FG, go to My Profile at the head of the page, not the one on the right, and next select My Profile Information. You will then find the place for adding a photo but, as has been said, it needs Adobe.

Mine is like the picture of Dorian Gray, being about ten years old. I'm loth to update it lest I end up as yet another Spitting Image John Major.

Thanks. Unfortunately, I am one of those sad people using Apple products; i.e: MacBook and iPhone!
i did try though. On Safari there's no hope. On Google Chrome it says I need to install Flash. I tried but Apple doesn't support Flash..
I also tried to upload a photo to this comment but it says it's too big.
Oh well. Back to living a life!

You'll have to find a mate with a Windows system to do your profile.
The pic resizing problem is far more easily solved. You need a resizing app. I use Image Size from the App Store. It’s free and simple. 👍🏻

That didn't work then. All I've got on my MacBook is a couple of small blue squares with a question mark. Trying to open the image in a new tab comes up with a Google Code 403 Forbidden.

it worked yesterday ..... I saw them.
I gave up with posting pictures here years back .... I shouldn't have to resize pictures to be able to post them, I don't need to on any other forum I use, some of which are hosted by people in their box room, not by a multi million quid organisation.

I saw the photos yesterday as well.
I have employed drag an drop from my website but I do have to resize the photos first. I save them a separate page on my website and use Firefox to add them into a Story on here. I tile the pages so its easy to pull the photo across. ( I seem to remember Chasncath pointing out how it was done) It is not the most straightforward way of doing things but this website relies on photos being uploaded complete rather than relying on URL links which is the reason why they have to be resized. I seem to be unusual in that I still use a proper camera so I am used to resizing and editing photos. Many now seem to use their phones for taking pictures and these images are quite large in MB measurement.

I may be having a stab in the dark here but is the source from which you are loading the picture accessible to the public? If its behind a login it will only show whilst you have that source open on your computer? That might explain why we can all see the picture immediately after you post but when we go back to view latter we its not there? Have you tried saving the pictures to your desktop and loading from there?

I have drag and dropped this from my website:-
It had previously been resized and saved to my web site.
The slightly bigger picture I used in a story which seems to allow slightly larger pictures but they must be under 500kbs.

Lets have another try!!!
Edit:-
I am beginning to wonder if this is a browser issue? The photos I dragged and dropped don't appear in Chrome or Edge but they do in Firefox which is the browser I used to load the photos in the first place. In this post I added the photos by saving them to my desktop and use "Add Photos" button before posting. I suspect we won't see a resolution to the problem until if or when the forum software is changed/improved.

Strangely I can still see the picture of the Storks. If I view this website in Firefox I can still see the pictures I drag into the post but not when using other browsers. It always used to work so why it doesn't now I have no idea.
I have just downloaded an extension for Chrome that allows you to tile two pages side by side. However when I tried to drag pictures across from my website to the forum it wouldn't work.
