Have a great time at Broadway, one of our favourite sites, though not been for a couple of years now. How long are you there for? Hope the Cotswold weather stays fine; we're off to Moorhampton tomorrow, not so very far away! smile

Helen, I hope your eldest son's move goes well.  Nice to have youngest son home for a few days.smile I hope you hear about your new caravan soon.  You must be getting impatient now.  I know I would.

Bakers2, Congratulations on your anniversary. A day in Southwold and Aldeburgh sounds lovely.  Enjoy your visit from son, partner and dog.  Yes wouldn't it be great if your daughter from NZ and her family could be with you as well.  Hopefully one of these days you will have a really lovely family reunion with all of you in the same place at the same time.

Kj, Enjoy River Breamish.  We stayed there for 10 days 2 years ago and loved the site and the surrounding area.  So much to see and do. Cragside is well worth a visit. Lovely house and grounds and very interesting as he was the first to install electricity. Lots of information and history.

We had a lovely day at Wicken Fen today.  First outing for the new puppy and she absolutely loved it.  She was very well behaved and received a lot of fuss and attention.  Four grandchildren with us which was lovely.  Weather very chilly and a few spots of rain but a good time was had by all.

I hope everyone else has a lovely Easter whether travelling or staying at home.laughing

Have a great time all you who are away this weekend. Me I'll be at home green with envy, I don't know what sin I committed but I'm stuck at home and I've been told on no uncertain terms that we are not going away until I've redecorated the kitchen. We went to buy the paint today and surprise surprise we didn't argue much about the colours

Thanks milliehull. It would/will be lovely to be altogether in the same place as a family one day, we're quite used it it now, but every now and then I get a bit wishful 😉. Must have been awful in the days before modern technology. Seriously considering dates for next trip as I type ☺.

Interested in your comments regarding Wicken Fen, glad you had a nice day, but did you take the dog with you? Curious as I'd assumed it would be dog free. Be great to visit when we come to see son they've not been but I wouldn't want to leave dog for too long as she's not used to it.

Yes Bakers2, dogs are very welcome at Wicken Fen, even in the visitor centre.  The only place we couldn't take her was into the café which is fair enough. It was one of the reasons we chose to go there.  She met lot of dogs and thought it was wonderful

Young man you just maybe cruisin for a bruisin with such comments 😲😲😲😉😉😉😉.

Maybe it didn't take you long because you didn't make a mess as you had a good idea who'd be clearing it up 😂😂. It's the monotony and repetitiveness and doesn't last long that wears you down 🙄

They drove the dumper truck in the main doors and turned round inside the bank so they could push the cash machine out into the open so they have all but destroyed entire bank!!! Where the bank, and Waitrose, are situated is part of a large ongoing development so I assume the dumper came from nearby? The same bank had a similar incident about a year ago so no doubt will be looking at a more secure arrangement in future?

cool Lovely sunny and warm day here on the I.o.W ,slight breeze though.Arrived 14.00 hrs.Drove over to Brading for an evening meal in the "Kinges Well" (yes that's how it's spelled)

Local info' ---the floating bridge/chain ferry from East Cowes to Cowes,is out of action until end of May or maybe even into June !! SO,that means if you want to drive to Cowes, you have to go the long way round via Newport. There is a small passenger launch BUT,but that finishes at 22.00hrs.SO,so if you leave it late in town !!  !!  YOU'RE STUCK !!  !!surprised.

Not like washing clothes in days of yore when women had dolly tubs, wash boards & possers ........ now they just open the door, put the clothes in & turn it on wink

I got a phone call in the afternoon from Dominos to invite me to an interview next Tuesday for a delivery driver job.

We went for a walk from the club site up Highdown Hill to Highdown Gardens. We had ideal weather for it. A cool breeze with plenty of sunshine. There were lots of Spring flowers including bluebells and trees in full blossom.

We've just had breakfast of Muesli followed by bacon with duck eggs. It's a lovely, sunny morning here at The Northbrook Farm Club site. There are a lot more caravans and families with children here than when we first arrived at the opening of the season.

Bright and sun breaking through low cloud here on I.o.W.Further to my last post 'chainferry/floating bridge' ,,,the delay has been caused by slipway/landing stage modifications ,due to a new vessel being built for the crossing.Number 'six'.A larger longer vessel ,which has yet to be sanctioned by the harbour master and the MCA.

Glorious sunshine here again but slightly cooler. Spending sometime altering shop bought clothes to a better fit. One down one to go. Made my mind up about knitting granddaughter jumper I fell in love with in our local shop. Going to be pricey around £22 including the pattern 😯 so I had to be sure! But we have 2nd one coming behind. Next decision is size cos it will be for this time next year for their winter. They are fully braced for cyclone Cook but not in the evacuating areas thankfully.

Oops sunshine and clouds now please don't send your clouds this way 😉

We've just been to CAB about the dinner2go situation. The CAB went through the checklist on the computer about what constitutes self-employment and employment and said that it looks more of a case of my being employed by them. They said the case would need to go through a tribunal for the judge to decide and I would need to claim for minimum pay rates for the time that I was working for them.

Lovely view but the clouds look a bit threatening. Are you spreading the cows own slurry? Nothing like closing the circle 😂.

I can't decide whether I'm envious or not of those heading off.  Just walked to Lidl and the traffic is queuing 🙁 so I'm happy not to be sitting in any, but I am getting more than ready for another trip. Booked this morning for 24th, first clear run available - quite prepared to see what was on offer at the CL delighted available for date we want! 😆

Whilst up at the Baltic last week the farmers were in full swing slurry spreading unfortunately the farmer behind the campsite tuns of the stuff right over where 22 breeding pairs of Sky Larks were trying to set up home.  Don't think any adult birds would be harmed but if eggs had already been laid then they will all be destroyed.

What other slurry would we use? It has to go somewhere! And any inputs have to be organic.
