Could this be the light at the end of the tunnel?

It’s hard to answer when we don’t know what you mean by “my insurance company”.
But if you want to know about Red Pennant it is surely better to ask them rather than ask here.
I hope things go well for you.

Not sure when you are now booked for but if i did not have to work I would be gone now. We changed to September in the hope things would have eased but with our daily rates now highest in Europe (maybe the world) we may not be allowed over there by time its our turn.

Did you see the caravan and awning being smashed to pieces up against and through that bridge on the TV news? Hope that there was no one trapped in it and they had time to get out before the worst happened. There's a photo of Prumtal Camping in Oberweis on another forum with vans floating in the water and the owners think that they will be unable to open this year.

Hits home. We have stayed on a site next to the Ahr river one June just for a couple of nights and the river was just below us. Talking to the owner she said they do flood occasionally but not in Summer.
As I said elsewhere I do feel for anyone either caught up in it or having to cope with flooded premises.

What I meant by 'my insurance company' is literally that, the company I use.
My answer was in relation to someone asking a question about cover.
I do not want to know about Red Pennant as I do not use them, that was AD that posted what he found out from them.
Thank you for your good wishes ☺

AD we have been thinking of moving our tunnel forward but we can only do so by a week, as we have things booked that cannot be changed.
We have the same concerns as MichealT, will we actually get away this year with numbers going through the roof. Its alright the UK Gov saying we can go, they over there just might not want us.

Shocking pictures of a caravan being ‘munched up’ as the force of flood water took it under a low bridge. Anybody unfortunate enough to still be in it would be unlikely to survive.

"Its alright the UK Gov saying we can go, they over there just might not want us."
not sure Spain does not want our money, however, lots of new restrictions being introduced, night time curfews, Andalusia, Valencia and Murcia regions threatening to close beaches, we have channel crossings into France with a drive down into Spain for end of next week and we can stay in our daughters holiday cottage, but not great if you are confined to barracks

Yup, that was the photo I was referring to in my previous post. Horrible mess, and there are a lot, not only in Germany, but in Belgium and The Netherlands that look similar.

How long before France & Spain go on the red list
EL PIAS
"Covid-19 cases have been rising exponentially in Spain once more since the end of June, with new infections doubling each week. The pandemic is in a different phase, thanks to the vaccination campaign, but concerns are rising for two reasons: the speed of the spread – above all among young people – and hospital admissions, which are also going up. A number of Spanish regions have already toughened up their restrictions."
