Is it bad reporting from the BBC or poor communication from Government ?
Actually, WN, I think it's just another example of atrocious work by a large, London - based Communications business, even when so much of the technical stuff takes place at Salford Quays !! It really does make me very angry !

WN our son who is a researcher for the N Ireland Assembly said when we spoke 2 days ago that no decision has been reached yet over there. Arlene et al are taking a very cautious approach so no not all of the UK by any means.

I meant that no-one in England can go away till well after Easter on April 12th, as per the gov uk "roadmap out of Covid." Although I suppose this will include a week of some school holidays so there'll be quite a mix of people taking breaks.

A bit of good news this afternoon, OH got a text from our GP Surgery offering her dates next week for her second jab, so she's having it done next Tuesday evening, just 10 weeks after her first one. Hopefully I will get the call next week as my original one was 5 days after OH's.
It has been fine for most of the day but quite cold, although we did have one short shower around noon.

When Covid broke in 2020 I'd spent the time since Sept 2019 working on the house. Following a 15 x 6m extension build and interior remodelling I set to on a full internal refurb. Working 8+ hrs a day 7 days a week I finished everything just in time for Covid to strike. Since then I have been so bored.
Today however I found a really exciting job. When I sorted through the logs I cut up for the fire last year I pulled the loose bark off them and tore it up into bark mulch. 3 hrs of joy.

Was through to Glasgow for an essential purpose...OH has an annual check up at a hospital there, talking to a doctor she said "she was stopped on her way home after the shift "by the polis and asked where she was going was it an essential purpose that she out and about, even checking with the hospital to confirm her story!
By the way all was well with SWMBO! so a years respite.

Good news for you Robsail.
I'm hoping March is going true to the saying " in like a lion, out like a lamb" as we've certainly got more strong winds today.
I bought a new kettle for the van and it fits in the cupboard OK so hope that's a good omen. 🍀

Mrs C got her booking letter from the NHS for the vaccine and went online and booked at the local Nightingale hospital a few miles away. The earliest was over two and a half weeks but no problem.
Then a few hours later she got a text from our surgery with another link to book where I had mine. Went on got one for this Monday!

Rough week weather wise, 85mph winds off the Needles , trees down, some IOW ferries cancelled but today a little bit better but this is still quite rough for the Solent. Decorators got 2 more days work to finish, thank goodness, luckily we have 2 bathrooms, 3 if you include the caravan and 3 lounges, so we are able to keep out of their way
doing a great job, but dont know why workmen always have to have the radio blaring away, must be getting old

So pleased for you Robsail. That was a bit heavy handed by the police!

The wind seems to have dropped a bit and the sun is out so it is gardening for us this morning and then watching the rugby this afternoon for OH so our day is sorted.

I think we missed most of the really bad weather, only had one night when it was really wet and a bit windy. Yesterday was sun and squally showers, with sleet, but today is lovely so far.
Callum is 3 years old today, so we will be boing down to say hello and drop off some presents, just as well it is dry and sunny!

I've read with envy that people are managing to book hair cuts, especially anyone in Wales whilst the English remain wild and unkempt!!

With some relief my hairdresser is now accepting future appointments (her husband has been very I'll so it wasn't possible.)
Small snips forwards.....

Margaret is desperate to book a hairdressing appointment. She keeps wondering whether to ring them before they open to get in the queue! My hair was very long and getting uncomfortable so Margaret cut it for me. I pointed her in the direction of a self help video on YouTube. It seems to have worked as she has made a pretty decent job of it. I could see me saving money in future, although not much as my haircut only cost £8 at pensioner rates!!!

We met Mrs M's hairdresser while walking the dogs this morning (JVB's not the only one with that sort of contact!
). She promised to ring up to give her a booking next week, only problem is we'll be off to Cornwall as soon as the starting pistol fires - but somehow she forgot to mention that! 1 -
I am giving OH a haircut this afternoon and my will be done tomorrow when we visit friends as she trained as a hairdresser, I can manage the fringe but she tells me off if I do anymore.
Gone dull and very windy here now after some early sunshine and looks like rain for the next two days but the ground is very dry and we have noticed that the river levels are much lower again after the floods and the local paper telling us already to conserve water over the summer months glad we have a lot of water butts around the property even OH's shed has 1 1000ltr and 1 350ltr connected together, did not run out last year thankfully as we had a few storms through the summer.

it does bring a sense of relief, especially if you've had one yourself and are left worrying about OH.
My OH got jabbed today so I can breathe a bit easier. As she said she should have the immunity up to full speed by the time the big release for England takes place.

Mum had her second jab yesterday, two weeks before due date, so things are a bit earlier here. Clockwork experience again, in, checks, jab, sit and out. All very well organised. Another month and she wil have good resistance. Good to here things are progressing well for others.
Our first trip away is mid April. Got a Club Site booked, fees at moment will be £96. Spotted a CL with space that looks nice, will be similar facilities, but only £60. Decisions, decisions🤔

I've cut OH hair three times now, he said he's not sure if he will bother going back to the hairdresser when allowed, he has curly hair, which helps hide any errors. Got so fed up I also cut mine, layers and all. I followed the previous cut and its ok. The back was rather difficult. Think I will have to do it once more but after that the 'lines' to follow would be gone and I'd struggle. Broadcasters make me smile, I notice Sofie Raynsworth has a few roots showing. Our local weather man always looks spruce, he says he is trusting his daughters to cut his, they are making a pretty good job of it.

What a pity Tomas Schafenaccher (possibly spelt incorrectly!) hasn't got a couple of daughters then!

Good to hear of people getting their jabs. Our daughter had hers today so that is 2 of our 3 children 'done'. Hopefully our youngest son will be in the next batch but as he lives in N.Ireland he might have to wait a bit longer. I agree it is a great relief, especially as the younger, working, generation are out and about more than us.
I have a hair appt 'pencilled in' for the 14th April - fingers crossed. I gave OH's hair a bit of a trim a couple of weeks ago. He hasn't made any comment

Busy day here today. Moved the caravan in to the middle of the drive and got the ladders out to give the roof a good clean took hard work and got soaked but well worth it the van looks great now thanks to Nellie and WN (I think it was you two) who recommended the Fenwicks cleaner it really worked well and gave the van a good shine. After putting the van back in it’s space decided to give the Volvo a good clean too since the hose etc was out so that’s both done now. Got the itch to get away now can’t wait until we are allowed here’s hoping for a good summer.

Moulesy -- he won't complain -- probably been called all sorts of things over the years. Who am I talking about -- why Mr Tomasz Schafernaker, of course

MillieH -- your OH won't complain or comment cos he is a good sensible sort of bloke { who knows how to survive in these troubled times
}And I am just getting my comments on CT in first cos I keep driving past my hairdressers and I have noticed that they have had some farm animal pen things erected all down the road for us to queue in { I think
