80percent of hospital admissions are unvacinated according to reports in the majority of hospitals in the whole of the UK
But one thing that is not said is that many unvacinated were until very recently not eligible for the vaccine and are it seems the latest variant attacks much younger of the population , as the majority of us older have had our third jab

Maybe we should petition the Govt to vaccinate Dogs, the oldest ones first👍🏻😊

I know two, one related, that have died from it, despite hospitalisation.
In addition, one school aged grandchild, felt ill, tested positive, everyone in the household positive too after 3 days. After 6 months one of them still cannot taste nor smell.
One of our children, now in their 40s, works in a customer facing roll and also caught it recently too, again it spread to other household members, all still unwell and have to isolate until Christmas day.

My daughter, her husband and both children caught it a year ago. DIL, a head teacher, tested positive last week. In some ways, I'm surprised she has avoided it for so long. Husband is also a teacher so it is a bit "luck of the draw". I'm just out of quarantine following a 'close contact'.

Too many stories like that….long Covid is what I fear the most. Losing sense of taste & smell wouldn’t be good, but some folks are left with devastating conditions.

They must have got that idea from club members?
But surely these (insert your preferred word here) and I agree with you fully btw can only book one appointment at a time? Any links Fish?
Post edit Found some links, yes while however wrong in our eyes that these people are not getting vaccinated they should not stop others doing so. Is this some form of crime they are are committing?

Was that in London by any chance?🙄🙄, you only ever mention London in a bad way Fish, is there anything good about the place?🤷🏻♂️

I dont make up the news or the headlines. Seems most news is London centred as it has a high population as you say maybe.Could be the problems in London are because of the role models at the highest level they follow. On the wider issue how many will be leaving the Metropolis this week end spreading the disease far and wide.So the last two posts directed at the wrong person.

And how many will be leaving Cardiff or Wales spreading the disease far and wide? It works both, in fact in any, ways.
All one can do is protect oneself.

If we had a decent set of folks in charge, then they should be investigated and prosecuted, but no, they prefer to target compassionate folk rescuing drowning migrants in the Channel. Hearts of Stone.☹️ There’s something very wrong with a small proportion of the human race at the moment……..

And Arthur if you read my post you'll see I said I found them?

London infection rates were very high in the first wave, less so in the Delta wave, but fell away very quickly to be replaced by hotspots in the North. Maybe we’ll see the same pattern this time?

Corner-At least Cardiff people will have done their bit. Between 80/90%s double vaccinated and similar with boosters.Perhaps its the clear, non huffing way the first minister lays out restrictions and guidance like today- taking the population with him.

Or maybe it’s something to do with having a much smaller population to deal with🤷🏻♂️
One explanation I heard for the SE having a lower proportion of vaxed people is that the average age of the population is lower than in many other areas. Hence, there were far more people way down the priority scale and they didn’t get the opportunity to be vaccinated until much later than the likes of us old timers. Makes sense to me.

NHS#, name, address, doctors surgery🤷🏻♂️. Then repeated again on turning up. I would expect the walk in would need to see you & an on line check done.

You are correct, you do need your NHS number but on TV last week there was a programme about a DSS fraudster who was registered with another doctor's practice in a different name in a different area. I suspect that there are numerous people doing that as people can simply change their names by Deed Poll, to enable them to claim benefits in different areas, so perhaps they obtain different NHS numbers as well .
