Mail Order Cornish Pasties
As we cannot go to Cornwall at the moment.... I was going to order some Philps Pasties on line for delivery but they are closed because of ‘some virus or other’ that’s going about at the moment!
Can anyone recommend any other supplier of Cornish Pasties who I can order online from, for delivery to Staffordshire ?

Sorry, Brummieboy, but I can’t think of anyone who sells online. There are several decent pasty makers around but they don’t do online.
Nobody makes them like Philps, though, so I'd be tempted to sit it out and wait rather than be disappointed. I’m getting withdrawal symptoms myself.😢

Hi Brummie, obviously a trip would be considered vital if it was to collect a pasty! I have looked at a few and all closed except for;

There is a 15% discount with the code ‘prima’ so worth having a look. I am lucky as the beauty of my Cornish wife is almost matched her pasties!

That'll help reduce the calorie count 🙂

I’ve found some-‘Ginsters traditional Cornish pasties’ they seem to be available, it’s good that a company continues to supply that traditional taste of Cornwall👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I was going to say make your own as they are easy. I looked at the BBC food recipe...since when did garlic become one of the ingredients and no swede either. Hmm. what makes a good pasty then?
I found this later...Make your own Genuine Cornish Pasty

Good one, Rocky. 😛

My pasty but I don't deliver. I've always put carrots in mine and never swede but they still go down a treat with the family.

That’s a nice looking Lancashire pasty, Jill. 😀

Living elsewhere but being Cornish makes my effort at making a 'Cornish Pasty' quite credible. Not exactly the 'D' shape and fairly random with the crimp, but they weren't alf tasty.
Been a few years since these two steak and two Veggies, have to put the apron on again .

We have to make allowances, Brian. He’s from Yorkshire. 😗

Evening
So, been drifting around Cornwall for a good few years now and every year there's a quest to find a good local pasty. This year has it's challenges and we're staying local. We've found a fantastic pasty shop in our local town, it's called Sarah's Pasties in Looe. They will deliver for a minimum order (no problem with me!!). They will also do postal orders, check out their website.

Nah, that was tin miners in Cornwall. The crust was the handle and was thrown away after eating the two course savoury and sweet filling as obviously it was filthy and coated in arsenic from being held in a miner's hands. That is why the genuine Cornish pasty is crimped along the side and not on top.

This has just solved a dilemma for us. Our veggie box has a swede in it, and (cheating I know) but we have some pastry in freezer. I think I might get OH on the case tomorrow!😁

Have you been to Anne’s Pasty Shop in Lizard? Superb. Obviously when out and about becomes the norm again.👍

Without Googling for answer JV, do you know how you can tell a classic tractor from Cornwall?
