Daleacres Club Campsite in Kent

Hi everyone,
We're thinking of booking a trip to Daleacres Club Campsite later in the year and I wondered if anyone had any tips and recommendations for a stay here? We're thinking of visiting Port Lympne and the beaches look nice too. Any good cycle routes nearby?
Any recommendations appreciated.
Many thanks. π

Donβt forget to take a ride on the Romney Hythe and Dymchuch railway and alight at the end for lunch.0

When I stayed at Daleacres I cycled to Greatstone on Sea. It is about a 9 mile ride, almost completely flat and that part of it on roads is not too busy. From the site I turned right and then down Donkey Street and Burmarsh Road to the main A259. As I recall it, I did not have to cycle on the A259, but found a way through from there to the path along the sea wall, but I cannot exaclty remember the route. Anyway you can continue on the sea wall path right as far as Littlestone and then there's a sea front road to Greatstone. If you're really energetic you can carry on to Dungeness.
It might be a bit much for young children, but it's a lovely ride.
As someone has said the RHDR is really worth a visit - a must if you're in the area.
I used to stay at Greatstone as a boy, every Easter, so it has a special place in my heart. The beach and the sand dunes are wonderful - if the weather is good.1 -
Re Daleacres Rowenna
You can actually see some of the animals, from the site approach road,it is on your right as you turn into the site, allow a whole day for a visit, and the safari bus is a must.
Dymchurch is nearby for a bucket and spade day,but one town to visit is Rye with its independent shops and plenty of history, your son may get fed up walking a town but there are plenty of ice cream shops for a bribe.
The RHDR is a nice day out as well, but it is a long time since we did this. You actually cross the line,as you turn off the A259.
Enjoy Daleacres Ro

We've just come back from their, and theres so much to do and see.
Dungeness is stunning, and a walk up to the top of the lighthouse is a must. Its opposite the RHDR station, so you can dovetail the two. You might get a glimpse of the sound mirrors if you drive along the front at Greatstone, but they are difficult to get to.
Rye is also a lovely place.
Dymchurch has a Martello Tower. Its only open between 2pm and 4pm on saturdays, but worth a visit.
If Castles are your thing, then join English Heritage and visit Walmer Castle, Deal Castle and Dover Castle. Dover is great as you also have the tunnels where Operation Dynamo, the evacuation from Dunkerque, was organised.
In Hythe you have the Military Canal that is 30 odd miles long. Lots of places to walk, and all on one level.
Enjoy.
