Hi everyone, We're thinking of booking a trip to Daleacres Club Campsite later in the year and I wondered if anyone had any tips and recommendations for a stay here? We're thinking of visiting Port Lympne and the beaches look nice too. Any good cycle routes nearby? Any recommendations appreciated. Many thanks. 🙂
Well it’s that time of year again when we are encouraged to manage our lawns, meadows and grassland slightly differently. It’s not about being lazy and abstaining from ground work completely, it’s about allowing, for a relatively short period in the year, some carefully chosen areas of grassland to produce what nature…
Both last year and this ,several sites that boasted well used site shops have closed them, they now only sell Toilet fluid ! Even that essential 6kg Calor Gas is no longer sold ! (That is VERY inconvenient and 'unfriendly'). If the Sites were in the outskirts of large towns or even Villages that would be acceptable and…
We are planning a long trip through Scotland, starting just south of Edinburgh, ultimate aim to get north of Inverness hoping to go via Glencoe if the roads are OK, but as we have a twin axle caravan towed by a Vito we don't want to get onto difficult roads so any advice is appreciated!
We've had a number of discussions in the past about the North Coast 500, also known as the NC500, so I thought it would be good opportunity to have one main discussion where people can share their recommendations or ask any questions they may have if planning this incredible route. Some campsites you might want to consider…
Hey everyone! 👋 We're going to be staying at the Hillhead Club Campsite over the holidays and are looking for recommendations for some fun local days out. We were thinking of checking out Paignton Zoo - has anyone been and what did you think? Also, if you have any other suggestions for great places to visit in the area,…
Looking to book 10 days away in July - literally anywhere in the UK but it needs to be easy walk to the beach (and a dog friendly beach), easy walk to pubs, shops. Ie we don't want to have to take the camper every time we go somewhere…. Any suggestions…🙏… thanks
Hi everyone, Here is a list of (Full) Serviced pitches on Caravan and Motorhome Club (CAMC) and Affiliated Sites (AS). For those members who which to guarantee a hardstanding or grass pitch, try a hardstanding only, or grass only site - see HERE. The sites in Italics are Affiliated Sites - these pitches cannot be booked on…
Some of us regularly use only fully serviced pitches due to health issues or for convenience. The difficulty has always been easily locating them without going through pages and pages of the site book. Then David produced his list that has become a sticky and it has eased the difficulties. However, in this month's magazine…
I am deeply shocked at looking to go away for a few days only to find pitches are over £50 per night. This sort of charge will totally price many out of the club. I was only looking at a normal hard standing pitch, not serviced. I know running costs have gone up, but independent sites are not charging anything like this…
