A great post Rocky, thanks for sharing your morning dog walk and it’s always a bonus to hear about the varied wildlife that you are fortunate enough to have in your area.cool

PS. I now also have a multi-fuel stove fitted and it is very much appreciated by our Lurcher.laughing

This was the scene in our house a few years ago, no chance of any human getting close to fire🤣 Lounge with a real flame gas fire. Now Choccy is on his own, he has a new rug in front of log burner every Christmas.❤️

Good to read another story of your morning dog walking exploits, Rocky. You paint a vivid image with your words - the descriptions of the frost and ice balls make me shiver🥶. Great sighting of the deer👍🏻.

Thank you for another lovely little snap shot Rocky. I can’t get out that often with our pooch on his walks at the moment, but they have become more precious when I can. He’s thirteen now, but still loves a slow amble around, in and out of his chariot when he needs a rest. Like a pup when he meets other dogs though, daft old lad.😁

He’s part of you 2 TDA, your care gives him more time to enjoy his later years-good age too which is more proof of his care over the years. Long may his Ben-Hur phase continue👍🏻😊

🤣 Yes, it’s known as the “Chariot of Fur”😁 He seems to be doing fine at the moment, stable and still full of fun. Old dog routines have kicked in a bit now, but he still loves it away in MH. Vets didn’t expect him to get much past 10 to be honest because of his joint issues, but he plods along, with the odd mad moment. Won’t swim any more now though, but that might be his eyes and a bit of uncertainty more than his joints. Still loves water though.

The old boy is doing well, TDA. A credit to your care and his own happy attitude👍🏻😀

He has to be the most spoilt dog we have ever owned, courtesy of OH, who of course now spends all day with him. He bought him a bicycle wheel holder (the sort you carry spare bike wheels in) for his chariot, which folds up and wheels store for carrying in MH. He goes everywhere with OH, which has been a bit hard when OH has had to go into hospital. I resorted to doing videos for them both🤣

We tried Cassie in as 'chariot' as she aged and became unsteady on her feet, unfortunately she wouldn't take to it and it stressed her out. Now sadly she has no need of it, but we tried to get her out of the house as often as possible, even to lifting her into the car and just taking her to look out at familiar places.
