Sorry to read this, Richard & Ros, due to our recent family losses I feel much the same, hope you'll be able to have a good get together later on to share things more easily.

Have to venture out into the great unknown in a minute to pick up my meds from the Pharmacy. At least it's sunny here so if I have to stand outside for a while I can enjoy the warmth.

Horrible experience for you RandR. I can understand when you say it was weird. Just spoke to my cousin who has to attend her MiL funeral soon. It looks like there will be just the three of them, Cousin, Hubby and Son. No way to send off someone who was 92

Our community bench, which has items of food for the less fortunate and in these times books, DVDs games etc, was stripped bare twice this week by the same vehicle, apparently a fairly new BMW ๐Ÿ˜ค. Guy who organised it outside his house keeps a good eye on things, and last night had a wander round locally, located the vehicle and told the driver that it wasn't acceptable. He's still here to tell the tale ๐Ÿ˜‰. Some folks will abuse anything!

That's terrible but sadly its what can happen. Our Larder was built by a local joiner, it sits right outside the local shop. The shop owner opens it in a morning and locks it back up at night.

My sister was telling me of her across the road neighbour, they are on the vulnerable list so have been claiming the free food parcel once a week, despite going out to the shops. One of them is still working. To top it all one of their children came to visit and left with said box of food. As you said some folks will abuse anything.

RichardandRos I feel for you it must be so difficult for you. Likewise Wherenext it's no way to send someone who was very loved. Thinking of your daughter and partner brue and you too. ๐Ÿ˜ข. Strange days altogether! Never thought I'd be glad we lost mum when we did, very very strange!

ABM I know what you mean about dressing for the ocassion ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ. One can put one's pjs on after a shower having finished in the garden and be certain, unless its Thursday ๐Ÿ˜‰ you won't be caught in them!

I feel very jumpy/fidgety/unsettled don't know if it's just today or slowly mounting up??

Delivery arrived, son rang - we have nothing all day every day WHY when there is a small diversion does something else have to happen at the same time? Still kept OH out of my hair whilst I wiped it and hid the treats ๐Ÿ˜€. Sorted friends shopping too, theirs all came, but sliced rather than unsliced bread - did check I hadn't ordered sliced, but they have bread! Himself's chocolate digestive nothing suitable as substitute ๐Ÿ˜ฑ and frosties substitute of shreddies, so they went back and will be added to friends order she has secured a slot ๐Ÿ˜€, so we now have a group of 3 where we can mix and match ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿ˜. Driver did say cereals are difficult to secure.qq

Still no rain here, but distraught blackbird, magpie raided its nest ๐Ÿ˜ข๐Ÿ˜ข, son of friends who just collected their share of the delivery said their son had sparrowhawk eating sparrow in their lawn. Son filmed it - DIL in saying I can't watch it.

I might have to find something special to wear to put ours out too......they are reinstating some recycling  collections!

This week will be plastic, cans and glass, then in 2 weeks time the paper and card, and then 2 weeks after that BOTH bins.  laughing

Unfortunately no word on the garden waste, and we now have 3 full garden bins.   surprised

Finished the gutters, or at least as much as I plan to do.  Getting too old for this, I think next time we will have to pay someone else to do it.

Big day tomorrow, Mrs One receives her materials for the Norfolk scrub.  Think sheโ€™s going to concentrate on bags.  After use of the scrub the user puts them in the bag and then the whole lot is washed.

Last night my niece arrange a social distancing disco ๐Ÿ’ƒ on the road where she lives.  She raised ยฃ1700.00 for charity

The day started off very badly, with the news that our next door neighbour was rushed into hospital in the early hours after suffering another heart attack. Apparently he has a cancerous tumour growing next to his heart. His poor wife couldnโ€™t go in the ambulance with him nor is she allowed to visit, due to the restrictions.

Each morning at 11:00 we have Aerobic sessions in the street for about half an hour, with loud dance music playing. I felt it was not appropriate under the circumstances but after speaking to the lady next door she wanted us to carry on as normal as she knows how we all look forward to it and it boosts morale.

    Take care everyone.

So sorry to hear this neveramsure. It must be so difficult for his wife not to be able to go with her husband or to see him. What a wonderful gesture for her to suggest you all go on with your aerobic session. Very brave of her.

OP, well done to your OH. A friend of mine has applied to do the same but not heard anything yet. Her sister who lives ekdewhere is making the bags.

After hearing of some of you missing ones family I must say that we are fortunate in a way as both our son and daughter live a longish distance from us so we rarely see them at the best of times, although we do chat frequently on the phone with them, even more so since the lockdown. When it's all over we will certainly go and meet up with them then.

It has been a much Warner and sunnier day today, and still no rain. With most of the jobs done round the house I was able eventually to get out for a ride on my bike. Did about 12 mils I guess and am sure I'll feel the effects or the ride in the morning. As rain is finally here dye to arrive up here on Wednesday I think that I'll fit in another ride tomorrow.

Lovely clear sky tonight, so super view of the crescent Moon and Venus. Tried for a photo but no much success.

    Bakers2,

Every few days , try your jeans on just to make sure they fit.

Pyjamas will have you believing that all is well in the kingdom.

Yes I've heard the advise to air the contents of your wardrobe regularly during this time as shrinkage occurs if unattended!

Nelliethehooker lovely photo thank you. No clear sky here, no rain either yet, its desperately needed but will it know when enough has been delivered?

Oneputt I take it Mrs Oneputt decided against scrubs?? Well done to your niece on fundraising. For more scrubs?

Out of interest will they eventually receive enough scrubs do you think? Seems they are bring churned out and accepted unlike the PPE ๐Ÿ˜‰

Neveramsure sad news about your neighbour, distressing for each party under normal circumstances, but exacerbated in these times. Love the idea of community aerobics sounds like fun. A kind gesture to offer to cancel and that offer refused, at least the street are aware of the situation.

Not sure yet what material she will receive but as her sewing machine is an old Singer I think bags will be her preference.  Last time I checked in Norfolk there were over 600 volunteers with another 200 being processed.  ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

A horrible cold, wet morning here - got thoroughly drenched walking the dogs this morning (impossible to use an umbrella with the two of them!) frown But hopefully good for the grass seed I put down to restore patches of the lawn which Ralph has redesigned! wink

If anyone is stuck for something to do indoors over coffee, I've put a little quiz on the trivia section, one I've used on quiz nights before now - good luck if you decide to have a go. smile

He โ€œfellโ€ into the pond cascade in our Park yesterday, had a right old swim around until we could get him out. Things were a tad โ€œswampyโ€™ until he dried out, luckily he enjoys sunbathing! Doesnโ€™t half make us laugh most days๐Ÿ˜‚

Good steady rain started soon after 5am I presume judging by the amount in our waterbutt. Wasn't raining when I went to the bathroom ๐Ÿ˜‰. Still steady but heavier about 1130, you can almost hear the ground sigh.

Thanks for the quiz Moulsey I'll see if I can fit it in. I think jobs expand to fit the time!

Just tidied our freezer, we should be ok for several weeks, even got plenty of leftovers to make quick dinners ๐Ÿ˜€.

Have had left side headache, had to take paracetomol last evening but not had any more. Going down left side, eye, ear, teeth unsettled and throat like barbed wire. Just taking it slowly, or even slower ๐Ÿ˜‰, today.

Takethedogalong I love the dog. Grand dog lives water, smellie the better! Son said she needed 2 baths the other day, dead deer to roll in in the morning, fox poi later. I hope ours doesnt get a liking for some of her perfume choices ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

Hoping to tidy a couple of shelves, the ones I cant reach in OH wardrobe in a mo, might even get him to part with office shirts which wont fit!  - 14 years since they were needed ๐Ÿ˜ฑ there must be more. Seize the opportunity ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚.

    Stay safe folks

That made me chuckle TTDA.  Meg does that every morning on the beach - just loves to have a good old scratch - especially in the pebbles! She's amused quite a few people walking by on the prom with her anticssmile
