Mundane and boring coming up - you have been warned 😃

Met friend for cuppa and caught up on most of last 3 months worth of news. Did a few bits in town. Too hot walking home in my coat, it's really mild 13c  😃 shadow of myself on the pavement  from the brightness- not really sunny.

Stayed dry so far today, about to put a few bits of washing out - taking bets on how long it will be outside!

I like the day to day ramblings on this part of CT , reminds me of standing in a bus queue. Talk about everything and anything, and long may it continue .😁😁.If i want a deep meaningful discussion I'll go on the CCC forum ......yeah right!!.

+1. I think bus queue conversation sums this thread up very nicely. I love popping on here most of the time 😉

Back from a pleasant walk in Clipstone forest, taking in Vicar Water and the old tip. Temperature was around 13C but still few signs of spring. Apart from the abundant gorse flowers and a couple of Grebe building a nest on the island. We were caught by a couple of April showers but fortunately they were relatively short. We were able to eat our lunch in bright warm sunshine, sat on a bench by the side of the lake. The big gold sculptured hand, which marks the route of Sustrans route 6 looks in need of a bit of TLC.

Van ready for tomorrow. Had a nice text from Adrienne giving us pitch number and saying we could arrive before noon.  At this point if I really wanted mundane I would give out the route information by road numberssurprisedwink

Daughter brought twins round after dropping husband at hospital to have a Very large splinter removed from his hand, protruding nearly three quarters of an inch from his hand.

Hope you enjoy your break OP. As it has warmed up today it must be nice to be setting off somewhere.

We waved our daughter and partner off to sunnier climes. The visiting terrier has once more got his paws under the table. smile

OK. My mundane ramblings for today coming upwink. I did my usual Tuesday morning Welcoming bit at the Cathedral.  Visitors numbers were very good, we were extremely busy.  It must be the good weather bringing people out.  Apart from a rogue shower mid afternoon it has been dry, bright and warm (ish).  This afternoon I went to have a cuppa and a chat with my oldest (in terms of years known) friend as it is her birthday today.  OH has a chest infection so not feeling too good.  He couldn't get an 'emergency' appt at the GP surgery until tomorrow surprised and that took a very long time before he could speak to an actual person as he had to keep pressing various buttons for options, inputting our phone no. and his date of birth.  An old or infirm person or a person with less than full mental capacity would have real difficult in negotiating it all.

I tried to 'like' your post brue but for some reason the system wouldn't let me.  I love the idea of your visiting terrier having his paws under the table.laughing

Have a good trip OP. The weather looks as though it might be picking up.  I hope your SIL's hand will be OK.

Your posts are never 'mundane' millie!  I like to hear the general chat of all the ladies on here as we ladies talk about different things from the men don't we?  I don't post about what 'I have been doing today' because I am always afraid that I would bore people to death!  Most men wouldn't want to hear about grandchildren, cooking, dieting etc.   laughing

Men are no different to us apart from the obvious TaffyY surprisedembarassed but maybe there should be two separate threads called.... Only Girls Allowed for the girls and Only Men Aloud for the boys.wink

Anyway i'm off to put on some lippy and false eyelashes going out with some old work mates now in a minute .now if any men are doing the same all I can say is...well I never wink

TaffyY. I think we women should post what we are interested in and the  men should discuss what interests them. You never  know we might find each other interesting ☺. I think the important thing is that  we all respect each other's views and don't try to force our opinions on others. Each to their own.😊

    Warning - Mundane!!

Drove to youngest daughter's home in Leigh and took the two grand sons (5 and 6) to Warrington Museum. They enjoyed it and also the craft room making and decorating a bunny mash. Well the 6 year old made a mask with a little input from me. The younger one let his mum do most of the work whilst he played with a Noah's Ark from around 1970 at a guess.

They were very good until one was dressed in a tiger suit and the other as a ladybird!

A good day had. Finished off by taking them to pick up fish and chips from Green Lane Chippy in Leigh. Both mum and one son have a gluten intolerance and both kids a milk allergy (not just lactose). This chip shop which is award winning caters for such.
