I think your point is well made Trellis. The biggest problem i see, however, is that these 'young and up and coming' spinners being selected in the first place. Mr Root has a large say in team selection and obviously got it very wrong in the last Test. Tomorrow, on the same square, it will be interesting to see how many of the seamers get picked (rested is the modern phrase, I believe) particularly as the current crop are unable to amass 10 runs between them. If Root can achieve 5-8, the inclusion of Bess and Parkinson (for example) could mean we get the Indians all out for 20 (in each innings) thus ensuring a famous England victory!! My figures assume England will get 41 runs in extras! Roll on tomorrow

Oh No We Haven't !!
If we can find a decent batting coach, JR, could we smuggle him in at about No 5 ??
Still I saw the wikits again on More4 + 1 and they did not look any better but I've got it sussed for tomorrow ( probably the last day ) -- I will get up at same time, go for my newspaper then put on BBC 1 to watch the ATHLETICS !!

Quite agree JR, 65~ 6 now ! Even the commentators back in England { Rishi Persad, Andrew Strauss, and young Ebony } are using words like Abject and Surrender and such -- think I will try to find a televised 'shove 'appeny' league to watch 'til the athletics starts
P.S. ?? High Lights, JR High lights ?? -- none to be seen from England's point of view alas !!

Ah Well, Tuesday 13:30 should see if its just a case of Winning the toss means winning the game / series, but Brian has a nasty feeling that it's all going to somewhere in a Handcart
Doomed, doomed, we're all doomed
I think I will close down for a few hours and go off to read a couple or six different fantasy books, sniff, sniff !
