". . . . . just back from a walk and an ice cream . . . . ."
" Might have a day off tomorrow and go for a longer stroll . . . . "
Very strange WN, that there was no mention of a larger ice cream

P.S. / Edit :~~ Cross posted, :-- Can I apply to join the Fan Club, please, cos I'll need a warm thick scarf this time next week, after my Tuesday Shearing ! { And that's NOT a new coach company }

"M - The Packhorse doesn't have any outdoor seating does it? You may have to find an alternative if you want a pint and a meal."
There is a small area out the back with half a dozen or so tables. In fact, that was how we first discovered it as the footpath we were walking on goes past it. Where we are staying would mean a drive up there anyway but it's fine walking country anyway. Just going to have a look now on Google!

Edit ...and the good news is ...
"WE ARE REOPENING ON MONDAY 12TH APRIL!!
WE HAVE BUILT A FULLY COVERED AND WATERPROOF PERGOLA IN OUR GARDEN.
IT HAS 2 FIRES AND 4 HEATERS. PICTURES AVAILABLE TO VIEW ON FACEBOOK AND INSTAGRAM.
THE PERGOLA CONTAINS 5 TABLES WHICH ARE AVAILABLE FOR RESERVATIONS.
THERE ARE A FURTHER 4 TABLES THAT DON'T HAVE COVER WHICH ARE NOT AVAILABLE FOR RESERVATIONS.
BOOKING IS THEREFORE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. ALL BOOKINGS WILL HAVE TO FALL WITHIN THE GOVERNMENT COVID GUIDELINES."

Me too. Can I join. Amazing that, of the six people nationally that haven't watched any GOT, we are all on Club Together.

I have seasons 1 to 8 of game of thrones in a box set if you'd like to borrow? Just swerve up through north Devon on your way home!

Two more here for the non GofT club.

Have been in trouble on arrival at next site, we had the right peg on the right corner but not in the right direction..even after checking with others before we chocked up and plugged in. The warden who shook his head didn't help. In the middle of all that our surgery called to book our second jabs, I couldn't get them off speaker phone as I was slightly distracted. An entertaining half hour for the people next to us.
(jabs on Monday, good to hear about others too...)So we had a very late lunch and a walk to clear our heads! Warm and dry and now listening to love sick bulls on the farm next door. 🐂🐂🐂

Clouds just clearing here. Making a start on loft boxes 😱😱😱. 6 done, 100's more to go......... I don't go in the loft so have to wait for assistance. Never mind baby steps an I can dispose in the bin and household recycling as I go!
Our loft is filthy too, so doesn't entice visits. 1930's house, tiles onto roof battens. On one of my 3 ventures into the loft, it was to vacuum rafters before we put a lining on the inside. I helped with that and I had to sort a frozen pipe when OH away when we had silly minus figures - so well wrapped are our pipes now they'd be hard to find 🤣. Shame person who did do the loft jobs is a hoarder and untidy........
Finding I'm tired as things open up,and I'm doing more 🤣. Tomorrow is dog training, my 2nd jab and then my hair sort out. So many weeks of pacing oneself and eeking the jobs out to make them last and this has been the only 'Free' day this week!
Good to hear folks enjoying their aways 😀. Brue sounds like a club site, how did you get your position sooooo wrong??

Another pair not seen GOfT but OH did hear it was excellent but he does not watch much tv usually on his ipad or other computers.
More gardening today all my Salvia shrubs now trimmed plus a few other plants, OH did the strimming outside our wall and a few other places so looking a lot better and then we had a few claps of thunder no lightening and only a few drops of rain really could do with it now as ground very dry and cracked a bit too early in the season.

The non watching GofT fan club is expanding. None of our family have ever watched it despite it being filmed near where our son and family live in N Ireland. We went to look at the film location at Castle Ward but it didnt mean anything to us!
I feel like Bakers2. It has been a very social week - meeting up with one friend at a time outside. It has been lovely but tiring!
The weather gods have certainly smiled on you this week moulesy. I hope you are as lucky with your next trip.
Oh dear brue - ooops! Did you have to turn your MH round? It sounds as though you didnt get the right and clear instrctions from the wardens.

Not seen GOT😱 Where have you all been😁🤷♀️
Mind, I haven’t seen any of the Godfather films, or Apocalypse Now.
Tinny, it was an earlier James Bond that used Eden Centre for filming, a Pierce Brosnan one, along with Toby Stephens as the baddy. Die Another Day, it doubled up as an ice palace, rather good car chase on ice. They might have used it for QofS as well, but I got bored with that one, didn’t watch it all way through.Another lovely day here after a bit of a cool start this morning. More cycling for me, while OH took the pooch and his chariot for a very long walk. Pooch has now added River Nene to his tally of “where every Labrador should get wet”😂

You're right, TDA. It was Die Another Day. Holywell became North Korea and Eden was the ice palace.👍🏻

Millie, thank you for the meet up, it was lovely to say a proper hello, no matter how brief. At least it wasn’t raining😁

All right, all right, I only said "approximately 6" - there I was thinking I was one of an exclusive few!

Traditional last night fish & chips supper down on Droskyn Point this evening - can think of worse views for al fresco dining (never let it be said I don't know how to show a girl a good time!

I really enjoyed meeting up with you as well TDA. Good to say Hello and have a chat.

Bloodlands for us. Also filmed in N Ireland. The opening shot of the ferry and the pulling out of the car from the lough was filmed in Strangford where our son and family live and the pink house on the hill in the background is their house. Other than that we love The Repair Shop and I love The Great British Sewing Bee. My Mum was a professional seemstress so a lot of memories for me.

I'm also one of the people who have never seen even one episode of Game of Thrones. Generally, I'm not a fan of 'fantasy' or 'historical' films. Not the slightest bit attracted to Lord of the Rings - every other scene appears to involve 'fighting'..... but I did enjoy the Harry Potter series.

A glorious sunny day, so we've set up the solar panel (suitcase type) to top up the battery before our trip away tomorrow.
I'll be glad if it's warm amd sunny enough to sit/cook/eat/drink outdoors, but we desperately need rain! The grass isn't growing and we've a lot of stock ready to go out. so, please rain (but at night)!

Another cracker of a day, this little fellow has been buzzing around for a few days, really good to see but at £2k per 30 mins spin, bit too expensive for me
He normally does a week at our local airfield then flies off to somewhere in Sussex . 1 -

I did try and spot the house you mentioned but wasn't quite sure I found it! I did enjoy Bloodlands, although I am strangely nervous about watching programmes about "the troubles". The main character in Bloodlands, James Nesbitt, apparently is about to appear in Line of Duty, could be interesting!
Margaret now a happy bunny as she has just been for her haircut, the first one in six months!!! Now waiting for Waitrose to turn up with our delivery.

GoT is an acquired taste, I came to it late, some three seasons in before I watched it, mainly because we didn’t subscribe to anything, only have Freeview. But, it’s one of those memorable TV events where a huge budget has been allocated and the sets, the locations, the costumes, the acting talent (established and newcomers) came together with an epic story and some great script writing. I suspect that the gore and violence would put off many, and then there’s the high prevalence of sexual scenes in the earlier seasons😯, but it twists and turns at every stage, and has certainly stamped a blue print for dispatching some of the big name actors at a surprising rate. Baddies become goodies, goodies become murderously bad, and it does have some “oh my goodness” moments that come slap out of nowhere. Not sure how well a prequel will do, but I will give it a go
Sunny again here. Another bike ride, this time into Peterborough. We are going to look at the outside of the Cathedral.

We've followed in Moulesy's footsteps along the cliffs of Chapel Porth this morning. Stopping for a Croque Monsieur and coffee en route, we needed it, the winds were very strong and not very safe around the cliff edges so more energy needed. Saw a pair of choughs on one of the old wheel houses. Had to carry the dog half way, her little legs can only take so much but she did well..so did we, the paths are crumbly in some places, very dry and slippy. The cliffs are tinder dry, 42 mph winds.
