I have just completed another Lockdown Jigsaw, I think I am up to 12 now!!! The latest one is Flags of the World by EuroGraphics which is slightly different to a lot of jigsaws as not all pieces interlock. Not sure it will help me with Pointless questions as whilst I might remember the flag I doubt I will remember the country!!!

David I did a "city" landscape puzzle of the London Finance district not long ago, viewed from the Thames. After that I realised lockdown was having a bad effect on me and I definitely needed to get out more, even if it was just a couple of miles...

I thought for a minute it was a pic of that digital "painting" that's just sold for 'silly' million. As far as I can make out it seems to be some sort of illustrated bitcoin. Since the world and his wife can view it online, the only place it exists, I don't quite get the ownership aspect of it.

DEBSC,
I spend a bit of time watching sport on the telebox, and this coming week there will be Snooker ( possibly / probably from Milton Keynes ) and I know at least two of my friends will be watching to see if Neil Robertson, the Aussie, has had HIS hair cut ! Normally neat & straight in the 'modern' style, in the last few C19 tourneys he has looked rather like a six foot plus curly household mop !!

.....along with his flock of Highland cattle😂😂

......hope he’s been to Specsavers, think of that poor collie dog😂
Weather has been foul here today, so we have been playing nicely on bikes up in attic. I did a jaunt around Wooler (some big hills😱) OH went to Switzerland, East of Interlaken, past Cresta Run. And no motors either........🥵

Delighted to say I've got a hair appointment for full works on 22 April. Got a text whilst in the middle of a field on a lovely walk having put flowers on mum and dad's grave. Don't usually check phone whilst out like that but glad I did. I had to memorise 2 phone numbers, first engaged, second rang . First date available for full works booked, cut only 3 days before so not much to choose between. Fingers crossed we get unlocked as forecast 🤞.
We've had lovely bright days despite the forecast. Very very breezy, large tree down in local park, know of young mum walking through as it went, she feared her 4 year was under it, he was just behind her 😱🙈, he appeared from behind it and she was in a terrible state, not at all surprised. Apparently it was going to school time and right on the path through the park which lots of folks use to save walking by the busy road. Lots of other trees/branches and debris around too. Thankfully we've had little day time rain. The only real shower during daylight started as Dora and I started our walk home via central park after dropping the car for its MOT(it passed 😀). Naturally it stopped as we approached home! It was beautiful when we drove off so I didn't bother with full wet gear. However that wind is very chilly 🌬🌬
Managed a catch up walk with brother and sister in law. OH lost his shoe in the mud, wouldn't wear his boots 😤, socked foot into lovely squishy mud. Once we'd got him sorted we tried not to laugh too much 😉. So he had nice walk home.
Milliehull I'm delighted to hear you've seen your daughter and your great grandson. Lovely to see him walk too 👏. And that the family are getting their jabs.
KjellNN can't believe Callum is 3 already, hope you saw him and he's had a good day.
Seen our first frog in the garden, sadly it was very dead and bloated 😢😢. But I've seen 2 newts at the same time 😀. Not seen a rat for a few days hopefully the poison is doing it's job, although I hate to think about it. But it means we can return to feeding the birds. Friends up the road boasting they have a hedgehog in their hedgehog house 😤 can't entice ours, who I suspect are hibernating under our shed, because of the rats - I know the rats had visited our hedgehog house, so I have cleaned it right out and disinfected it, should be less smelly by the time I can restraw and put out some food.
Fireworks going off AGAIN 😤

Tell me something Ttda.
That attic of yours. Does it have a big wind machine that you can regulate the wind speed blowing into your face whilst doing all of this cycling? And then does it continue to blow into your face on the return journey because as all cyclists know that is exactly what happens? Into your face going and then into your face coming back.

If so I hope you turn it down for yourselves and up for "Bradley".

Hope it’s a good cut, otherwise you might be nicknamed “the Craven Heifer”😂
Good job I spellchecked!🤣

We were lucky with the weather, so had a good garden visit with Callum, opened presents and had cake. Mummy had made him a very tasty chocolate cake with rainbow icing and a panda on top, at his request. Then we had time to hold Nathan.
A good day all round!

OH’s cycle cave lacks for nothing😂 I bought him a big industrial fan that sits in front of bike, and he has a jousting pole to dab at it when required.🤣🤣
Attic has two big velux and another window as well, so air flow is great. End wall is earmarked for a huge screen at some point, once it’s fully boarded and plastered. He has designs on one of our comfy chairs going up there, for footie viewing when screen isn’t being used for cycling. It’s high tech up, all sorts of gadgets linking this and that, music systems, etc.... There are plans to set up Hornby00 with trains around edges, bit like Barter Books. I have suggested some sort of pulley system for hauling the hound up there, he hates being parted from his Dad. Old Labrador legs can do normal stairs, but attic ones are a bit steeper, we’d never get him down again🤣

OH is tea powered. I have recently discovered Gin🤣

OH phoned her hairdresser as soon as the date of them possibly morning was given out. Although she hasn't yet got a time she is on the list for the opening day, with the time to be confirmed nearer the 12th.

DEBSC,
Er, er, Brian is back on his knees, grovelling, 'cos when he said snooker & Neil Robertson would be on telebox he really should have said from 22nd to 28th of March not the inaccurate and wrong " next Week " { Just think how much his hair will have grown in another seven days or so }

I've booked myself in for a virtual expreince this evening! Thought I'd have a go at watching The Dream from the RSC. I haven't gone the whole hog paying £10 to totally submerge myself but will be watching as a free viewer. RSC The Dream LINK
So at 6pm I'll be gone on a new journey.

What has Mother's Day come to I ask myself.....

Last night we joined in a Virtual Bingo night - organised by the Westmorland Show Society. It was a bit strange, being held on Zoom with the caller in an empty office room. I’ve never played Bingo since it was Housey Housey at family parties, and it took a while for my eyes to get tuned in.
My husband, as President, had to judge the best decorated glass (cocktail or otherwise). I don’t think he offended anyone. It was all in aid of RABI and raised nearly £1200.
We won a raffle prize - a barbecue! But until such time as we can collect don’t know anything about it. It might be a pack of sausages. Or a state of the art posh gas one.
And more excitement today - we went into town to collect our new glasses. Varivocals again, and so far much better than the outdated previous ones.

That's a decent contribution to RABI funds, Goldie, especially as it was done on line & nobody had the chance to do serious Arm Twisting
! Even the thought of a Prize pack of Cumbrian Spiced Sausages is nothing to be sneezed at

Perhaps one of those giant Cumberland sauages?!
We had one of those from our daughter's partner after he'd been up to visit his family, OH had to spend a long time rewinding it into manageable portions.

Sounds like it all went well Goldie, nice idea.

Ribbit, ribbit, ribbit !! That's the noise made, allegedly, only by some breed of American west coast frog which is used in loads of film sound tracks from there to eternity, but is not the sound you should be hearing JVB, unless you are running some form of international amphibian sanctuary.
Incidentally, the BBC Local News is warning folks in Cumbria to be aware of the Annual Frog, Toad and Newt mating migration taking place now. So always carry a nice gentle bucket to pop 'em into in order to help them find their way to remote puddles, pond and pools chasing after their Fancies
