No they are still intact hehe.

Weather brightened up this afternoon and actually got quite warm so I got the roof rack out and put that on the Volvo along with the bike fitting part so that will be all ready for when the sites open in a few weeks and we can take the bikes it’s a good feeling moving closer to the day we can get away again. Also gave the BBQ a good clean after it’s hibernation so hoping the weather is ok tomorrow

Just received a phone call from our 16 year old granddaughter, she has just had her Covid jab. She suffers from Postural Tachycardia and faints up to 9 times a day without any warning. Seems while waiting her 15 minutes after the jab she passed out twice. Everyone came running, very kind and concerned, her Mum had to explain. It seems they don't really expect anyone to pass out. Bless her she phoned me up laughing, they said they will be prepared for her next time.

After a lovely warm clear day on Tuesday yesterday, although still warm, was quite hazy, so much so that the Lakeland Hills were not visible. We enjoyed a wander by the shore, along with other dog walkers.

Today was much cooler but clearer, with a bit of a breeze, but I still was able to wear my shorts. Did some painting to spruce up our hall between walks out with Flyte. Not happy with the results so will have to redo them tomorrow.

Not to worry WN, I feel we've all been locked into some strange sort of time machine over the last year, I'm surprised we can remember who we are never mind what's on the date stamp...wink

Today was the conclusion of another "augean stables" task, pressure washing the patio which hadn't been done for a couple of years.

I was allowed to go back to tinkering with the Moho afterwards and have now installed a couple of independent sockets in preparation for the inverter installation due next week.

DEBS good to read your granddaughter has had her vaccine. Sounds like she and you as a family have accepted and live with her medical issue. That's good to hear but scary for those observing, including medical staff.

Good to hear of folks days out and others hard work, I'm still rather more on the lockdown lethargy mantra of manyarna and making the jobs last 😃 but the sunshine inspires. That went yesterday and the air coming in through our bedroom window strikes decidedly chilly. Our windows are extremely rarely properly closed, hence a warmer duvet most of the year.

Looking out of said window 7am remarked on the early start as a plasterers van pulled up opposite. Now post on neighbourhood watch fb page and our local WhatsApp says not as appears but rifling neighbours drives and skips. 😤😱. Sadly we've had much of this sort of activity recently. Lots of folks have left bits out for free that can be of use to others, but they are labelled thus.

Keep warm and enjoy your day folks

Thanks Bakers, sadly I can't accept what she has, I want more than anything to see her out and about enjoying outside life with her teenage friends. She however, does seem more accepting, she says there are worse things, which of course there are. Perfectly healthy at 14, It came from nowhere. Lots of medication and us paying for private consultations helps. Our local hospital Drs admit they don't have a clue. She now has to use a wheelchair outside. We love having her to stay, such good company, and we can spoil her. She is determined to be off to uni in a year.

It must be very difficult, I have some idea of where you're coming from. It's good to know that she isn't going to let it hold her back and that says a lot about her character and upbringing. Be there to help when you can, in anyway you can.

There are some still showing of their legs here, not many on yesterday's walk, I suspect fewer today. But that said often they are worn to stop mucky trousers!

I'll be adding another layer and a scarf before the dog and I go out. At least my washing should dry swiftly when i peg it out in a mo. Birds are very active and busy with nests, food being accepted gratefully, i expect they'll be an additional demand over the weekend with the dip in temperatures.

What you implying CY?, have you know that the Coachman is gleaming inside and out, laughing must admit that since i started using the Fenwick stuff i have not had any real problems with green mould on the roof, i do tilt slightly to the rear to allow rain water to run off more easily and keep the trees pruned so nothing overhanging.

we do have a couple of pesky magpies that sit on the aerial, they might have to be frightened off, blackbirds nesting in the Camellia and Magpies will destroy the eggs or even eat the young. yell

Woke up to a frost this morning.

After a couple of days not feeling great, yesterday I was back on form.

Housework all done, 2 loads of washing done and out on the line.

OH was down at the 'Orchard' planting more trees with the help of others from the Men's shed. They have now planted 70 trees with another 30 still to do.

In the afternoon we went for a cycle ride but only managed 5 miles, my right hip was playing up and the wind was very cold on the face. Still it was nice to be back out on the bikes.

Once back we went out to the MH to install new spotlights. We have 4 above the seating/bed area, we have changed 2 of them to spotlights with usb points in the base. OH has fitted a small 12v fan under the top lockers, either side,  it can be rotated to face either way, so we can now have a gentle breeze blowing on us while sleeping if it's hot ☺ we've been doing lots of little mods in the MH just can't wait to get away and try them all out.😀

As of today we can now go out and about within our LA area.

A lovely sunny day out there if you stay away from the northerly cold wind.

Nobody about first thing this morning when we had our walk but the sound of the birds singing was a joy and we were entertained by 2 pairs of Buzzards with the respective males doing their aerial acrobatics trying to show off.

Had 2 phone calls today from our energy supplier and an email stating that they will retrospectively apply the tariff from December that I've been insisting on them doing etc.etc. but I'll not believe it until I see the figures on our account go down and the tariff shows as the one we wanted. Only taken me 10 weeks and 11 Complaint handlers to get there.

Been out to the caravan to check the heating and water systems work before setting off on Tuesday for a brief local stay. All fine after we finally remembered what to do!laughing

Good luck to your GD DEBSC. She seems to have a good attitude. Obviously a lot harder for parents and Grandparents.

Bright sunshine all day but a cold nippy wind out in the open. OH has cut all the lawns, all seven of them, various shapes, slopes and easier bits. He has put in a wood order to build a pergola..we say Perger-lah some say Per go lah... but we won't call the whole thing off! laughing

Apparently Per go lah is the American version, so is Ly chin for Lichen, we say Litchen ( I thought we said it like that because we're died in the wool pikelet eating Midlanders!! wink)

Anyway the Pergola is going to cause some huffing and puffing of it's own whichever way it's said....🙃

Lovely day here sun has been out and as the day went on it got warmer. Spent an enjoyable afternoon in the garden and cooked on the BBQ for the first time this year and then had a couple of drinks in the summer house just as the sun was setting. Back in the house now as it got a bit chilly but going to have a few drinks and see what’s on the telly.

hope everyone else has a nice Easter weekend

It was pretty chilly this morning, 4 degrees here at 10am, DD said there was ice on her windscreen at 8am, down in town.  We are quite a bit higher up here, so usually quite a bit colder, our daffodils are a couple of weeks behind those down in town.

I have now finished the little shelves in the bathroom for DD and am awaiting my tasks for tomorrow.  OH has been kept busy helping DD with copious amounts of laundry, and quite a bit of dishwashing.  Plus taking little Nathan out for walls in his pram.

Yesterday we went out into the caravan, OH was pleasantly surprised that after 17 months of no use, everything looked fine.  No apparent leaks or damp, no mildew anywhere. Even the toilet roll we had left in the bathroom was bone dry!

I have managed to get the toilet flush pump going, it was a blown fuse, and have ordered 3 new LED strip lights for the kitchen and bathroom.

Have not yet tested the fridge, the aircon, or the heating on gas.

We were just talking about this staying in your own local authority area......in our case East Dunbartonshire.    We are in a sort of "offshoot" of our main LA area,  so almost anywhere we go will take us out of the LA area.  IMO it would be much more sensible to set  a max travel from home distance.

If we want to go to certain shops, Sainsburys.....Morrisons.....which are only 3 miles away.....we are crossing into Glagow City.  Likewise if we need to click and collect from Toolstation or Screwfix....also 3 miles away.  And if we want to visit our nearby Country Park for exercise, also 3 miles away, we will be in Stirlingshire.  If we want to go to our nearest town..... Clydebank......that is in West Dunbartonshire!

Fortunately we are allowed to visit DD, in Glasgow, so can then access shops in that area.

But you live in sunny warm climes of the South coast, where the temperature never drops below 20 C and it never rains for more than a few minutes every other week,  not the arctic north like what I does!!!😁

It's been a lovely sunny day today, but woke up to a heavy frost. This soon went but it was still chilly out of the sun. We were surprised that there weren't more people out walking this morning, but it was a little busier around by the Abbey this afternoon. There was a beautiful green 1949 Citreon in excellent condition in the car park. Went over the painting again this lunchtime, just hope that it's all sorted now, only time will tell once it has dried out properly.

And very nice it is to, but did live north of Aberdeen for 14 years and still wore shorts most of the time, my OH suffers from Reynards syndrome, low blood pressure, so very cold, so we had a log burner half way up the chimnney most of the time, so i sat in tee shirt & shorts whilst OH was wrapped in a duvet laughing

cant remember when we last had rain, very dull today but we have had some cracking weather caravan never had so much use, on our own svcd pitch i might add, with a facilities block that is always open, called inside loo and shower with beer on tap, 5 mins cycle to beachcool

Friends round for coffee this morning, going to be chilly sat in garden, and family BBQ tomorrow, still got some gas in the bunsen burner so might have to flash that up tongue-outuse up my carbon credits i have accrued from not using my car laughing

Another gorgeous day here sun has been out all day and it’s pretty warm. Took a trip to our local hardware store this morning to pick up some padlocks for our shed. Spent the rest of the day in the garden tidying some things up and will be getting the beer out soon and firing up the BBQ. Looks like it will be very different tomorrow rain forecast for here so better enjoy this while we can
