Hi everyone, If you could plan the ultimate overseas motorhome or caravan tour, where would you go and why? Would it be the highways of the USA or the dramatic coastlines of New Zealand? Or how about somewhere more off the beaten path, like the Australian Outback? For me the idea of combining travel with a motorhome seems…
Hi. We’re looking to do a 2/3 week road trip in our motorhome & would really appreciate some advice. We’re looking to go by ferry to Santander, then travel down to spend roughly a week/10 days around the Seville/coast area, before returning home. Looking at early March this year & hoping for some winter sun! Would really…
following our very enjoyable motorhome tour down the river Rhine a couple of years ago, we have decided to have a look at the Black Forest. We have found a site called Belchenblick, which at first glance looked fine, but some of the reviews gave it a real pasting, so we are having second thoughts. Any recommendations for…
We are having our first trip abroad this summer in our campervan. Having looked at the ACSI website I'm not sure if we would benefit from joining as we will not be using sites in low season. I have read previous posts on ferrys etc which have been very useful.
Has anyone any experience of the new EES going via Portsmouth & Caen. How does it work please? Thank-you.
Hi all… Can anyone recommend a good quiet caravan site preferably with serviced pitches, down towards the Biarritz area? Probably going late September this year?
We're taking our caravan over to Portugal later this year, aiming to be in Vilamoura early July for our daughters wedding. The plan is to stop off at a number of CAMC sites on the way down , spending a few days at each one, making our way from Santander across the top of Spain then down the coast of Portugal. The closest…
News to me at least, but according to "the other club" you now are strongly advised to register any trailer, including caravans with a GVW above 750 kg. Apparently a few people have been fined in Germany for not having registered their vans. See gov.uk/register-trailer-to-take-abroad. Of course - it costs to register…
Hello, We want to spend 3 months of the winter around the Almeria region of southern Spain. Probably crossing the channel at Portsmouth or Plymouth to France. What the best route through France then Spain. Open roads would be preferable, not worried about toll charges Thanks, Marty (MHJ).
There has been some historical evidence of French campsites either being reluctant or refusing twin axle caravans access. If anyone has recently travelled to France with a twin axle caravan, could you comment on your experience with French campsites. Thanks in advance for any information.
