What I cannot understand is you all know what MM is like who refuses all advise offered is why you all still take the time in responding to him.

We can't believe how lucky we have been since last Thursday. Had a small shower driving up, but wall to wall sunshine most of time, tempered by a sneaky little cold wind though! Moors are very dry, bit of a sea fret around Whitby and Sandsend, but we have sat outside all evening up to six thirty. Dropping cold now though!

How far North are you heading M?

Went to York today. A bit cool to start with, then the sun came out and it was really warm and pleasant.

Fairly quiet there today, now everyone has gone back to work wink

Well, bearing in mind that anywhere further up the mapthan Cheltenham is North to us!

We've got 5 days on a CL near Clitheroe followed by a week on a commercial site at Threshfield near Skipton and then 4 nights at Chatsworth on the way back. So not quite whippet and flat cap country! wink

Yes, Ian - we've got 2 site night vouchers to use before June and Chatsworth is the most expensive site we could manage!

It'll bring our total use of CAMC sites this year to 9 nights at a total cost of about £150. How does that compare?!! wink

Thanks for that info GC - always good to know of dog friendly spots. It's a shame the CAMC site is closed as the site we're staying at works out as the most expensive on our trip by far! frown

Glorious sunny Cornish morning. Quick breakfast and then we'll be up to Penhale Dunes with the dogs. Bit of tidying up to do and then we'll be off home later in the day.

What are we up to today - not a lot as its raining in Chalons frown we had a good crossing on Sunday night, very slow in clearing through customs in Zeebrugge 1hr 15 mins.

Decent enough drive to Chalons and 2 lovely warm sunny days. Nice cycle ride along the canal yesterday and a bit of sitting in the sun in the late afternoon, perfect.

OH  cleaned the windscreen of dead flies etc and noticed the start of a split in the drivers windscreen wiper, to late for the garages and shops so we are staying here another day (today) We decided it was best to replace it before heading off as the weather is for rain for most of today and possible a bit tomorrow, all done now. Not a lot of Brits out and about at the moment, probably more down the South of France when we get there, plenty of other nationals here though.

Cloudy grey and damp here and really chilly. Hubby retrieved conservatory heater from its summer storage and we have it on, he is not known for feeling the cold 😲. Not inspired to do anything so once usual chores completed I've been knitting in the conservatory. Just browsing on here over lunch.

Nice to hear from you Tammygirl any particular reason for slow clearance? Have a great time.

It maybe damp here but it's not rain and we could really use some. I have some plants to put out but they can't go in while it's this dry!

A very chilly, grey and windy day here today.  Mr H has taken some stuff out to the caravan to re-load it after it's service but I didn't feel inspired to go with him.  After a trip to the dentist this morning (just a check up) I am spending the rest of the day doing inside jobs. Weather forecast not much better for the rest of the week. frown

Nice to hear from you Tammy.  Hope the rain where you are clears soon.  Where are you off to next?
