Beautiful Goldie. By the way, I meant to ask you about Odyssey your Bull. Not quite sure what breed he is, he looks a magnificent beastie!

Morning all,  Just had a quick top - up of birds feeders in the damp Cheshire weather so now I'm spending five mins on here and trying to get my paws warm again whilst watching my toothbrush charging smile.

Think there might be a " Cumberland 300 " promoted in the near future == well, about 48 hours after the England RFU team get home  --  Its called 'PENANCE'  I believe  !!   Two laps minimum per week per player wink

He’s a Dairy Shorthorn. He is registered as Strickley Odyssey. We chose the name as his official tag number is 2001.

Better day today weather wise after yesterday's very wet afternoon and evening.

Went for a drive yesterday afternoon to Ulverston then onto Barrow,  shame the weather was so bad as the coastal part of the drive could have been lovely.

We've been to the lakes and Cumbria a fair few times most of it in the rainfrown once at Dockray Meadow we did have great weather for 4 days. We keep trying different locations which we have enjoyed but it does make us appreciate that 'our' weather back home isn't as bad as we think it is laughing

    Watched rugby this morning frown

Going out after lunch to Grange over sands for a walk around.

Wind and rain here, got very wet taking visiting dog out (here for the day..I think?) He doesn't like rain so that was two of us trudging against the elements with the added smell of slurry filling our nostrils. wink

Going to have a look at some prints this weekend being auctioned for Somerset Wildlife. Julia Manning PRINTS Don't think I'll be buying any as I already have some but it will be good to see the studio etc.

Makes a change from music and theatre. But it's back to music on Nov 5th as we're going to here Craig Ogden play his guitar. I can't imagine how this will work out and I hope the theatre is well sound proofed!! 🎵

Dry here today, but dull.  DD and SIL came here this morning and helped empty the last bits out of the greenhouse, then SIL went home to do some school stuff while DD and I , after lunch, are off back out to start dismantling the greenhouse itself.

I think it will need 3 of us to carry the panels down as they are large. The roof and the sides come apart to give a total of 8 sections, while the ends are in one piece.  Might get it done tomorrow if the rain stays away.

Fireworks last night were noisy but very good, despite it being a little wet at times.  Callum was enthralled, but refused to wear his ear defenders, which his Mum was not best pleased with!

What a beautiful breed, didn’t know much about them but seems they are very much a North of England breed? Great name as well! We enjoy staying on lots of farms, always interested in the livestock, and what’s going on. Thanks for that.

Started off sunney this morning but then went down hill quickly and has been very windy with plenty of really heavy showers, the fire works and display we were going to has been cancelled , as we understand have several others in the area, the display we were going to has been re scheduled to take place next year on VE Day the 8th May 2020

Its stayed dry here so far today smile had a nice walk along the promenade at Grange over Sands. Didn't see your message Millie until we got back  so no pies frown I did get 10 dwarf wallflower plants though for £2.85 smile very happy with that as they were £6.99 for 4 up our way. Really good sturdy plants from an independent garden shop, will have to look after them now until we get home.

Thinking of cutting across to Norfolk next week probably stopping off at Poolsbrook for a couple of nights on the way. We've been before but not for awhile, I was brought up in Worksop so revisiting the area.

Weather doesn't look good for anywhere next week frown

Really helping us make up our minds that UK at this time of year is a wash out cry

We did not get any dismantling of the GH done as the rain started, so it will be next weekend, weather permitting, now.

Going to DD's tomorrow to plan work in her utility room

It’s rained here all day. We watched the rugby this morning.😕 Sad but glad we got through to the final. Looking forward to a break in Norfolk next week. The weather doesn’t look promising but we’re not at work so that’s all that counts.

Pity we're not home or you could have called in for a cuppa on your way round Furness yesterday, TG.

Another CL to think about on your trip home is Brookfields at Leyburn. Not in the SD but is on the web site. I know you'd like it.

As it was a dry sunny morning OH did some washing while I watched the Rugby.😢 After lunch we walked over the fields and into Leyburn. Got back to the van just before it started to rain. At least we've not had any of the high winds that the South have experienced.

It’s usually far dryer once you get over Pennines, but this year admittedly has been memorable for wet weather. First couple of years we had our MH, we toured all year and the Autumn and Winter months were dryer than the Summer.

Hope you get something decent in Norfolk. Blickling House (NT) is open, but I think Felbrigg might be closed now, along with Holkham. If you get into Burnham Market, there are a few nice shops, including a superb deli, and a wonderful shop full of fabulous hats and accessories, including men’s stuff. They sell some nice bags as well, I got a Troop shoulder bag that I have practically worn out. Muckleborough Museum is good, but it might be a bit tame for you!😁

Tammygirl, Pensthorpe Nature Reserve near Fakenham is well worth a visit as is RSPB Titchwell. I can recommend The Rose and Crown at Snettisham for a good meal and there are some nice walks on the Sandringham Estate. Sandringham church is lovely as well.

Now its time to get back to doing what I should have been doing earlier  but just had a peep out over the estate and, behold, the feeders are empty again  !!  Still they'll have to wait at least till MY next feed so there  yell.

    Hope you all are warm dry, healthy & happy { as much as can be anyway coolsmile }

Had a nice day, Autumn weather cheered up a bit and the colours look good. Lunch out with daughter on the A37 near Shepton Mallet, John Thorners "den" café (well known for their meat and pies.) Good place to stop if you're heading south on this route. Farm shop there too. Then we went on to the Julia Manning print exhibition which was in her studio so we could see how they were made etc. Some lovely prints of wild life on Skokholm island where she stays to observe the birds etc. smile

Just got back from a week long break in North Norfolk. Four days at Seacroft and three at Sandringham. Pretty decent weather whilst at Cromer,if a bit chilly, but very wet whilst at Sandringham which didn't encourage us to do much! However we did make full use of our time at Seacroft. This site offers lots to do in the immediate area especially if you don't want to take your vehicle off site. Despite that for the first time ever we took the motorhome off site to make a visit. We only went as far as Felbrigg Hall but I can see this as being a blueprint for the future. On the way home there seemed to be traffic everywhere, where is everyone going on a cold and damp day!!!

Will be up in North Norfolk next weekend, unfortunately not at Barleywood as it’s full.  Going to try a new to us CL about 3 miles from Wells next Sea.

Lovely day today, went to daughters to pass on birthday pressies, brother(hi# birthday as well) went with us as well so it’s the first time in 30 odd years that both been together to celebrate their birthdays.

Had a walk around Lound lakes and spotted a Ring Ouzel and Yellow Browed Warbler
