Really enjoyed the 600th wicket, but also the batting of Rawlings too.

Forecast is good for tomorrow at Owd Trafford, so it will give our Opponents a fair chance to level the series. Only reasonable to do that, especially since like West Indies they have come here, sat in " Bubbles" despite having quite possibly extended families/relations here who might only see them as we do -- on some lap top or such, for which I sincerely thank them anyway !!
Not many more "Purist" than Brian wrt the relevant place in the sporting world of Test and/or short form Cricket But like the difference / similarities 'tween sportscar driving and HGV driving never the twain shall meet but both have their place out there in the great wide world

England lost their final T20 game against Pakistan on the final ball, but last night, the position was reversed in what was THE MOST UNLIKELY victory ever! Talk about exciting!! (sorry for "shouting")
Brian, I have to say the subscription to Sky was repaid ten-fold last night. Talk about the Phoenix rising from the (not going to mention that word) AND against the Aussies too!
I shall be crowing for weeks to come Lawd knows what Geoffery made of that!

Tuesday 8th September 17:46 hrs
I'm sitting sat here with non-alcoholic drinks, low calorie snacks to hand and woe is me We've lost the toss .
So we must apply the pressure on the pitch ( Heavy rollers over Smith & Warner perhaps ??)
Still we shall see -- or more actually you might see, but I will have to put up with just hearing their squeals of anguish from the comfort of my reclined arm chair

Bit of a dead rubber and England missing two of their best batsmen.

" Ain't Bad " -- no it's worse than that I'm afraid -- seems like the slapdash sort of effort similar to the latest C19 attitude __ the Boss is missing so lets take it easy. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR !
I think there might be a serious " Sit Down & LISTEN " talk before the 50 ~ over games start -- and team selection must be part of that talk !!

Have to agree with your comments Brian. A very unprofessional and lacklustre performance by England, especially when we had the opportunity to grind their noses in it. Ok, it was our "second X1" but we missed a golden opportunity there.
We could have had a further dozen or so runs off Starc's final 2 overs as he bowled consistently down leg-side, our batsman deciding to 'run to leg' instead of moving across the stumps and either flicking him to leg or getting a wide. Mr Butler would probably have had at least 30 runs off him!
And so to Old Trafford..........
