand miles for Sun, Sea and Sand, just a 10 minute stroll from the house

Coming to the end of our northern trip, nice day with son and family, another meal out, seeing family isn't cheap! Good to read about all your various trips too, all the best for those about to go away. Long journey home for us tomorrow, nice things like dental and doctor's appointments beckon!

Another fine warm day with just enough of a breeze to keep us from getting too hot while out walking. Quiet lanes on the way out, where we picked a few pounds of damsons, then back along part of the Severn Way. Apart from the damsons I also came back with a 8m Stanley Tape rule, in perfect working order, which was lying under foliage by the road side. I discovered it while clearing away to a damson tree.

Sadly we leave for home tomorrow. We have had such a lovely week here at Sandringham C&MC site. We love Norfolk. The weather has been glorious. Hard to believe it is nearly the end of September, it has been like mid summer.

Sorry we missed you DK we did actually try to get in here on Thursday night but it was showing full so just went to Strathclyde Park Club site for the night leaving us with just a 2 hour drive over here yesterday. We went to the Grace Darling museum today which was excellent free entry and very informative with nice helpful staff well worth a visit for anyone in the area. After that we went along the coast and had a walk around Seahouses which as always was nice. SWMBO was watching Strictly come dancing earlier so I took a walk down to the Red Lion for a couple of pints.
Glad you had a nice time away Millie and good luck for OHs appointments.

Lovely weather here today, yesterday was very warm and sunny too but today there was a nice breeze so much more pleasant.
We had a very good outing to Ayr to meet up with former work colleagues. Picked up my former secretary in Glasgow as she does not drive, then our oldest pensioner who now lives in Ayr, and met the others at the lunch venue. Good meal and plenty of time to chat.

It was a glorious sunny day yesterday - just perfect for A Golden Wedding party. My husband's younger (by 2 minutes) brother. It was similar weather 50 years ago when I foolishly wore a heavy tweed three piece suit (because I had made it). And coordinating accessories of course!

Some mixed weather, but sounds like everyone is having a good time. After a few lovely days, it’s a bit damp here today as well, light drizzle. We are watching Cycling, brand new event Mixed Team Time Trial, GB doing very well at the moment, still in the lead. Shame it’s a bit damp for racing as last week was lovely, but they are coping well, no one gone down yet thankfully. Big crowds out in Harrogate.

Another lovely day in East Norfolk. Had another walk down the beach, plenty of people about enjoying the sunshine 🌞Plenty of industrial activity as well in the docks, loading wind turbine towers for installation out at sea. Also since we we’ve been away another gas platform and it’s jackets have been brought onshore for demolition and recycling.

Just got back from three weeks away taking in York, Edinburgh, Killen, Forfar, Berwick upon Tweed and Boroughbridge. Weather has been colder than I anticipated with a few dull rather than wet days. Worse rain was when we left the M1 at junction 15 today! Edinburgh and Killen we have been to before although Killen must have been 20 plus years ago. All the other sites were new to us. We didn't book any of the sites until about two weeks before departure but they all appeared full when we arrived so perhaps we were lucky.

that's why we are over here David
We had a bit of rain overnight but everything dry again when we got up. Bit fresher today after the rain, still managed to get out for a cycle ride.
Washed both car and caravan this morning, just plain water but they look better for it.
Sat here in the caravan and can hear the baby next door laughing, I've never heard such a happy baby. We've been here 4 days, not heard her cry once, she is about 6months old and vocalises/cuckles all the time shes awake. Young Dutch couple.
Packed up the car ready for the morning off a bit further south.
Wonder if we will encounter the forecast rain, DD&RK can you keep it or send it north on its way please

Woke up this morning to sun and blue skies so we spent the morning on site relaxing outside with the morning papers. Took a drive out in the afternoon to Lindisfarne one of our favourite places to visit it was even warm enough to have a pint outside in the beer garden of the Crown and Anchor who would have thought that in September. Now back at the van a bit cooler and greyer but we are cooking dinner out on the Cadac maybe the last time using it this year so will take the opportunity while it is here. Sounds like everyone else is enjoying themselves too

Francis, we passed Lindisfarne on the way to Old Hartley (final two nights of our tour.) The weather and tide looked perfect for a visit but we didn't have time. Glad you enjoyed your drive out there.
Had an eight hour drive home today, thwarted by a road closures and some heavy rain and hail in places. Nice evening at home so unloaded the van in the dry. We travelled for two weeks via Hereford, Keswick, Blair Castle (nice site haven't tried it before but have visited the castle etc.) Onto Poolewe, back to Pitlochry then Old Hartley. Two theatre visits thrown in so a good mixed trip. Going to get some zzzz'z now, slightly tired, ha ha.

We were going home today, but woke up to another clear blue sky and it got really warm by mid morning also as the B.O.B airshow is on at Duxford decided to stay another night, because it would be a nightmare traversing the A 505 on our route home

Careful you don't have a relapse Brue.
Feared the worst whilst listening to the rain pelting against the bedroom window at 6 this morning. Going to get wet setting off I thought, but a few hours later the rain had blown through. Still overcast but who cared? Not I.
Had a pleasant journey across country to our night halt just outside Grantham. Rain arrived by 4 pm but we ended up with a beautiful red sky.
Safe journey to those en route, happy times for those away and good luck to everyone else.

Glad you are safely home brue. Sounds as though you had a great trip.
Have a wonderful time WN and take care of yourself.
We are also back home after a great trip to Norfolk with fantastic weather. It was glorious weather as we set off but raining as we arrived home. At least the garden is glad of it.

Arrived at Camping de Nantes in time to book in before reception closed for lunch at 12.30. Took the tram down to isle de nantes, walked along the embankment, and watched the mechanical elephant going for a walk. MacD for lunch tomorrow and visit the Chateau and cathedral before our 24 hour tram ticket expires!

We too had rain over night and then again about noon. However I managed to fit in a couple of walks in the dry, the second one between watching the Ireland/Scotland match and the first half of the England game. We then went out for a pleasant lunch with son and DIL, who live down this way. Came back to the van in dry weather, and then out for another walk with Flyte.
Glad to hear that those that have headed home have done so safely, and hope that those that are still out and about have good trips.

The week before we left on the trip it was 32 degrees in MK, I think that was the reason for the shock, not that we expected it to anywhere near as warm as that! . There were days when it hardly got up to 15 degrees. It would be nice to be over there but it's a bit complicated with insurance and other things at the moment, perhaps next year.
