There are a lot of drugs going awol at the moment WN. We have encountered it with prescriptions for our dog, one of the regular meds he needs, not a single tablet available in the country. Our concerned vet has done lots of research, and we are now giving him the human equivalent, which is just a tiny bit different. If he was a small dog, the difference would make it dangerous, but as he is a big hefty lad, it’s safe. Vets have been warning about such issues for a long time, but few were listening with any intent. A certain date is concentrating the mind now though......

Anyone else noticed a distinct shortage of Paracetamol? The MiL uses them regularly to help with her arthritis but everywhere we go there is either none on the shelves or just a packet or so left. Very strange as we've tried Tesco, Sainsbury, Aldi and Pharmacy. Total packets bought just 3.
I do sometimes see almost empty shelves, especially for the basic (and cheapest) version. I am a regular taker of Paracetamol so I tend to always buy a couple of boxes regardless of my immediate need. Perhaps I am causing the shortage!!! I do the same with Ibuprofen. Technically the likes of supermarkets are restricted to selling two packs or 32 tablets but a chemist is able to sell more than that but expect questions! Perhaps people are stockpiling for another event!!!

Yes we were, did you hear the brakes

4 attempts, flipping eck with 180 mile round trip each time we'd be cheaper to pay for the flipping things ourselves
OH says he understood from the dealer that the pads they fitted were from the original supplier
Another lovely day here, did a bit of washing this morning all dry by lunchtime. Nice 9 mile cycle ride this afternoon
about 27c today with less wind.0 -
Where are you staying at Francis?
Talking to the caravan dealers the other day they did say that there is a possibility that the new owner of Lunar may be offering a limited warranty on the former Lunar stock depending on the age of the unit. If so it will be heartening news for recent Lunar buyers. Not confirmed yet but there may be hope yet.
Enjoy your weekend.

Another beautiful day. Easy tow down to new CL, which is full tonight. Spotted a flash of iridescent blue, a Kingfisher, on our last walk by the canal before setting off this morning.Made my day.

scorched earth car park to me

I suppose one man's car park is another's perfect site, I can accept that

Lovely sunny day here in Berwick but quite breezy. The site was full last night and think it’s to be the same tonight. I was up earlier this morning and went a cycle along the coast the water is very rough saw a couple attempting to leave Berwick harbour in a small boat absolutely madness they were getting thrown around and covered by the waves eventually they gave up and came back at one point I thought the boat had been rolled over. Back at the van now having a cup of coffee while SWMBO decides where she wants to go today.

If you want a little stroll, and some history, can highly recommend a drive via Ford, Etal (has a Castle), Norham (has a big Castle) and a picnic in sunshine at Flodden Battlefield, where there is a walk around the site with boards indicating what happened. It’s a nice easy walk, some of it uphill, some downhill, but it’s a very poignant spot whether you are English or Scottish. Not much in way of retail therapy though, so it might not suit in this respect. But have a nice day, we love Berwick!😁

I forgot to mention Cocklawburn Beach. It’s not far away from the Site, on the Southern side of the Tweed. You get to it via Scremerston, over Railway and follow the coast road, until it runs out. Plenty of parking along road and pull ins. Superb for scenery, sealife, shells, hermit crabs etc.... we saw dolphins when last there. One of the UKs loveliest undeveloped beaches, you can see all way down to Bamburgh and Holy Island.....😁

But nowhere near as rude as your (Deleted User) post on the Spanish sites thread yesterday so a bit rich to be complaining!

Nice pictures though, but didn't you post identical ones just a few days ago?

BTW - one of "your mates (from down zummerzet way) wrote this earlier today -
"But its strange that ive only seen three posters on CT ever complain about others being rude (or hurt/upset/insulted etc)"
Hopenough he'said amended his black book to make it 4 now!

We must have left the day before you arrived. We enjoyed Berwick and there are some lovely views from the site. Now at Boroughbridge at the C&CC site before going home tomorrow after three weeks away. I think I preferred the sound of the trains at Berwick to the constant drone of the A1(M)!!!

What did we do today?
First off, we stayed out of bun fights.
Then we finished packing the caravan for a 4/5 week trip away starting from when the rain does, tomorrow. Looking forward to it as it will be our first outing since the end of June so don't really care about the weather as long as it's not a months rain.
Had a mad trip to the local dealers to stock up on something we forgot and regretted it as we saw large queues coming back up the other way to a local food festival so it was a bit like the old days when we used the back roads to get home from work. Ah those were the days.

I’ve been packing as well WN, only 5 nights for us, but after checking the weather, it’s going to be pack for anything this next week. We’re not going far this time, and only using one site which is a rarity for us, but it’s one we like, and right where we need/want to be. We shall still take MH out every day, good to have the mobile cafe along😁

Not so sunny and hot today, it was very close overnight so not a good sleep, this cough is getting annoying now

Lazy morning waiting for the weather to make its mind up
then out for a cycle ride this afternoon, 7.5 miles this time so not as far. Rain is forecast for tonight and on and off tomorrow. OH out doing a bit of tidying up in preparation. Can't complain not had any since coming over. Can't believe its only been 9 days feels like we've been away for weeks. Site almost emptied this morning but a few MH's have now arrived, possibly only for the night though.
Will move down the coast a bit on Monday nearer Bordeaux, could be wet for a few days though
Some sad reports coming from Alicante/Murcia region of Spain hope no one we know is there.

Well I am still without a computer, so sorry I haven't been able to keep up with everything you have been up to

We escaped for a few days to the peaks, made it to the top of Shining Tor and then back down via Cats Tor I was a bit cream crackered afterwards though
Also had a trip into Manchester to check on our sons DIY progress in his new house. At one point we thought we would be making the journey home on the back of a recovery truck, but nursed the car home carefully. OH had to replace both front track control arms, when we got back,
Good job he knows what he's doing must have saved us several hundreds of pounds in labour charges.
"Daffy" had another outing today, local village community day, fantastic weather for it.
Hope all trips are going well, Enjoy the rest of the weekend and the sunshine.

Also like Berwick, one of our favourites. Agree re Flodden, we spent ages wandering about, reading the boards and trying to imagine the sights and sounds of the battle.
Currently at one of our favourite type of sites in France, small municipal. Facilities are fairly old but kept clean and the showers are hot with no push buttons. The site at Beaumes de Venise, not that far from Mount Ventoux, of Tour de France Fame, is in a great walking area. Rather cloudy today with a breeze, but still mid 20's, much more suited to rambling than the 34 of Tuesday. Went up onto the ridge above BdV which divides the terroir of BdV and Gigondas grapes. Nice views with the north side looking towards the teeth of the Dentelles range. When we stopped her in 2004 we walked from BdV across to them and along below the crest. Unfortunately a little beyond us now, but there is still plenty to go at within our capability.😀 Crash bangs and flashes are forecast for tonight and currently raining so A BBQ is out.☹️
