I think that's young for a full class lesson  😮. We answered questions for ours as they arose or was opportune. Daughter caught a human birth on TV whilst at nursery school.  Can't remember how old she was but old enough to turn TV on herself with permission.  It was lunchtime I got lunch going ready for us to watch ?Sesame Street? she came and told me what she'd seen. I went though and low it was 😲😲. She would have been nearer 4 I reckon as I have nearly five years between my two and I wasnt pregnant!

Sadly some children aren't talked to about anything let alone this subject. Seems they loose 'their innocence' so young now in so many different ways. Is sniggering in small groups better? I don't know.

She was fascinated at the birth of our kittens, mesmerised, complained of the smell and had to have hanky over her nose but wouldn't not watch. Our son saw one being born and declared that's that then and went off to play. They were 7 and 2 or thereabouts.  All the kittens had to go to school for news when they were old enough. I don't know if the birth was described or if it was just lost in the cuteness of all eight kittens 😂.

well normally she helps out, but she's bought a caravan and having a few away nights with him. Actually I think they've got separate caravans. Being Patron of the club I expect he gets a discount on site, and of course the corgis go free.

    What a day.

Ironed some clothes, sorted out a load of on-line banking, connected caravan to electric and started to load it, washed the front of it (again!), raked front lawn, cut all the grass, did some gardening, did a trip to the tip, washed both cars.......a little tired now.

Wow! Beautiful day today, started out a bit misty over the river Soane and the fields along its banks but then the sun came out and it was great not a cloud in the sky and it's getting hot. We moved to a better pitch after breakfast, this one is in the sun and not under trees. Went for a bike ride this afternoon along the river and into Tournus, it's a lovely old town. Ended up going to the new Lidl for a few bits and bobs, then back to the site for an ice cream. Evening meal sat outside in the sun, now I know I'm on holiday. cool

That very site Millie. Very nice. Only a fraction of it is in use at the moment, mainly British and Dutch plus a few French. Wi Fi is also very good, possibly because of the low numbers very fast.

It's been a really busy week, so enjoying a cup of tea and catching up.

Bit jealous of everyone having great trips away, smile but glad you're all having a great time.

Have been stuck in office at work all week, very busy  and things not going to plan frown. Not had much time for anything else except dog walks. Looking forward to a rest now it's the weekend smile Going to see if I can get my iron changed only had it 9 months and it fell to bits this week!  Might treat myself to some retail therapy while I'am out too.wink

Have a great weekend everyone smile

We've got up to what looks like fair weather this morning. I have two days off work so we'll be hitching up today to go to Broomfield Farm CMC site near Lewes. Just £28 for two nights there. One contactless payment will do the trick! Excellent value!

Very damp here this morning.  It looks as though it rained overnight which is good for the garden. Hopefully the wind has dropped as well.  Planning on going out to re-stock the van and give it a bit of a spruce up ready for our trip next weekend so I hope it dries up.

    Enjoy your retail therapy Helen.

Enjoy your weekend all of you, lucky people in France as well. smile

Must get on with the garden, get things in, we're using too much water keeping seedlings going. Time for them to fend for themselves. No sign of rain so it's still very dry.

What a difference a day makes, today the sun has deserted us and it's pouring down.  There is no point moving on today as it's just the same where we are going. We are on a decent site with good free wifi and we are on a h/s, the joy of being over here is that we don't have to say how long we are staying, no need to ask permission of a warden to stay longer, the site is very quiet just know but it starts to get arrivals around 3pm  most days then most are off again by 9.30am.

Hope those needing rain get it soon would hate to see standpipes being brought in. France could certainly send some at the momentwink

Nice photo Millie. It looks as though they may have narrowed the pitches a bit, to fit more in. Although we still have plenty of room. Here's one I took when we arrived. Not quite so nice today, as it's been raining. Brightening up now though, so it looks like we should be OK for a decent walk this afternoon.

Nice photo Steve. We were on a particularly wide pitch near the facilities block and overlooking the river.  I hope the weather picks up soon for you.  How long are you there for?

Still raining here though forecast says it should be easing soon.

Just watched a Belgium motor home bury his 2 front wheels in soft wet grass, he has driven onto a grass pitch opposite 2 h/s pitchessurprised there is a tree in front of him so he can't  go forward, he can't  reverse as his wheels are skidding and he's  been turning them every which way. Site owner chappie now taking a look, don't  think he's  to happy. Pickup now trying to tow him off backwards. I'm  pretty sure he would have been told not to park on the grass, we were when we arrived and that was before today's rain.

Thanks Millie, probably a week. Ever one for the offers, its 7 for the price of 6. At least I think that still applies on the ACSI. Either way it is a bargain at 13 euros a night.

Thanks BB. Yes saw the Aire looked very usefully placed, alongside the Loir, with a Carrefour contact for your shopping on the other side of the road. Just a warning for anyone intending to stop there. It is not available Tuesday evening until Wednesday afternoon, because of the market.

Cloudy day today early sunshine didn't last.

Went to Argos who kindly changed my iron that fell to bits this week, luckily had kept copy of email receipt.

Hoovered the inside of the car this afternoon, thought I'd better as OH  had cleaned the outside. laughing

Managed to post a picture of our local badger on the what have you seen thread, kind of worked, undecided think I need more practice!  laughing

We left Worthing at about midday and travelled along the A27 towards Lewes. We arrived at Broomfield Farm CMC site at about 13:30. We chose a pitch in the wooded area of the site with bluebells around it. The weather was very pleasant throughout the day and we soon got settled into our pitch. After that we had lunch and sat outside for a while before taking a walk around.
