Campsite recommendations!
Looking to book 10 days away in July - literally anywhere in the UK but it needs to be easy walk to the beach (and a dog friendly beach), easy walk to pubs, shops. Ie we don't want to have to take the camper every time we go somewhere…. Any suggestions…🙏… thanks

Three sites next to the beach we have been to is Whitehouse beach in Suffolk and New England Bay in Scotland, and Garlieston again in Scotland.

II guess the club's Southport site would fit the bill, especially if you like staying on a car park!!

As you have a campervan or smallish motorhome then Dennis Cove at Padstow Cornwall fits the bill. Access with huge caravans not possible.
Town, plus pubs, plus shops, plus Rick Stein on the doorstep, and off road cycle trail too. Beach is 15 minutes walk down tne estuary, or ride across the little passenger ferry across the water to Rock.
But why am I writing this? With such a location they will surely be full in July

We have a few Club Campsites that might suit you. One that springs to mind is Brighton Club Campsite as that has some lovely walks on the South Downs and lots of beaches nearby. Also the Brighton Marina is just a short distance away.

@ThreeHappyCampers you could take a look at Yellowcraig Club Site, which is on the East Coast of Scotland, the Site is actually on the edge of the Firth of Forth, and sits behind the sand dunes. It’s a beautiful location, easy stroll onto a dog friendly, very beautiful beach. Nearest village is around half a mile away, Dirleton, which has a fairy tale castle and gardens, it did have a pub on our last visit, and I am sure there is a shop not far away. You can get a bus into North Berwick, a really nice town full of interest, eateries, places of interest, and, you can get the local train right into Edinburgh. It’s possible to walk along the beach from the site into North Berwick, and the other way along the beach towards Gullane and further on. Cycling is good as well. The whole area around is very nice, plenty to see and do, so if you stock up with a few meals, you don’t have to go out off site every day. It will be busy during Scottish school holidays, it’s a popular site.

Caerfai Farm campsite is fab, dogs allowed on the beach there and you're on the coast path for lovely walks in both directions. The walk to St Davids is about 15-18 minutes for pubs, supermarket, art gallery etc. It's suitable for campervans and small MHs, it has EHU, but no caravans or hardstandings. The Caerfai Bay Caravan site nearby does take caravans and big MHs.0

You could do worse than this campsite on the North Norfolk coast. Local shops, beaches, pubs plus a coastal bus service that stops virtually outside the site to take you to other wonderful beach areas like Wells-next-the-Sea or Cromer. Plenty to do in the area.

Thanks for all your ideas.
We have gone with splitting the holiday between two sites, Yellowcraig and Stonehaven.
Will hopefully visit the other suggestions another time!0
