Is that not the problem?
Individual posts can't be moved to create a separate discussion in the right section. The only option is to delete the posts in question or leave as they are.
I think it is quite clear that if someone wants to raise an issue about a campsite it should not be posted in General Chat but in UK Sites and Touring but as so often happens the site element of the post is initially mentioned as an aside in a more general post which then develops into a discussion that should be elsewhere. So is the the fault of the original poster or those that respond to it?

The difference being with all the "small" chats about sites or anything else is they haven't developed into daily repetitive posts on the same subject, ad infinitum......the "small" chats are just that, they last for a few posts and then, as in everyday conversation, something new comes along and the subject changes. Neither are they singling out one individual for a response and they don't take over the thread for pages and pages. As previously said, it's in the hands of those who respond, whether we get daily repeats or something new.

Malcolm we hardly ever use our bus passes but we have them just in case, like this morning.
OH could have sat around in the garage all day as it happens, like you and your wife did (why your wife had to go as well I'm not sure, your business) however rather than do that or take a courtesy car just to drive home he chose to get the bus. Its only a short walk from the garage to the bus stop so no problem there.
Maybe if you hadn't had to wait around so long you wouldn't have been so tempted to buy another car
Garage just phoned I need some new parts to be fitted and they won't be in until the morning, good job he didn't sit around all day waiting

Went for the bike ride, 5 miles we did. Boy was it cold, even though I had a head-over under my bike helmet, rest of me was fine. The legs are feeling it though been sitting around too much these last couple of months.
Sun is going down now, we have lovely pink fluffy clouds out to the West. Will we get the snow as forecast tonight or not?
Been sorting out a few things to get rid of so have advertised them on a local internet site, so far we have sold everything we have put on it, last thing to go about 15 mins ago was a 32" tv that Mum had before going into the home, she doesn't bother watching tv anymore so rather than take up room in our attic its gone. Need to sort out some more while we are on a roll.

I very rarely use my bus pass either. I won't use it on the rare occasion I go into Chester as the bus goes all around the houses and makes the overall journey there and back about 45 mins more and am usually only in town for 30 mins. Fliss uses it for occasional trips to town.

I agree, David.
I've deliberately steered clear of any discussion about EVs since it's unlikely to apply to me any time soon, and I've no wish to suggest what is or is not justified in a thread with the title of this one. What I will say is that I find it very frustrating to have posted something which may elicit a reply one day and then have to plough through 5 or 6 pages (no exaggeration!) just to check if there has been one. It's a clear disencouragement to posting (IMHO!)

Malcom
We both have bus passes. We haven’t had passports for years, and only have old paper driving licences. So we thought they would come in useful as proof of identity. (No buses come anywhere near us).
It was easy to apply at the local library. They took the photo and checked the documents. See the photo of what was required.

Thanks Cariadon, still planning route, will probably have a stop half way, been at work today, so not given it much thought yet.

We don't use ours much at home Malcom. However, it is still useful to have and is free. Generally we make most use of ours when we are away in the van (England only unfortunately, a reciprocal agreement would be nice) mainly for going into towns/cities. Much nicer than using the car and having to find / pay for parking. Even if your wife has to pay, you go free. When we are at Baltic Wharf we often use it on that bus that stops right outside the site. Takes you into Broadmead, or if you stay on it longer to that Tesco you were visiting at Eastville.

Neither David, it is the fault of the site developers who could not arrange for sections to be transferred from one post to another.

I use my bus pass at times to take the long way into the city from my village, the top deck gives me a new look on the route. I also have no need to rush now I'm retired so an extra hour of someone else doing the driving while I look around seems good to me, plus I don't have to have a good reason to hop on the bus either as city life can be interesting occasionally after village life.

A successful visit to Optegra. Eye pressures are stable and I did reasonably well on the "space invaders game" aka Field Vision Test. So the guide dog doesn't get to drive the MH for at least another six months.

Just having a quick catch up on here. Only doing this thread.
Nice to see folks making holiday plans - something we'll have do consider when we return, not yet though 😉.
Much cooler today and a bit breezy had to remove sleeveless t shirt and put on a short sleeved one 😲😲. Forecast high of 24 today and overcast.
Gosh Raglan was busy, by NZ standards anyway. Some surf but lifeguards had to move and condense safe areas a couple if times. Watched a child 8-10 years with a body board being brought back to shore. Parents blissfully unaware at the back of the beach. Chatted to lifeguard, 16 year old volunteer, who said parents not unduly concerned 😲😲. (I may have said similar before, if I have sorry, but with limited wifi resources I'm not trawling back through to find my post 😉.

I remember a similar situation at Putsborough beach in Devon when we were there with our children when young bakers2. There was an offshore wind and we had all been warned by loud hailer not to let our children go out on body boards or dingies but some parents seemed ignorantly unaware of the dangers and still let their children go off and then they had to be rescued😈. I would settle for 24 degrees. It is a high of 5 degrees here. 😕 Thanks for the lovely photos.

No Need to be concerned about any repetition, B2 !
It could be the start of a new business
.
Roughly engrave the warning onto the thick end of a Maori war club, then get sponsorship from the lifeguard organisers.
They might even start classes at local gyms to give help & guidance on how to use them most effectively
!!

To young for my bus pass yet, but when I come of age will certainly get one. On certain winter months you can take the Heart Of Wales line from Swansea to Shrewsbury free, and I think certain train services if there's no bus route. Anything to save fuel money.

I regularly use my bus pass if I'm going into town on my own for anything. Its a 2.5 mile trip each way and you don't have to worry about car parking. If the OH is coming too, we always go in the car, its another 3 years for her bus pass and the fare is £2.40 each way... irritating, but part of the scheme to increase pension age & bus passes to 66 for her age group.

The blow is forecast to continue right through to Thursday with it peaking late Wednesday with 60mph gusts down here. Are you craning or using a Renner?

Lovely weather here in Redhill, Triky! We're planning to visit WWT, London today. It's in one of my favourite parts of London, Richmond area by the River Thames. Richmond Park nearby. It's about 30 miles from here each way. We've been several times to WWT Arundel but never to the London WWT. So if the weather stays nice, we're hoping for a lovely day out. We're taking a picnic lunch and flask of tea with us.
