@cyberyacht - Perhaps one option might be to use the same password etc for CT and the main site? Not as 'secure' and it's your choice..... not recommending this, but just suggesting it as a possible option??

You need to read earlier posts, CY. It’s two logins now.

If you use google it should remember both for you if you re-type it in for the main site as they are two different websites. Another way round (mentioned above by DSB and before I think) is to have the same password for both?
My devices (linked through Google) have no trouble remembering which site is which.
I don't understand though not being able to book a site, why not simply log in with your pervious password?

I had similar problems, the keychain on my pad overwrote my existing password with the new one for CT, although I don’t remember having to put my membership number in as part of the process. As the overwritten password was one of those very complicated Apple created ones I had no idea what it was. I therefore requested a password reset and made the booking site one the same as CT. Again it’s a complicated Apple one, therefore I am not overly concerned about both being the same.

@cyberyacht Firstly, good to see you posting on here again - you don't seem to have been active for ages and I was beginning to wonder what had happened to you!
Even though I was involved with the trial, I had horrendous problems logging into the live version when it first appeared. I use Dashlane password manager which remembers all of my 200 or so different and complex passwords and auto-fills the details when required.I haven't a clue what any of them are - I just let Dashlane manage it for me. Because my log-in was the same for both the main site and CT (email address) it was impossible to differentiate between the two options Dashlane offered me and I invariably got the wrong one, leading to all sorts of confusion and inability to log in to either. Eventually, I found a way around it. By going onto the main Dashlane website, I was able to change the name of each log in - without actually changing the log in details themselves. I called one "CAMC log in" (main site) and the other "CT". That way, I was able to select the correct one each time and problem solved. I don't know how this equates to using Google, but it might give you an idea.
The other thing is that I don't actually use two passwords. If I log into the main site and then go CT/ Discussions - I arrive at this site and I am already logged in. Possibly that's because I have chosen the option to remain logged in, on the CT site. (Not sure how I did that, though!).
I'm using an iMac desktop and a Macbook Air laptop running the latest OS, each will allow.
I find this new site light years ahead of the old one - much faster - better features (especially re photos). Yes, there are some quirks - but with practice you soon get used to them. Hope you persevere. I certainly miss your pithy comments!

@cyberyacht hello, glad to hear from you. Yes, this is rather different, and had you been around a little earlier, you would have got lots of help navigating around and finding out the quickest and best ways to do things, but help is still here if you need it, so hopefully you will stick around. I think most of us have had to ask for help one way or another, but with use, this is so much better in many ways in terms of what you can do, and how you can get to various threads. Meantime, good to hear from you, and all the best.

@DSB @Takethedogalong @Tinwheeler @Cornersteady
Back home again and trying CT on Chrome with success! Tried the @ with 4 different names, no problems with any of them. Typing is easier too without the duplicated letters, so in my case it would seem that Firefox was/is the culprit.
Thanks again to all who posted with suggestions on how to sort the problems out 👍️

Yep, we suspected the browser from early on. Chrome is generally a good choice for anything CAMC related. Happy to have helped and glad you're sorted.

@DSB it looks as if you have just managed to produce another problem, from your post "bkttomvkf" ! 😆 It is easy enough to understand but should not really be happening.

Bkttomvkf.....
To be fair, this is down to me, @nelliethehooker. My hands/fingers are quite large... (a long story... but it's left from an historical medical condition now clinically cured 😃). Notice that in both cases the 'k' is just below the 'o' on the keyboard, and the 'v' is just above the space bar... making 'bottom of'... not a software problem. 👍
David... also frequently typed as Savid!! - usually noticed and edited... 😃

Pervious? Pervious!! How dare you, sir. I demand satisfaction. My Second will attend upon you. Aquarolls at ten paces I think.

Fair enough, but I'll be on a service pitch with unlimited water.

Ooops - the old @cyberyacht is back!!😀

@Rowena I am still having lots of problems trying to enter connections to certain members (see my new post in the Entertainment section), and the jumping back of the curser, and so the doubling up letters, when starting a post or a new paragraph. Using my Kindle with Silk Browser.

I am finding it irritating that new posts are not labelled as such. Yes the thread has a new “ sticker” but the posts are just there, no I’d to say new. So if there are a number of new posts it is difficult to find the first new one. I have to search for the date which isn’t hugely obvious in a cluttered page. I am sure the old forum labelled individual posts as new.

The previous incarnation labelled threads as new on the front page, @Hja. This version takes you to the first unread post although it isn’t always spot on but it certainly takes you to the last page with unread posts.

Just like to say how useful I am finding the @ plus user name command. I don't know about anyone else but I am finding I am less likely to quote a previous post and just highlight the poster. Very clever.

…..and @DavidKlyne it increases the chance of the previous poster seeing the reply😄

Absolutely agree @DavidKlyne and @Tinwheeler
David.

Point proved😀

G rest Great when it works properly, but most annoying when it keeps showing 5 members who have a similar starting letter but are not the one one wants to reference.
HHa Hate this doubling up of this first letter or other unwanted letters too, and especially when trying to change it I keep getting the same thing happening!

I have to type as far as 'th' to find you @nelliethehooker because there are numerous members sharing the first few letters.
1 -
@nelliethehooker and @Tinwheeler ....
I only have to type as far as 'nelliet'.... then you just need to click on the correct person and the link/ tag come up in red. ..

The direct reply @ makes it easy to respond to a particular post if you haven’t been around for a few days as well.
@nelliethehooker sorry to hear you are still having problems. I can’t help thinking it might be because you are using a Kindle though. Nothing wrong with this, but it’s possibly a rarer choice of device. Hope it gets sorted for you.

@nelliethehooker I can't think of anyway round not listing all the members beginning with one's starting letter and then typing in the rest of the letters till you get the poster you want, and this happens all the time in other places where you have to input a name. Just out of interest at my doctors one has to start with date of birth which might speed things up somewhat, especially for older folk like myself, then first letter of surname and so on.
However the more you type in to find your name the more it remembers for the next time to pinpoint you, as in the yellow in the photo below.
I think your problem is do with using a Kindle as I believe those devices by Amazon don't 'support' Chrome in some way. For that reason I opted not to get a Fire tablet but a Samsung.
