Just watched today’s briefing. What a shambles. I’ve only watched two now, but quite what purpose they are serving I am not sure.
Ruf’s, the timing might just be because there’s a recess in Parliament at the moment, and therefore those protecting Mr Cummings will hope that this all blows over. Judging by the performance of our leader today, and Grant “Jackanory” Shapps yesterday, I think they will need to try much harder to convince members of their own party, and those who voted for them, let alone those who didn’t. BJ barely answered a single question on the issue, other than to say he believed DC. That’s not a defence, it’s burying ones head in the sand and ignoring the huge sacrifice’s and hardship that lots of other parents have faced.

Today Mr Starmer admitted that his kids had been going to school since lock down began but has he put his head above the parapit to support a return to school for all those under privilidged kids gagging to go back to school, i dont think so

Schools have been open Rufs and two of our family have been going in on a rota to look after vulnerable and keyworkers children. Our local village school has two groups of children in every day, mostly outside work due to the good weather.
Just heard our youngest grandson will be going back to school on the 8th in the NE. His last term in Primary school.

My niece is Deputy Head at one of our local schools. She has worked throughout making sure essential workers children, and vulnerable children, have had the daytime care they need.
Keir Starmer’s wife works for the NHS, and I think it might just be important to have the political party leaders of all parties on hand and available throughout the crisis.

The problem is JK is that whether we like it or not we are mired in politics be that with a big or small P. Our lives are being controlled by politicians to a far greater extent than any time in my life. Decisions made by politicians are currently having a direct impact on all of our lives so I suspect it difficult to avoid references to what is currently happening. I would certainly discourage people from getting two political and by that I mean by comparing sides of the political divide and some posts are getting very close to that line. It is the very nature of the situation we find ourselves in that is prompting such discussion. We continue to monitor discussions.
