Those that call me on my mobile know that it is 99% certain that no answer means that I am driving as my phone is at hand at all other times -never out of my pocket. Fliss' phone will ring shortly afterwards with the caller asking 'is he driving'
If it is important from friends, neighbours or family then they will phone OH. If my phone rings when driving the Fliss automatically takes her mobile out of her handbag
Banks, doctors, dentist etc use text.

I am generally reluctant to give out my mobile telephone number as I don't carry it around with me, especially at home so might not hear it. However the Club have both home and mobile numbers. If there was an issue with a site that I was visiting a phone call is by the easiest way of getting that information on the road. I might not see a text or an email until we stop somewhere. Fortunately both our vehicles have handsfree (if I remember to set it up!!!) otherwise Margaret can answer the phone.

Why is it wrong? it is JK who was wrong with his post "advising" . inadvertently it was all sites?
It has been updated with the sites that now on a temporary basis are not accepting arrivals before 1300hrs
,All other sites are as their advertised arrival times also what site "shops" are closed

I read it as the normal arrival time as on the site information when booking , would be earliest arrival time "from 1200 " as several sites on the network have 1300 hrs as normal t
The sites that are shown on the list i would read that as those with the , at this time Temporary changes to arrivel times

The earliest arrival times are from 12pm for all campsites unless otherwise stated.
Fail as badly worded. when it says as otherwise stated one would expect to see it in the list beneath giving arrival time if not 12pm.
After all it does give earliest arrival for Edinburgh as 10am. Not consistent is it?

Indeed it is confusing, the list says earliest arrival times 12:00 unless otherwise stated. Berwick blank, although I know it's 1pm and site page confirms that. Clumber shown as changed to 1 pm and site page confirms.
I have just received an email re a future booking at Berwick and that makes no mention of earliest arrival time at all.
It is difficult to know which bit of information to trust.

Too simple, AD! You know how HO likes to complicate things.

You are also strongly encouraged to wear a face covering in other enclosed public spaces where social distancing may be difficult and where you come into contact with people you do not normally meet.
This must then apply in both the reception area and the toilets, surely?

Evening
If you look at the corona virus faq's on this website it does state that as of 24/7 people will be required to wear a face covering in reception and communal areas.

Probably its expected but not having much success, that English members would be aware
With some staff still working from home, because of socialas it seems with two other companies we have dealt with in the last week, those who are at the "coal face"are very much doing more than their "bit"to keep all things up to date, as we have found things get missed

I can see what your getting at JVB, as I note Chatsworth (which I also know to be 1pm) shows no time.
However, the top of the page clearly states:-
"The earliest arrival times are from 12pm for all campsites unless otherwise stated."
If what you say is the case and it is only showing the temporary changes, it needs to clearly state that. Indeed if that was the intention it would have made much more sense just to list those sites that had changed. Including all the sites is just confusing.

I still read it as "from" many places advertise their products as "from"
I think as with a lot of posts it is a bit of "nit picking" just to keep "finding"problems that as everything it seems these days, , is not their perfect world that some would expect others to a here to

I think what's missing is a professional approach. Perfection is rare but a bit of joined up thinking is the least one would expect.

When I produced material of any complexity to be delivered to local people when highway works were being undertaken I would get a few people who new nothing about the scheme and a couple who had a general awareness in order that it was proof read. It is all too easy to overlook points when producing such stuff when you yourself have intimate knowledge and no fully what you want to present.
No idea what systems the club use but there seems too many fails over the years were one might think that proof reading had only considered grammar rather than content.

I know staff are working from home and that could certainly be a reason for the very slow response to this. However, working from home is no excuse for the very sloppy presentation. From 12:00 means just that, not go and consult other sources to see when it is OK to arrive.😀
There has still of course not been a global email, so unless folk use CT or check / understand the web site, there will still be queues back to Lime Tree Avenue.☹️

Unless individuals are being notified before arrival. Most businesses might consider doing this by text and e-mail.
