Server Errors

CT seems to run better at quieter times of the day when less people are using the website
Is it possible that with the club trying to make the new booking system work along side the present system it is having a bigger effect on CT than in the past whenever it gets more people trying to use the website?

Before I bought this new iPad just over a year ago, my old one was often crashing and hanging up, needing a hard reset. Basically it just didn’t have the memory or enough resources to deal with things, some 8 years after it was made. Now it just has the granddaughters Cbeebies stories on it, and only because they maintain an old version of the App. I assume the CT section of the servers is in the same state of Obsolescence.

Although it would cost more I would have thought it would be to the advantage of the Club to run Club Together on a separate server to ease pressure on the main website. You could still provide links to the main website. Looking at the C&CC Forum it seems to be a totally different entity. There is no way of linking to the main website. I am not holding that forum up as a good example as CT is a much better forum when it works!

I would not have thought it could have gotten any worse, but it has. It was impossible for me to get into yesterday evening after 3 attempts. This year will be my leaving year, so frustrating now, I find the club in general. I don't suppose this will bother the club as part of the problem is the nonchalant attitude towards it's members.

I received a reply to my e-mail and it was a copy of the message posted earlier saying basically they are working on it. I replied:-
"May I politely suggest that a "banner" across the homepage be set up to draw members attention to this issue and your efforts to resolve it.
At present the long awaited reply is buried in a thread that some members may not access, why would they if attempting to book a site, a crossing etc."

I usually access the site & CT in the evening, about 8pm and it is often fine, although a bit slow.
This evening however, it wouldn't even let me log into the site from the home page. I know you can get onto CT without logging in - wouldnt do that either.
Obviously from this post I can now access.

It was yesterday evening as well, but then all of a sudden hit a brick wall😂 and it took several minutes to load a thread and a considerable time to load a site page also. Perhaps they are feeding the hamsters stimulants and everything is fine until they burn out.

So, we are fast approaching one month since Rowenna's original post yet matters are no further forward.
I have, over the last few days, been unable to even sign in to the club website never mind CT. It can be soooooo sloooow that you lose the will to carry on trying to post if you get access.
It is by a country mile the worst, most inefficient website that I have accessed or tried to access since the last time it was this bad. Nothing seems to have been done in the last month to rectify what can only be described as a dreadful advertisement for the CAMC. The club don't even seem to be embarrassed about it and from the messages I've seen half of the staff don't even know there is a problem.

Not sure if this point is relevant to our problems BUT :--
I have recently been posting at different points of the day and I'm sure that this forum actually grinds almost to a halt for about ten (10 ) minutes after the hour, certainly after 10 p.m. but it has affected me on my occasional forays over the lunch ( so nearly said Lynch ) period.

It's been painful today, as it has been for the last few days, perhaps a week or so. Very occasionally I can get in to CT quite quickly but other times it just doesn't connect and eventually goes to "server error" message. Twice I've not even been able to log in. I've never experienced any other website with so many problems that just don't seem to improve. A very poor advertisement for the club.

Very slow tonight, changing from one list to another, and then a "server error" message.!!

Yep, it’s still bad. Very hit and miss. I feel for the CL owners, I have just tried to look up a few and it’s buffering like mad.

I keep getting server error messages this morning.

Keep getting server errors when clicking on CT; got in by clicking on My Profile (within CT, not the main My Profile for membership etc).
Further up thread WN makes the point that this thread was started nearly a month ago and there is no improvement at all; well, it's a month tomorrow, nearly 300 posts and we're still experiencing the same problems. Not putting CAMC in the best light, far from it. I don't believe that in the space of a month problems such as these couldn't have been solved by any IT dept.

Seems to me click on anything to do with money and it opens almost instantaneously

Having waited an age to get in, another age to log back in, it has now eaten my latest post, gone who knows where🤷♀️ I wait with baited breath to see what happens when, if, the new booking and deposit scheme goes live. It doesn’t fill one with confidence……….

I have reported your post with the following comments
See explanation in the post. By the time you read this it will be at least 2 full working weeks since Rowena replied. As can be gathered by continuing posts using the site is still an issue. Not just CT.
So slow, it starts - if you're lucky, then hangs, either eventually connecting or giving an internal server error. DIRE.
Maybe, just maybe, we will get another post..............

I would think the CT is just part of Rowena job ,and she has reported on here when she has any up to date information ,,it is the IT departments lack of updates that is what is frustrating, I would think as much if not more than the users
