No improvement so removed both images.  My coast photo was very disappointing to view on here.

I can expand the images on here either on my PC or Android phone the details on most are good. If they're not good it could be the original wasn't very clear or maybe a copy of an old photo that lacks the clarity of modern photos. You could try posting different photos to see which ones come up well on here. Older phones may not have quite such good focus. Photos enhance CT so worth a try. smile

Zoomed to full size on my iPad it is clear enough and as ET says it's smaller than what is permitted.

Does anyone know how to edit photos (down size) on an HTC android phone. I'm not having much luck, maybe there is an app which might be useful? Thanks smile

The image size app top far left by Codenia, in this screen shot from the Google play store, works well on the iPad version. Would that be compatible with your phone?

I use photo and picture resize, an app from play store, as recommended by ?DSB? On CT and find it simple 😂

Yes, photo & picture resizer works on Android - second from left on Steve's picture of apps above - dead easy to use!

With your recommendation SL it usually sets it up sub 500kb just by uploading a pic to the App👍🏻😊

Gardening rained off, so I've been experimenting with using Google maps and streetview on CT discussions. What I've discovered is that Google maps provides a 'share' facility when you select a location on a map.

Click on the share symbol, copy the embed code.

On your discussion, click on the Video button, select embed, and copy in the code.

    Simple! Here's an example

but when we had a motorhome and were with MotorHome Fun you could upload 10 at a time so i dont know what the difference is.

BJ - if you are using an android device download the app called "photo and picture resizer" . Then it just takes a couple of clicks. I know folk will say it shouldn't be necessary but it obviously is and it really couldn't be simpler with that app. smile

Tell us what device you are using BJ and we might move further.

Believe me, if I can do it, it ain't rocket science.

Even I can do it, and I'm a dinosaur as far as computing is concerned.

BJ, I’m using an iPad as well and use the Image Size app. It is simple. Just play about with it and get the hang of it. Shout if you get stuck.

I gave up ages back too ..... I know it's possible as other do it, but why does it have to be harder than every other forum on the web?

No, it's a freebie, BJ. There are adverts but they're not intrusive.

I think there's a pro version you can buy but its not necessary for my needs.

If you are doing a lot, where it could become a little annoying, as long as you temporarily turn your Wi Fi off, you don't get them and the App still works fine.

edit forgot to add. Of course photos must be on the pad, not in the cloud.

+1, I too use it👍🏻. If you want the problem solving then keep at it, go on YouTube & find a tutorial that will show you live what to do. Giving up don’t get the problem solved👍🏻😊

BJ, the one I use on my Kindle Fire is Photo and Picture Resizer, the second one in from the left on SteveL photo, back a few pages. I've found it very easy to use. It's another free one too.

Trying to upload a photo to my Profile page but can't see a way to do it. I can see the link to add photos to comments but not the Profile page.

    Any advice please?

It does say that you need Adobe Flash Player  to upload a profile picture. I am not sure all platforms allow Flash Player? You should be OK if you are using a Windows system.

Apple iOS devices don't support flash. I believe there are apps you can use that allow a work around, but could not be bothered and used my old windows laptop. It's why it has remained unchanged for so long, as I almost always use my pad.
