That's equivalent to nearly £4 today, so either they saw you coming or today's prices are not so bad!  👍

That’s Cornish humour, DT. They always wind folk up like that to make them think they’re getting a bargain. You fell for it.😄

In any case, one solitary example would hardly count as 'everything'.

I refer you to my earlier post. It’s a very reasonable price from an independent bakery which wouldn’t remain in business if it overcharged or produced rubbish so I’ve no need to try them especially as A&J gave them their seal of approval.

I wasn’t getting any bargain as I didn’t own the wagon.

I did once try one at Indian queens and that was expensive sheep swill

Hi Dave, As you seem to be an expert in all things Cornish can you please tell me how I should deal with the seagulls?

Every Thursday at 8pm people are banging saucepans, letting off fireworks and clapping and its confusing the hell out of them.

I did consider getting some Ginsters ‘baked goods’ to placate them but my neighbour has threatened  to report me as they consider it cruelty.

Ann’s Pasties on Lizard are still open and mail order supplying according to their website. They are delicious. I’m living in hope that I will get to spend my summer down there this year.

Hmmm. ... this is my kind of pasty, but if you want it by post, as the saying goes, you're going to need a bigger box! smile

We missed the opportunity to visit Newquay this year, one of our favourite camping spots in the UK.  We missed the pasties so much we bought from proper pasty company, they deliver pasties by post and have a great selection https://www.properpasty.co.uk/collections/pasties-by-post hope this helps.  We've ordered from them 4 times so far and every time the pasties are consistently good.
